The Resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the Scripture

Good morning beloved friends, ministers and brethren present, and those in different countries, ministers and brethren in your congregations, and also missionary Miguel Bermudez Marin there in Monterrey, in the congregation of Reverend Epifanio Lopez.

Receive my greetings everyone; and may God bless you and keep you, and use you greatly in His Work, and may He open the Scriptures to us and our understanding in order to comprehend. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

At this time, we will be watching three videos about events of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace carried out as part of the projects: “Life is in the Blood: Donating the Sap of Life” and the “Children of Mother Earth Program.” Therefore, go ahead with the broadcast.

Matthew, chapter 28, verse 1 and on, which speaks to us about the resurrection of Jesus Christ (this took place Sunday morning):

“In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that He is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.”

May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.

For today, the subject of our Bible school for this Sunday morning is: “THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE.” That is the subject of our Bible school for today, Sunday, April 16, 2017.

With His death and in His death, Jesus Christ carried in His body the sins of the human being. That was the day of divine judgment upon the human race; if He had not died, the entire human race would have had to die due to sin. There, He saved the world from the death that had to fall upon humanity.

He took our sins and became mortal dying as a sinner, not for His sins, but for the sins of mankind. That was what saved mankind from death on Good Friday, when the devil placed the sting of death on Christ and the devil lost the sting of death; and now the human being can obtain eternal life through Christ our Savior, he can enter into the Divine New Covenant to live eternally by being born again in the Kingdom of Christ, the Kingdom of God, with eternal life.

First comes the spiritual part of the new birth and then comes the physical part, which is the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of the believers in Christ, which are alive, who have been born again into the Mystical Body of Christ our Savior.

On the Day of the Resurrection, Sunday morning, Jesus Christ arose victoriously; because the Spirit that was in Him raised, resurrected His physical body; and many saints of the Old Testament resurrected with Him, as the Scripture says: “And they appeared unto many in the city of Jerusalem.1

Jesus Christ arose victoriously for the good of all the believers in Him: for all those written in the Lamb’s Book of Life and all the elect of God, whether Jews or gentiles.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ, Sunday morning, very early in the morning, He arose victoriously from among the dead. We also see that angels of God were there. Just like when He was born, the Angel Gabriel appeared to the virgin Mary and spoke to her about whose child she would give birth to. And whose was He? He was God’s, through the Holy Spirit.

And we also find that there are other Scriptures that speak about who Jesus Christ was, is, and will be, the Word made flesh; which speaks to us about God in Holy Spirit, in that veil of flesh called Yeshua or Jesus, in whom God dwelled in all His fullness; and God in all His fullness dwells in the glorified body of Jesus Christ, who is sitting on the Throne of God and all power was given to Him in Heaven and on Earth; therefore, God governs all of Creation from His heavenly Throne through His Spirit working in Jesus Christ glorified. It is as simple as that.

He is Emmanuel: God with us, dressed in a body of flesh, who visited us about two thousand years ago. The veil of flesh is the physical body of God, which is already glorified and sitting at the right hand of God, as the High Priest, interceding for everyone who receives Him as their only and sufficient Savior.

He is the owner, the heir of all the Creation, because through Him, while being in a heavenly body, God created all things. The heavenly body of God or theophanic body, is Jesus Christ in His spiritual body called the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, we have a High Priest in Heaven, who resurrected and offered Himself for each one of us, who said He would sit at the right hand of God; and He did, when He ascended to Heaven.

Notice, in Matthew, chapter 26, verse 63 to 64, it says:

“But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.”

And in Revelation, chapter 3, verse 20 to 21, He confirms that He is sitting on the Throne of God. It says in Revelation, chapter 3, verses 20 to 21:

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”

And now, just as He victoriously ascended to Heaven on Resurrection Day, and sat at the right hand of God, and all power was given to Him in Heaven and on Earth, and He is the King of Heaven and Earth, and therefore, He is the coming King of Revelation, chapter 19, verses 11 and on…; now He promises (says):

“To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

He sat on the heavenly Throne with the Father. And now He says He will grant the overcomer to sit with Him on His Throne, just as it happened to Him in Heaven, in the heavenly Throne.

The heavenly Throne is the Throne of God; the earthly Throne is the Throne of David, to which Christ is heir; and He will grant the overcomer to sit with Him on His Throne, just like God did with Him in the heavenly Kingdom. It is as simple as that.

In other services and conferences, we will see that subject in more detail; though we have spoken about that subject on other occasions; but on another occasion we will review that subject of Revelation, chapter 3, verse 21 about the earthly Throne to which Christ is the heir.

And now, for Christ, for God, and for all the believers in Christ, the great victory of the resurrection of Christ has brought us great blessings from God, and a faith and hope of eternal life in the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, there is hope for the human being who believes in Christ. There is hope for the person who receives Christ as his Savior, who has been baptized in His Name repented of his sins, and Christ has baptized him with the Holy Spirit and Fire, and has brought forth the new birth in the individual: he has been born again, but not born again in an earthly manner, but born again spiritually, born again in the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Christ, which is in the spiritual realm.

And in His Second Coming, when He resurrects the believers in Him who have died, who are coming with Him, He will transform those who are alive; and then we will have glorified bodies just as the glorified body that Jesus Christ has: a young body throughout eternity, a body with eternal life.

The physical body we have has temporary life, because it is under the permissive will of God; but the new body, the glorified body He will give to us, is a body with eternal life, eternal youth, and all things eternal: eternal power and an eternal position in the Kingdom of God.

Therefore, we are blessed to have our names written in Heaven, in the Lamb’s Book of Life, for whom Christ died on Calvary’s Cross and on the third day He resurrected victoriously for the glory of God. We are the beneficiaries of all the Work of Redemption that Christ has done for the human being.

The victorious resurrection of Christ is the greatest blessing God gave each one of us. The resurrection of Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures brings us faith, hope, happiness, it brings us all the blessings from Heaven.

First of Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 20 and on, says:

“But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.

For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming.

Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.

For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.

The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.

And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.”

And then, in the same chapter 15, verse 51 and on, He speaks to us:

“Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

We have seen that our work in the Lord is not in vain, everything is stored in the Kingdom of God. Christ Himself said: “Lay up for yourselves treasures (where?), in Heaven.2” The treasure of the believer is stored in Heaven.

Here on Earth, even money devalues, it loses its value; even properties lose their value. But in Heaven, what happens is that everything one does in the Work of the Lord is multiplied, everything is to be inherited and enjoyed in the Millennial Kingdom of Christ and throughout eternity.

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is in the New Covenant. Jesus says in chapter 12, verses 18 and on, speaking about Mount Horeb or Mount Sinai, says [Hebrews]:

“For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,

And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:

(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)

But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”

The believers in Christ, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, are under the New Covenant, no longer with animal blood but with the Blood of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, of whom John the Baptist said: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.3

Therefore, the resurrection of Christ brings us all those blessings He won with His death on Calvary’s Cross, and with His ascension to Heaven glorified, where He received all power in Heaven and on Earth, and He is sitting at the right hand of God, on the heavenly Throne of God.

And soon, we will also have the earthly Throne of God, which is the Throne of David that is taken up, where He will be governing from, just as He is governing from Heaven. And He will do as it was done with Him in Heaven for Him to sit on the heavenly Throne, that is what He will do with the overcomer, which says: “I will grant him to sit with me in my Throne.”

THE CRUCIFIXION, of which we spoke about last Friday, as the introduction to today’s Bible school, and today, our subject has been: “THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE.”

After a few minutes we will go on to the Holy Supper, which is important because it is a memorial that reminds us of the Sacrifice of Christ on Calvary’s Cross, and which teaches us that whoever doesn’t take it has no part with Christ; because it is the Blood of the New Covenant that is commemorated in the wine, and it is the body of Christ that is commemorated in the bread; and in Washing of Feet we commemorate being cleansed with the Blood of Christ.

That is why it is so important, to the point that Peter said: “Thou shalt never wash my feet.” Christ told him: “If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.4” In other words, that memorial remains in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ until we are changed and taken with Him to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

If there is someone who has not received Christ yet, you may do so at this time, and we will be praying for you, whether you are here or in another country.

The most important thing for a person, for each person, is life; especially eternal life. Without eternal life, there is no hope for the human being. Without Christ, there is no hope and faith to expect to live eternally.; and Jesus Christ is the Truth and the Life, and no man cometh unto the Father, but by Him (says John, chapter 14, verse 6 and on).

There is a way of eternal life and to eternal life and it is Jesus Christ, who said: “I am the way, the truth and life, and no man cometh to the Father but by me.”

Don’t look for eternal life anywhere else; it is only in Jesus Christ. It is not a matter of religions, but of a person who died on Calvary’s Cross and who resurrected on the third day, Sunday morning; and His Name is Lord Jesus Christ or Yeshua, the Messiah.

It is so simple to obtain eternal life, but only one person has it: the Lord Jesus Christ, to give it to everyone who receives Him as only and sufficient Savior. That is why He said in Mark 16, verse 15 to 16: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

There are only two things: eternal life or damnation. And the individual has free moral agency, so it is up to each person —after hearing the Gospel— to choose between believing in Christ and receiving Him as his Savior to be saved, or reject Him for perdition, not to live eternally. But we all want to live eternally, and we want all people to live eternally; that is why we preach the Gospel of Christ, the Gospel for our salvation.

Let’s stand up to pray for the people who are coming to the Feet of Christ, both here and in other countries.

With our heads bowed:

Heavenly Father who art in Heaven, I come to You in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ with all these people, here and in other countries, who are receiving Christ as their only and sufficient Savior. I pray You receive them in Your Kingdom. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I pray to You, to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

And now, those who have come to the Feet of Christ, repeat this prayer after me:

Lord Jesus Christ, I heard the preaching of Your Gospel, and Your faith was born in my heart.

I believe in You with all my soul. I believe in Your Name as the only name under Heaven, given among men, whereby we must be saved. I believe in Your First Coming… I believe in Your First Coming as a Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world.

I acknowledge Your Sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross as the atonement for our sins.

Lord, I acknowledge that I am a sinner and that I need a Savior. I give public testimony of Your faith in me, and I receive You as my only and sufficient Savior.

I pray that You forgive my sins, and with Your Blood may You cleanse me from all sin, and baptize me with the Holy Spirit and Fire, and bring forth the new birth in me. I pray to You in Your Eternal and glorious Name, Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen.

Now, those who have come to the Feet of Christ will ask: “When can you baptize me? For I have believed in Christ as my Savior.”

The baptism in water does not take away sin, the Blood of Christ is what cleanses us from all sin, but the baptism in water is a commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ, who said: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”

It is because in the baptism in water we identify with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. We were in Him as a seed of God.

Therefore, you may carry out the baptism in water now, as it was done in Christianity in the time of the apostles; and may Christ baptize you with Holy Spirit and Fire, and bring forth the new birth in you.

I leave Reverend Jose Benjamin Perez with you to continue, and I also leave the ministers in different countries to continue, to inform those who have received Christ what they must do to be baptized in water in the Name of the Lord.

Then, we will have the Holy Supper in remembrance of Christ and His Sacrifice on Calvary’s Cross.

The subject of today’s Bible school has been: “THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE.”

May God bless you and keep you; and with you now, Reverend Jose Benjamin Perez, and in each country I leave each minister.

Today is a day of spiritual feast, in commemoration of the resurrection of Christ our Savior. Therefore, we will also have the Holy Supper, and each one of us will be confessing to God any fault, short-coming, or problem, and on good terms with our brethren, with our neighbor, and everyone; and if you need to speak to your brother, then speak to him, so that the Holy Supper becomes a blessing to you, so that you don’t drink damnation, so that you don’t drink and eat damnation, but rather blessing of God.

God bless you and keep you, and we will see each other at the service of the Holy Supper.

“THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURE.”
