Good evening, beloved brethren and friends present, and those who are in different countries: ministers and their congregations.
Warm greetings to Mr. Ivan Sarmiento, and his wife Amanda, at these events of the Global Embassy of Activists for Peace taking place in Colombia; and also warm greetings to everyone gathered this evening in Bogota, Colombia for the closure of these great events being carried out there in Colombia. May God bless you and onward, because success is guaranteed!
On this occasion, let us read the Scripture in Isaiah, chapter 11, verse 1 and on. It says:
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;
And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:
But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.
And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den.
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand it. Today, Friday, February 17, 2017, we have the introduction to the Bible study of next Sunday, February 19th.
“DAVID, THE EIGHTH SON OF JESSE, ANOINTED AS THE KING OF ISRAEL.”
When the time came in which God rejected Saul from being king over Israel, He anointed, David was anointed as king, as a young man, whom already had experiences of God’s power manifested through him.
And when he was anointed as king, his brothers were there; he was the eighth one, the youngest in the family and when he was anointed with the oil, which is type of the Holy Spirit, he was anointed to be king. Therefore, the eighth son of Jesse was anointed to be king over Israel.
Therefore, David’s dynasty continues; and in this end time David’s dynasty will be restored and his kingdom will be restored, and his throne will be restored. The eighth son of Jesse, that is who will be the king over Israel in this end time. Therefore, next Sunday we will see in more detail the eighth son of Jesse.
May God bless you and keep you; and continue having a joyful evening filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior.
