Good afternoon, beloved friends and brethren present, and all those who are in other nations, ministers and their congregations, believers in Christ our Savior, and Missionary Miguel Bermúdez Marín. Receive my greetings.
For this occasion, let’s read the Scripture of First Kings chapter 19, verses 4 and on, which speaks about the Prophet Elijah, after he had the showdown on Mount Carmel against four hundred and fifty priests of Baal and four hundred of the groves [Asherah], he fled to Mount Horeb or Mount Sinai. And the Bible passage says the following: chapter 19 of First Kings, verse 1 and on (so that we have a clear picture):
“And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword.
Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time.
And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beersheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O Lord, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.
And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again.
And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.
And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the Lord came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah?
And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And, behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord; but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?
And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.
And the Lord said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria:
And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room.
And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay.
Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.”
May God bless our souls with His Word, may He open the Scriptures to us and our understanding so that we understand. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
For the subject of today’s Bible school, we have the Bible study titled: “ELIJAH ON THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD.”
Everyone has desired to be on the mountain of God, where God gave Moses the two tables of stone with the ten commandments. And it is possible to be on the Mountain of God at this end time; which we will see and understand in the Bible study for today’s Sunday school, titled: “ELIJAH ON THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD.”
Before going to the mountain of God, Elijah had a showdown with the prophets of Baal and the prophets of the groves, whom he asked through King Ahab to be summoned to Mount Carmel to offer the sacrifice; for the prophets of Baal and of the groves to offer their sacrifices to Baal and to the groves, and for Elijah to offer his sacrifice to the God of Israel, and whoever answered by fire would be God.1
Now, the King summons the priests of Baal, four hundred and fifty, and the four hundred priests of the groves, to face Elijah in that showdown. Elijah asks that they be the first to offer the sacrifice they have for Baal, because there are more of them. Four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal and four hundred of the groves are more than Elijah, who was only one person.
Therefore, he gives them the opportunity to present their sacrifices, and whoever answers by fire is the true God, that is God; and therefore, that is whom Israel would serve. “But if Baal does not answer by fire and the God of Israel does, then serve the Lord, the God of Israel, the Eternal One.”
They offered sacrifices; sacrifices to Baal were offered by Baal’s prophets, Baal’s priests, and they didn’t answer; and time passed by, hours passed, and they would cut themselves and bleed, offering the sacrifice, and they were anxious because the fire was not coming down. But Elijah couldn’t be more calm, he mocked them, and said to them: “Cry louder, maybe he is on a journey! Cry louder, maybe he is sleeping!”
But when the time came for the offering of the sacrifice in the temple, back then Elijah… the evening sacrifice, let’s say from 3:00 in the afternoon and on, or at 3:00 in the afternoon, Elijah offered the sacrifice to God and asked Him to answer by fire, and he told the people: “If the Lord is God, if the Eternal One is God, let Him answer by fire and you will serve Him. Serve Him.” That was the recommendation of the Prophet Elijah.
It was the ten tribes of Israel ruled by Ahab and Jezebel, those were the people who were summoned to Mount Carmel, where the Fire of God, the Presence of God, came down. Remember that God is a consuming Fire, the Scripture says.
And He consumed the water around the trench that Elijah made or asked to be made around the bullock that was sacrificed. He told them to do it three times: to pour water and fill the whole area where the sacrifice was, and he cried out to God; and fire came down from Heaven and consumed the sacrifice. The people cried out: “The Eternal One is God, and we will serve Him.”
Elijah ordered that all of Baal’s priests be taken, and he slayed them in the brook; a type and figure of what God will do to the false prophets who interrupt God’s program and divert the people of God: He will cast them into the lake of fire; they will be condemned, judged and condemned, and cast into the lake of fire, like what happened to the impersonators who imitated Moses and wanted to take the priesthood, but the priesthood was not granted to them (Dathan, Korah, and Abiram); and Moses prayed and the earth swallowed them up. They went down to hell alive.2
And now, we have the Prophet Elijah, a faithful believer in Moses as a servant of God and in the Message of Moses, the Message of the Law. And the Hebrew people were in a time of downfall—the ten tribes of Israel, the Northern tribes, which were given to a descendant of Ephraim and he led them astray, because he put a golden calf in Bethel and another one in another place so that the people wouldn’t go to Jerusalem to worship God because they would join the King of Judah.3
And now, we find that idolatry completely entered into the ten tribes of Israel, the ten tribes of the North; and there was a group of seven thousand believers in the God of Israel left who had not bowed to Baal.
And now, God gave the victory through the Prophet Elijah and the people wholeheartedly turned to God.
Then, they go up the mountain, to the highest part, and from there, Elijah tells his servant:
—“Look West, toward the sky.”
The servant goes and comes back, and says:
—“I don’t see anything.”
—“Do it *seven times.”
The *seventh time, a little cloud appeared, like the size of a man’s hand. The servant of Elijah returns, and Elijah tells him:
—“What do you see? What did you see?”
—“I see a cloud about the size of a man’s hand.”
Elijah tells the servant:
—“Tell the king to go, because there is a sound of abundance of rain, so that it doesn’t stop him on his way back.”
And then Elijah was caught away by the Spirit of God and ran before King Ahab, the king was on his chariot; and from what we can tell, Elijah was running on foot.4
Elijah left towards Beersheba, and that was where he had the experience of the coming of the Angel of the Lord, who fed him. He touched him, because Elijah was sleeping under a juniper tree wishing to die. He touched him, gave him a cake, a cake baked on the coals, a cruse of water, and he ate and drank, and went back to sleep.
“And the angel of the Lord came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.”
I am reading in First Kings chapter 19, verse 8 now:
“And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.”
The mount of God, Horeb, where God had given the two tables of the Law with the ten commandments to the Prophet Moses.
And the mountain of God has God’s Presence those days, and God commands him to come before the Presence of God; because he had slept all night in a cave. And God speaks to him, He commands him to present himself before God on that same mountain where he was, and He starts to talk to him. A strong wind passes that rent the mountains and broke in pieces the rocks before the Lord…:
“…but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the Lord was not in the earthquake:
Here on the mountain of God, Mount Horeb or Mount Sinai, God sends him to anoint two kings and a prophet, and He reveals to him that he has seven thousand faithful who have not bowed to Baal.
We find Elijah in his first manifestation of the Spirit of God through the Prophet Elijah on the mountain of God. Then, the second manifestation of Elijah’s ministry was in Elisha, with a double portion. The third manifestation of Elijah’s ministry was in John the Baptist, forerunner of the first Coming of Christ. The fourth manifestation of Elijah’s ministry was in Rev. William Branham, in the midst of Christianity, which is the One that contains the mystical Body of Christ, which is God’s Temple of the New Covenant, where praises, sacrifices of praises to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, are offered.
We always find Elijah in the House of God. In John the Baptist we find him in the House of God, the House of Israel, the Hebrew House; and Elisha, too; because we find that Jerusalem is the Throne of God. Therefore, the people of Israel as a people are a spiritual Temple where… we also find a temple built by Solomon with God’s Presence dwelling in the most holy place.
After entering, passing through, the whole area of the temple, it reached the most holy place, the ark of the covenant, which contained the tables of the Law, Aaron’s rod that budded, and the Manna in a golden pot. We find God’s Presence there in the most important part: the most holy place of that Temple; likewise, it was also in the top part of Mount Sinai, a place of God’s Presence, out of which lightnings, voices, and thunders came forth, and there were also angels’ voices there.5
Then we find it in the temple Solomon built, just as He was also in the tabernacle Moses had built; because that is the part for God to dwell in the temple, which is God’s Temple for its time, for that age or dispensation.
Then, after seeing it in Elijah the Tishbite, in Elisha with a double portion, in John the Baptist as the forerunner of the first Coming of Christ, in Rev. William Branham in the Temple of the New Covenant, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, forerunning the Second Coming of Christ; then we will find it in the Temple (that ministry manifested for the fifth time), in the spiritual Temple, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the part that was represented in the most holy place of the temple, which represented the place that the Church would reach at the end time and where the presence of Elijah’s ministry for the fifth time would be seen; where, in the vision Christ showed His disciples in chapter 17 of Saint Matthew, on Mount Transfiguration, He showed them His Coming with His Angels. And His Angels there are the Messengers, the Prophets Moses and Elijah, who were talking with Jesus about His departure to Jerusalem and His death in Jerusalem.
That is the Order for the Coming of the Messiah, the Coming of the Lord at this end time in the House of God, on the Mountain of God; for Saint Paul says, referring to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, in chapter 12 of Hebrews… Chapter 12 of Hebrews, verse 18 and on:
“For ye are not come unto the mount that might be touched, and that burned with fire, nor unto blackness, and darkness, and tempest,
And the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which voice they that heard intreated that the word should not be spoken to them any more:
(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:
And so terrible was the sight, that Moses said, I exceedingly fear and quake:)
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven…”
Who are the firstborn which are written in Heaven? The members of the mystical Body of Christ, the members of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, which are the believers in Christ who are born again in the Kingdom of God. It is a Kingdom in the spiritual realm.
“…To God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”
We have come to all of this, and all of this is the House of God, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the spiritual Temple of God. And then it says:
“See that ye refuse not him that speaketh.”
Who is the one that speaks? It is God through His Spirit. Christ through His Spirit speaks to His Church through the different messengers throughout the different stages or ages.
That is why the stage where Elijah saw and heard a strong wind pass before him, represents the Lutheran Age in the House of God. Then he saw an earthquake, “but the Lord was not in the earthquake;” that typifies the Wesleyan Age, the age that already passed. Then after the earthquake a fire, “but the Lord was not in the fire;” that was the Pentecostal stage or age, represented in the age or church of Laodicea in Asia Minor.
“And after the fire a still small voice.
And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah?”
What was Elijah doing there, on the mountain of God? That mountain belongs to Egypt, and notice, Elijah was on that mountain; it was a mountain of Gentile people.
And now, what was he doing there? He was in the House of God, the mountain of God; and now he had to come before God, before the Presence of God, he had to go to the part—come out of the cave and put himself in God’s Presence.
“What doest thou here, Elijah?” He asks him. Elijah said to Him:
“I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away.” (In other words, he went fleeing to the Mountain of God.)
There has always been a persecution against the ministry of Elijah, since the time of Elijah the Tishbite, Elisha, John the Baptist, Rev. William Branham, and there will also be against the fifth Elijah.
The moment of the transfiguration of Christ, when He took His three disciples (Peter, James, and John) to a high mountain, that was the prophetic vision of the Coming of Christ with His Angels, where those ministries of Moses and Elijah, of the Two Olive Trees of Zechariah chapter 4, verse 1 to 14, and Revelation chapter 11, verse 3 and on, are the ministries of Moses and Elijah in the Coming of the Lord.
Because God has preserved a group of people then and now who have not bowed to Baal. Back then they were seven thousand, now they are one hundred forty-four thousand of the twelve tribes of Israel who will see Elijah in his fifth manifestation and say: “This is whom and this is what we are seeking.”
When you see the Jews approaching the House of God, the spiritual Temple of Christ, to hear, they will see and hear Elijah in his fifth ministerial manifestation. And that is when Israel connects with the fifth ministry of the Prophet Elijah; and then they will see Moses. Therefore, what they will see shall be a prophet like Moses. And that is the Messianic promise: a prophet like Moses coming to the Hebrew people.
And before the Jews see Elijah on the Mountain of God, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ will be seeing the manifestation of what was seen on Mount Transfiguration; and what the ministry of Moses and Elijah is to Israel, and what Moses and Elijah are to Israel, that will be the Coming of the Lord to His Church. As simple as that. And all of that on the Mountain of God, which under the New Covenant, is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
That is why since the days of the apostles, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has been waiting for the materialization of the vision of Mount Transfiguration; they have been waiting for the Coming of the Lord with His Angels.
The ministries of Moses and Elijah, of the Two Olive Trees, are the ministry of the Angels at the end time; those are the Angels that will be in charge of the harvest, and they will put the harvest in the Kingdom of God: the wheat in the Kingdom of God, from the parable of the wheat and tares of chapter 13, verses 30 to 43 of Saint Matthew, and also chapter 13, verses 47 to 50, regarding the Angels who draw the net—they cast the net, and then when it is full, they draw it out, they gathered the good into vessels and cast the bad away. That is how it will be at the end of the world.
The Angels, which are the ministries of Moses and Elijah, have a lot of work to do at this end time. Therefore, it is important to be alert, because there are great promises of blessings for the members of the Mountain of God, the members of the mystical Body of Christ, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And let’s continue in chapter 12 of Hebrews, where it says [verse 25]:
“See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven.”
The One who speaks from Heaven is Christ in Holy Spirit in the midst of His Church from age to age, from stage to stage, speaking to each messenger and speaking through the messengers to the people. It says:
“Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more…” (in other words, one more time: yet once more).
Remember that back then on Mount Sinai, Sinai shook.
“…but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.
And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
For our God is a consuming fire.”
And now we have seen that there is a great blessing for the Mountain of God of the New Covenant, for the Mountain of God, which is the Church, the Temple of God, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is that blessing manifested in the end time according to the vision of Mount Transfiguration.
The Angels that will appear at this end time are the ministries of Moses and Elijah, the ministries of the Two Olive Trees, to carry out the harvest of the wheat, the gathering of the children of God, to give them the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the One with the great blessing. They have the blessing, the promise to be gathered with a Great Voice of Trumpet and prepared to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
This is what it speaks to us about in First Corinthians chapter 15, verses 49 to 58. It says: “At the Last Trump; for the Trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall be raised first, and then we who are alive shall be changed.” And in First Thessalonians chapter 4, verse 12 and on. And in Philippians chapter 3, verses 20 to 21, where it tells us:
“For our conversation is in heaven…” [The Bible in Spanish reads: “For our citizenship is in Heaven.”—Translator]
Why do we have heavenly citizenship? Because whoever is born in a country, in a nation, has the citizenship of that nation. And just as we have earthly citizenship of the nation where we have been physically born, we have heavenly citizenship, because the new birth is from Heaven and makes the person a heavenly citizen.
“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body…”
See? The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the heavenly citizens, have the promise of the Coming of the Lord, to be physically changed.
“…from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.”
With that power He has to subdue all things unto Himself, He will change us and take us with Him to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
In Colossians also, chapter 1 tells us… Colossians chapter 1, verse 13, says (referring to Christ):
“…who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.”
We have been translated—delivered from the kingdom of darkness and translated to the Kingdom of His dear Son, of Jesus Christ. That is why Christ is the King, and He is the Commander-in-Chief of that Kingdom, of the Kingdom of God, to which He has taken us through the new birth.
Because when we were born on Earth, we were physically born in the kingdom of darkness; when we are born again, we are born in the heavenly Kingdom, in the Kingdom of Light, the Kingdom of Christ, the Kingdom of God, in the House of God, on the Mountain of God.
The Mountain of God is the One with the great promises for this time. Therefore, we thank God for Jesus Christ, and for the blessing of being in His Kingdom, in the Kingdom of God, with Eternal Life.
When Elijah the Tishbite left in a chariot of fire, the sons of the prophets looked for Elijah and they couldn’t find him,6 but the ministry of Elijah was with them: in Elisha.
In the trajectory of Elijah’s ministry, it went from Elijah to the successor of Elijah the Tishbite: Elisha, with a double portion. Then, in the trajectory of Elijah, we find the ministry of Elijah in John the Baptist, forerunning the Coming of the Lord. Then, in the trajectory of the ministry of Elijah, we find it in the midst of Christianity in the seventh age of the Gentile Church, forerunning the second Coming of Christ.
And it is important to locate where the ministry of Elijah is at this end time in the House of God; because it is a ministry that has to be in the House of God; it is one of the ministries of the Two Olive Trees.
Therefore, it is important to have our spiritual eyes wide open in order to locate the fifth ministry of Elijah and the second ministry of Moses in the Coming of the Lord; because the promise is that God will raise up a prophet like Moses from among the people.7
So, let’s be attentive, alert, because the scene of Mount Transfiguration will become a reality in the Temple of God, the House of God, the Mountain of God, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and there will be a manifestation in all His fullness, where the Pillar of Fire was seen moving in a Great Tent Cathedral.
Therefore, we can see that the Third Pull of that great manifestation of God in the midst of Christianity will be on the Mountain of God, in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, in a Great Tent Cathedral. As simple as that.
Don’t look for the ministry of Elijah, of Moses, and of the Lord, [anywhere] but in the House of God, which has the promise of the Coming of the Lord with His Angels: the ministries of Moses and Elijah.
“ELIJAH ON THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD.”
May God open our eyes, open the Scriptures to us, and open our understanding so that we can see in this end time, in the Coming of the Lord, see what the disciples saw on Mount Transfiguration: Elijah (that is, the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time); Moses (the ministry of Moses for the second time); and Jesus (in the last manifestation of the Third Pull).
“ELIJAH ON THE MOUNTAIN OF GOD,” which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, where everything Elijah saw there will have its present-day fulfillment, and also where Moses was present, seeing and hearing the manifestation of God, and writing the Laws on two tables of stone.
May God allow us at this time to see the Mountain of God, to know which is the Mountain of God and see God manifested on that Mountain speaking to the people; and then, to see Him calling and gathering the elect of the Hebrew people, which are one hundred forty-four thousand, twelve thousand from each tribe; because there will be a restoration of the Kingdom of David, for which the two sticks…. The stick of Joseph in the hand of Ephraim (who is the one with the Birthright blessings, which Jacob bestowed the day that he blessed Ephraim and Manasseh) and the stick of Judah, the stick of command, of the prince, in the hand of Judah.
Those two sticks were divided into two kingdoms in the time of Solomon’s son because of Solomon’s sins.8 And at this end time, those two scepters will be joined together, those two sticks of command, of princes, for the restoration of David’s Kingdom and David’s Throne for the glorious Millennial Kingdom, where the nations that will be saved, that will not be destroyed during the great tribulation, go all the way to Jerusalem to offer worship to God and take their offerings and tithes there, to the capital of the Kingdom of the Messiah, which is the Kingdom of David restored.
Therefore, let’s be prepared because we are at the end time, where these things must happen. And everything we will see is God on His holy Mountain, His Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is where we will see Elijah in his fifth ministerial manifestation or the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time, and the ministry of Moses for the second time, and the ministry of Jesus for the second time, or third time. All on the Mountain of God. All on the Mountain of God, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
May the blessings of Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, be upon all of you, and may He accompany us all the days of our lives; and soon may we all be changed and taken with Him to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
Continue having a joyful evening filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior.
