Who is the Son of Man for this Day?

Good morning, kind brethren and friends present, and those who are in different countries, ministers and churches, worshiping God and listening to His Word.

For this occasion, let’s read in Saint Matthew chapter 16, verses 13 to 20, and it tells us:

When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?

And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ.”

May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. And may He allow us to have the revelation of the Divine promise of the Coming of the Son of Man at the Last Day. When we see that promise being fulfilled, may we all recognize it; because that is where the blessing comes for the believers of Christ of the Last Day. That is what will bring us the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, may God open the Scriptures to us and our heart and mind to understand, and our heart to believe. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

WHO IS THE SON OF MAN FOR THIS DAY (AT THIS END TIME)?”

Why the question: Who is the Son of Man for this Day? Because Christ said that the Son of Man will come at the end time; and we all want to be like Peter: recognizing Him in His Coming.

The opinion there was in the days of Jesus about who the Son of Man, Christ, had been, was that Jesus was John the Baptist who had risen from the dead, and for that reason those miracles worked in Him and through Him; others thought that He was the prophet Elijah, and others thought that He was the prophet Jeremiah, and others said or thought that He was one of the prophets, one of the prophets who had resurrected from the dead.

Let’s remember that at that time, Israel, the Hebrew people, the Jews, were waiting for the Coming of the Messiah; and the Messiah would be a descendant of King David,1 the Messiah would be a prophet like Moses; He wouldn’t literally be the prophet Moses, but a prophet like Moses.2

That is why when they ask John the Baptist: “Are you Elijah?” he says that he isn’t Elijah;3 even though it was the ministry of Elijah operating in John the Baptist, but he wasn’t the Elijah who would come forerunning the Second Coming of Christ at the end time. He was the messenger who would come preparing the way for the Lord, according to Malachi chapter 3, which tells us: “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me.”

That is what was said regarding that time in which the Messiah would come in fulfillment of the First Coming of the Messiah

[Malachi 3:1] “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.”

Who would come? The Messenger or Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, who gave the Hebrew people the Law on Mount Sinai; because that is the Angel of the Lord, the Angel of God, who establishes the Covenant with the Hebrew people. And then He would come to establish the New Covenant that was promised in Jeremiah chapter 31, verses 31 to 36.

That is the reason why Jesus, at the last supper, being with His disciples, in Saint Matthew chapter 26, verses 26 and on, says:

And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.”

In other words, He is typifying, representing His body in the bread; because just like bread is food for the body, Christ is the living Bread which came down from Heaven to give Life, Eternal Life to the human being.4 He is the Bread for our soul, the Food for our soul.

And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”

And now, in the wine He typifies His Blood, which would be shed for the remission of sins. It was shed for many, for the remission of sins. And every person has the opportunity to be cleansed from all sin with the Blood of Christ by receiving Him as his only and sufficient Savior. Otherwise, the Blood of Christ is not effective for the person, to cleanse him from all sin.

It’s like if you have a garment with an ink stain on it and you have a bottle of bleach or chlorine (as it is called); that bottle of bleach doesn’t remove the stain from clothes, unless you apply the bleach; until you apply it, the garment…, the ink stain will remain on it.

And until the person applies the Blood of Christ, by receiving Him as Savior, sin will remain in the person; and the wages of sin is death,5 death for all eternity.

Therefore, God has given us Christ and His Sacrifice to, in His mercy, cleanse us from all sin and give us Eternal Life.

Eternal Life is what we receive from Christ when we receive Him as our only and sufficient Savior, because we are receiving Eternal Life. Remember that Christ said: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.”

No one can reach God except through Jesus Christ. Some people think that all paths lead to God, but Christ says that He is the Way; therefore, don’t look for another way to God.

He is the Life, Eternal Life; and therefore, He has the exclusivity of Eternal Life and grants it to those who receive Him as their only and sufficient Savior. Saint John chapter 14, verse 6, is the passage I quoted to you, where He says: “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; and no man comes unto the Father, but by Me.”

And Saint John chapter 10, verses 27 to 30, says: “My sheep hear My Voice, and they follow Me, and I know them, and I give unto them Eternal Life; and they shall never perish. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all, and no man can pluck them out of My Father’s hand.”

In other words, every person who will receive salvation and Eternal Life, those are the Father’s sheep, which are given to Christ for Him to seek them and give them Eternal Life. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost,” Christ says in Saint Matthew chapter 18, and Saint Luke chapter 19. In other words, Christ comes to seek and to save whom? Me. And whom else? Each one of you as well.

With the human being’s fall in the garden of Eden, all those sheep of the Father were lost, they lost Eternal Life; and that is why we live on this Earth for a season, and the life of these earthly bodies ends at around 100 years old; once we reach 100 years old, living in the earthly body takes a lot of effort.

This is because the rays of light once a person is born, the rays of light that the physical body has, already start to fade; there are four rays of light and they start to fade every certain number of years. Let’s say, from the age of 25 to 30 the first ray of light fades, and the person is left with three; after the age of 35 and on the second ray of light fades, and he is left with two rays of light; and after a certain number of years the third ray of light fades, and he is left with only one ray of light; that is why he already feels weak, he can’t strive the way he used to when he was 18 to 25 years old. Such is the earthly life.

But it doesn’t matter how many years you live on Earth, it doesn’t benefit you if you don’t understand that you live on this Earth for a Divine purpose, in which you can obtain Eternal Life through Christ our Savior, by receiving Him as your only and sufficient Savior.

And thus, Christ saves you from the lake of fire, Christ saves you from the annihilation that happens in the lake of fire, in those who are cast into the lake of fire after the Millennial Kingdom and after Judgment Day. And that truly is a serious matter.

And if this earthly life in these mortal and temporary bodies is so good, what will it be like to live in an eternal, immortal, incorruptible and young body for all eternity? That is what every person’s soul has always desired. Because in these bodies we have many struggles and problems, and in the end they die: either because of age, an illness, or an accident.

If life were only about living for a certain amount of time here on Earth and then everything is over for the human being, it wouldn’t be worth it to live on this Earth; but the purpose is for us to hear the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, for the faith of Christ to be born in our soul… because “faith comes by hearing the Word,”6 the Gospel.

Remember that Christ said: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”7 The reality for every human being is as clear as that.

The person can only do one of two things: either believe or not believe. Believe and confirm his place with Christ in His Kingdom to live eternally, or not believe to later be judged and condemned on Judgment Day, and be cast into the lake of fire, where he will be completely annihilated: in soul, spirit, and body, and he will cease to exist.

And we all want to live eternally; and we all want to find out, to know the formula to live eternally. The formula has a Name: Lord Jesus Christ.

“He that hears My Word, and believes in Him that sent Me, has Everlasting Life; and he shall never perish.” He will not be judged and condemned, rather, he will live eternally. (Saint John chapter 5, verse 24.)

Therefore, the most important thing for every human being is Eternal Life; and we can only receive it through Jesus Christ.

[First John 5:11] “God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son,” (in Jesus Christ).

He that hath the Son,” (Jesus Christ) “hath life,” (Eternal Life); “and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”

What he has is a temporary life that will end, and the person doesn’t even know when his life on this Earth will end; and then he will no longer have the opportunity to say: “Now I want to receive Christ.”

The time to receive Christ as Savior is while the person is living on this Earth. That is why the Gospel of Christ is preached, so that the faith of Christ is born in the heart of the listeners.

Remember that Christ said in Saint John chapter 8, verse 47: “He that is of God hears God’s Voice.” He that is of God. He that is of God is written in Heaven, in the Lamb’s Book of Life, before the foundation of the world.

In other words, God has known us since before we were born on this Earth. Those are the sheep of the Father that have been given to Christ for Him to seek them and give them Eternal Life; and they will never perish.

Therefore, we are on this Earth because of and for a Divine purpose, and our names are written in Heaven, in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and that is why we respond to the call of Christ, the Gospel of Christ, by hearing His Voice and receiving Him as our only and sufficient Savior.

And now, what does all this have to do with the Son of Man? And who is the Son of Man at the Last Day? It is because those are the people who will recognize Him, who will receive Him at the Last Day; because He comes as a thief in the night.8 In other words, the ones who will recognize Him and welcome Him, will be the Father’s sheep, God’s elect, those who form the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christ Himself said in Saint Matthew chapter 16, verses 24 and on:

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.”

In other words, Christ doesn’t offer you an easy journey. Just as Christ suffered on this Earth, was persecuted, misinterpreted and judged, condemned, and crucified, the believers in Christ will also go through, will suffer persecutions, and they will be misunderstood. There was a time when they would throw them to the lions and also a time when they would burn them alive. Those are different stages that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ goes through.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

What good is it for a human being to be a multimillionaire financially on Earth, or to have a social, academic, or professional position on Earth, and lose his soul?

Remember that the human being is a living soul, that is what the person is: a living soul; and he lives in a spiritual body called a spirit, and in a body of flesh in which we appear on this Earth.

But when it comes to Eternal Life, to our eternal future, that is tied to the person’s soul, which is what we actually are: living souls. That is why it says: “What is a man profited, if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Can man pay for the salvation of his soul? No. Christ already paid for our salvation with His own life.

You and I don’t have any way to pay for our salvation; Christ already paid for it and we accept that Sacrifice of Christ as the payment for our salvation; because He took our sins and became sin for us, and died the death we had to die.

And now, the sacrifices that the Hebrew people carried out in the temple with animals aren’t required anymore, because those sacrifices were only the type and figure of the Sacrifice of Christ our Savior on Calvary’s Cross. Until Christ came and carried out the Sacrifice of Atonement on the Cross, those sacrifices had to be carried out; but once Christ died on Calvary’s Cross, God no longer accepts animal sacrifices; the Sacrifice of Christ on Calvary’s Cross is the only thing God accepts for each and every human being.

“Who is the Son of Man?” Jesus Christ asks Peter and His disciples. Peter tells Him: “You. You are the Christ (in other words, the Anointed One, the Messiah, the Christ), the Son of God, the Son of the living God.”

The Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Covenant, was dwelling in Jesus; that is why He says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me,” and He begins to list the things for which He had been anointed, reading Isaiah chapter 61, reading them there in chapter 4 of Saint Luke; and He stopped. Because the full passage says: “… to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” And He stopped there. If He continued reading, it would say: “… and the day of vengeance of our God.”

Why didn’t He continue? Because He read up to the point that would be fulfilled in Him, in His First Coming. The part about proclaiming, preaching the year – the day of vengeance of our God, pertains to His Second Coming.

In the Coming of the Son of Man at the Last Day is when He will preach the day of vengeance of our God; in other words, the Divine Judgments that will fall upon the human race: the Plagues, the Vials that will be poured out upon all the nations, and therefore, upon all mankind; which will be fulfilled in the Great Tribulation, which is the second part of the seventieth week, and which consists of three and a half years, from the prophecy of Daniel chapter 9.

God will also deal with the Hebrew people again, and He will do so by manifesting the ministries of Elijah for the fifth time and of Moses for the third time. And all of that is tied to the Coming of the Son of Man with His angels.

His Angels are the ministries of the Two Olive Trees, the ministries of Moses and Elijah. That is why in Zechariah chapter 4, verses 11 to 14, and in Revelation chapter 11, verses 1 to 14, it tells us about the Two Olive Trees, which are the ministries of Moses and Elijah, which will be manifested at the Last Day.

That is why the Son of Man, Christ says in Saint Matthew chapter 24, verse 30 to 31, He says:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

The elect there are 144,000 Hebrews, 12,000 from each tribe, which will be called at this end time. Those are God’s elect from the Hebrew people; and God’s elect from the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ are the believers in Christ of the Last Day, who will be waiting for the Coming of the Son of Man and will receive Him.

When the Son of Man is mentioned, we find that it is the title of a prophet. That is why Christ would say, speaking of Himself: “The Son of Man,” referring to Himself, because He was a prophet.

When the Pharisees asked John the Baptist: “Are you Elijah?” He said: “No.”

—“Are you the prophet?” He said: “No.”

When they ask him if he is the prophet, they are referring to the prophet who Moses spoke of: that God would raise up a prophet like Moses, a dispensational prophet, who would be the Messiah. And John says no. When they ask him: “Are you the prophet?” He says: “No;” yet he was a prophet, but not the prophet of Deuteronomy chapter 18, verses 15 to 19. Because that prophet is the Messiah, the Anointed One, the Christ, the Son of God, the Son of Man; the Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Covenant, in a body of flesh, in a man, a prophet; because the Son of Man is a prophet.

That is why when the Messiah came He had to come as a prophet: as Son of Man; in whom was the Son of God, Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, the Holy Spirit. As simple as that.

That is why God calls His prophets in different places in the Bible—Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel and so forth—He calls them Son of Man, because it is the title of a prophet.

And now let’s see what it tells us in Saint Matthew chapter 24, verse 27:

For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

So shall the Coming of the Son of Man be at the end time.

The manifestation of the Son of Man two thousand years ago was in the East, the land of Israel, which belongs to the Middle East. And for the West, the continent of the Americas, we have the promise of the manifestation of the Son of Man.

We already had the first part of that manifestation pertaining to the end time in Rev. William Branham. It was the Son of God, Christ, in a prophet, in a Son of Man. Christ, the Son of Man, in a Son of Man, a prophet, to fulfill the first part of that promise pertaining to the end time.

And there is one part left, which will be fulfilled at this end time. That is why in Saint Matthew chapter 24… verses 36 and on, of Saint Matthew 24, it says:

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only,” (in other words, of the time, of the day and hour when the Son of Man will come).

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

Meaning that mankind will be living like in the time of Noah: when every thought of the human being’s heart was continually evil; and so shall it be in the time in which mankind will be living at the Last Day.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”

In other words, mankind at the time of the antediluvian world didn’t understand, they didn’t understand the time in which they were living; they didn’t understand that they were living at the end of that antediluvian generation.

Mankind is currently living at the end time of the current generation. How much time do we have left? We don’t know; but the promise is that this time will be the Divine cycle in which the Son of Man will manifest Himself, will reveal Himself. He will manifest Himself, reveal Himself, to whom? To the believers in Christ, as it happened two thousand years ago.

To whom did the Son of Man come? To whom did He reveal Himself? In the midst of whom did the Son of Man manifest Himself two thousand years ago in His First Coming? The Hebrew people, which are the people who were in the Covenant that was given to Israel on Mount Sinai; they were the Covenant people of the Old Testament, Old Covenant; and they had Him in human flesh: the Coming of the Son of Man, the Angel of the Covenant, in a veil of flesh called Jesus. As simple as that.

Israel already had the fulfillment of the promise of the Messiah for that time; and now the people under the New Covenant is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Christianity is the people with the promise of the Second Coming of Christ, of the Coming of the Son of Man with His Angels, with the ministries of Moses for the third time, and the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time, and the ministry of Jesus for the second time in all His fullness.

That is what was shown on Mount Transfiguration, in chapter 17 of Saint Matthew, when Christ took Peter, James and John his brother, and brought them up into a high mountain apart, and He was transfigured before them; and Moses and Elijah appeared, each one on either side of the Lord.

That is the order of the Second Coming of Christ, that is the order of the Coming of the Son of Man at the Last Day. The ministries of Jesus, Elijah, and Moses will be repeating in the midst of the Church, and then in the midst of the Hebrew people; that’s how the Coming of the Son of Man will be.

Now notice that when Christ comes down Mount Sinai… – or Mount Transfiguration (correction), He tells His disciples not to say that He is the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One.

Some people sometimes think: “If He is the Christ, the Messiah, they had to tell everyone;” but Christ tells them: “Keep silent.”

So, it is very important to know these things so that we are prepared for the Coming of the Son of Man at the Last Day, which is the promise that is appointed and is the greatest promise from God for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Notice, it also tells us:

[Matthew 24:44] “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh,” (in other words, we must be prepared for the Coming of the Son of Man).

In Saint Luke, Christ also speaks to us about the Coming of the Son of Man.

Remember that this is the greatest event that will take place in the midst of the human race at the end time, at the Last Day; that is why you find Christ always speaking about the Son of Man and about the Coming of the Son of Man.

For example, here in Saint Luke chapter 17, verse 28… and we can even read a little before that; verse 26 and on, says: “And as it was…”. Verse 24 and on, says:

For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.

And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.

They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.

Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;

But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.

Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.”

And we all have to acknowledge that mankind, all the nations are like in the days of Noah and like in the days of Lot, like in the days of Sodom and Gomorrah; that is the current state of mankind, which is a sign that we are living in the time when the Son of Man will be manifested.

Now, at this end time He will change from High Priest to Judge, from Lamb to King, from Lamb to Lion of the tribe of Judah, to King of kings and Lord of lords, in His Claiming Work.

Therefore, we must be alert, aware of what are the promises, the prophecies pertaining to this end time, so that we are not trying to guess what God is going to do, what God is going to fulfill at this end time.

What God is going to do is what is prophesied, what is promised in the Scripture, what Christ has promised to be done at this end time, what the prophets have said that God will do at this end time. He will not do anything other than what is prophesied, what is promised for the Last Day.

May God help us all to be prepared for the Coming of the Son of Man at this end time, which is the Last Day; and we don’t know what day, week, or month, or year, these prophecies will be fulfilled; but the order of Christ is that we be prepared.

Saint Luke chapter 18, verse 8, says:

I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

Will the Son of Man in His Coming find faith in you and in me? Remember: “But without faith it is impossible to please him.”9

It also tells us in chapter 21 of Saint Luke, verse 27 and on, it says:

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”

Which is your redemption? The redemption of the body, which is the transformation of the living in Christ, in order to have eternal, immortal, and glorified and young bodies, like the glorified body that Jesus Christ has; and the dead in Christ will rise in glorified bodies.

Christ goes on to say, starting from verse 34 and on, of this same 21st chapter:

And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”

To stand before whom? The Son of Man. Therefore, we must be watchful and praying always, preparing ourselves for the Coming of the Son of Man, to stand before the Son of Man.

We don’t want what happened in the First Coming of Christ to happen to us, where very few people recognized Him as the promised Messiah, the Son of Man coming to His people Israel.

And now, His Second Coming is for His people, His Church, the believers in Christ, Christianity; because Christianity is the One under the New Covenant. Therefore, let’s be prepared.

May everyone continue having a happy evening, filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior.
