Good evening, fellow ministers in the mystical Body of Jesus Christ. It is a great blessing for me to be with you on this occasion, to share with you some moments of fellowship with you around the Word of God.
Greetings to Missionary Rev. Miguel Bermúdez Marín, and to all those who are there in Guatemala with him, all the ministers present there; may God bless you greatly.
For this occasion, we will have a reading in Isaiah, chapter 45, verse 1 to 4, it says:
“Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;
I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:
And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.
For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.”
“THUS SAITH THE LORD TO HIS ANOINTED.” That is our subject for this occasion.
Speaking to us about King Cyrus, Reverend Scofield says:
«(45:1) Anointed
The only instance where the word is applied to a Gentile. Nebuchadnezzar is called the “servant” of Jehovah (Jeremiah 25:9; 27:6; 43:10).»
It goes on to say:
«This, with the designation “My shepherd” (Isaiah 44:28) also a Messianic title, marks Cyrus as that startling exception, a Gentile type of Christ. The points are:
(1) both are irresistible conquerors of Israel’s enemies. (Isaiah 45:1; Revelation 19:19-21);
(2) both are restorers of the holy city (Isaiah 44:28; Zechariah 14:1-11);
(3) through both is the name of the one true God glorified (Isaiah 45:6; 1 Corinthians 15:28.)»
This king called Cyrus, and called “God’s anointed,” is a type and figure of Christ; he reflected Christ and everything that will happen in the Second Coming of Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords.
As for the First Coming of Christ, what was reflected in Cyrus was fulfilled in the spiritual field, for Christ conquered the kingdom of darkness.
But now, since it tells us here about what He will do, this has a double fulfillment:
• Spiritually, which has already fulfilled with the First Coming of Christ and His Work of Redemption: Christ conquered the kingdom of darkness, He conquered the devil, He defeated him.
• But now this will be fulfilled literally: the Second Coming of Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords, where Christ will conquer the kingdom of darkness, which is the kingdom of the antichrist, the kingdom of the Gentiles, which is in the stage of the feet of iron and clay, according to Daniel, chapter 2, verses 30 to 45.
In Revelation, chapter 11, verses 15 and on, after the Seventh Trumpet is sounded… and the One who sounds that Seventh Trumpet is the Holy Spirit, manifesting the ministries of the Two Anointed Ones. There we have the Two Anointed Ones.
And now, Cyrus typifies Christ, the Son of Man coming with His Angels. And now, at the end time this will be fulfilled, and then we will have the reality of what was typified in Cyrus.
Now, let’s look at Revelation, chapter 2, and also chapter 19, and chapter 17. Let’s read chapter 17, verses 11 to 15, it says:
“And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.
And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”
There we have Christ face to face with the antichrist, for the antichrist will try to destroy the Lamb and those who are with the Lamb, which is the true Church of Jesus Christ; and this is so at the end time, to be fulfilled at this time in which we are living.
Revelation, chapter 19, verses 11 to 16, says:
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”.
Here it tells us that the One who comes on the white horse, the One who rides that white horse, is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. It speaks to us about a judgment and about a war, a battle.
“His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself”.
Therefore, this white-horse Rider, which is Christ, comes with a Name that people don’t know; it is a New Name, it is a Name that has to do with His title of King. It says:
“… that no man knew, but he himself”
He is the only One who will know the Name with which He will come as the white-horse Rider of Revelation 19.
“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”
The Word, the Logos, which is Christ, the Angel of the Covenant; the Angel who appeared to Moses and delivered the Hebrew people through Moses; the Word, which was with God, and was made flesh and dwelt among the human race, among the Hebrew people.
“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” (Saint John, chapter 1, verse 14).
Two thousand years ago the Word was made flesh, made man, clothed in human flesh, and was known by the name of Jesus, which in Hebrew is Yeshua.
And now, we have the promise that the Word, the Angel of the Covenant, will return.
Verse 14 goes on to say [Revelation 19]:
“And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
There we have the Word coming at the Last Day in the power of the Divine Word.
And now, it says that He has a sharp sword that comes out of His mouth, with which He will smite all the nations; and He shall rule them, govern them, with a rod of iron.
Therefore, we can see the Lord’s Anointed One at the Last Day in the Coming of the Word, who will be in the midst of His people; and the antichrist will rise against Him. It says:
“… and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
Therefore, by the Word coming, God will bring the Divine judgment: He will judge the nations and bring the apocalyptic plagues upon the nations. That is the wrath of the Almighty God, which will be poured out during the great tribulation.
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”
Therefore, He will come as King of kings and Lord of lords, and thus He will have the Name with which He will reign.
When the Word was made flesh two thousand years ago, He had a name: Jesús in Spanish, which is Yeshua in Hebrew; that name means ‘Savior,’ ‘Redeemer,’ it had to do with the Work that He would carry out.
And now, for His Second Coming, He will have a New Name, which will have to do with the Work that He will do as King of kings and Lord of lords, It will have to do with the Work that He will do in His Kingdom, the Kingdom that He will establish on this planet Earth; because the kingdoms of this world will become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ, of His Anointed One, of the Lord’s Anointed One.1
And now, we are seeing that something great must take place at this end time.
It goes on to say in verse 19, of this same 19th chapter of Revelation:
“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.”
Therefore, there will be a showdown, just as there was in the time of Moses with Pharaoh and Pharaoh’s army;2 and also as there was in the time of the prophet Elijah against King Ahab and against the priests of [Baal] and the groves.3
Now let’s see what the outcome will be. The same 19th chapter, verse 20 to 21, says [Revelation]:
“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”
There we can see what is prophesied to take place at this end time when the Lord’s Anointed One appears; for thus saith the Lord.
And what was manifested in King Cyrus is the type and figure of what will be happening at this end time; and King Cyrus typifies Christ in His Second Coming as King of kings and Lord of lords. For that reason, in Psalm 2, verse 1 and on, it says:
“Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed…”
And here we can see that this had its fulfillment two thousand years ago. But at this end time it will have its physical fulfillment, where the kings, the ten kings who will give their power and authority to the beast, will counsel together against God, against the Lord, and against His Anointed One; the Anointed One, who will be like Cyrus, that is, he is typified in Cyrus.
“… saying,
Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”
In other words, He will speak to those nations the judgment, the plagues that will come upon them; and God’s wrath will be poured out upon those nations.
“Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.”
And now, God says that He has placed His King upon Zion, His holy Hill, that is, Jerusalem. There is the literal Jerusalem in the land of Israel, and there is the spiritual Jerusalem, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; there is the heavenly Jerusalem, which is the City of God in Heaven, which all of God’s redeemed belong to.
“I will declare the decree…”
And now, someone will be tasked with declaring the Divine decree.
“… the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son…”
Therefore, this Son of God, the Anointed One of God, will declare the Divine decree. It goes on to say:
“… this day have I begotten thee.
Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance…”
Here we have the promise that all nations will become the nations of our God and of His Anointed One.
“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron…”
The same thing that Revelation 19, verses 11 to 21 says.
“… thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.”
In Daniel, chapter 2, verses 30 to 45, the stone cut out without hands smote the image upon its feet of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces. It is the same thing that is promised here.
“Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice…”
In this version, it says: “Serve Jehovah with fear.”
“… and rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way.”
Honor God’s Anointed One: “Kiss the Son.” There we have the Son that the Scripture speaks of.
“Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”
And now we have a clear picture here of the Divine Program pertaining to this end time.
And nearly to conclude, we will see here that the Hebrew people are waiting for these things.
In Revelation, chapter 11, verse 3 and on; and also in Zechariah, chapter 4, verses 11 to 14, it says:
“Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.”
And there we have the Two Anointed Ones, the Two Olive Trees: the two olive branches. And in Revelation, chapter 11, it speaks to us about the same thing; and it tells us: chapter 11, verses 3 to 4:
“And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.”
Here we have the Two Witnesses, that is, the Two Olive Trees, to prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days [1,260]. And now, here we are seeing the Two Olive Trees, which are the Two Anointed Ones that stand before the God of all the Earth.
And now, let’s continue so that we can see something very important here, since the Two Olive Trees are the ministries of Moses and Elijah; and now, let’s see what Israel is waiting for. In the book “The Religion of Israel,” page 73, it says:
“When the time comes for the reign of the Israelite faith, God will send his prophet Elijah who will ‘unite the hearts of the fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers,’ and thus proclaim everlasting universal peace. He is the true forerunner of the Jewish Messiah, the angel of union and harmony in the world.”
That is what Israel is waiting for: Elijah, that Anointed One of God.
Now remember, we have the promise of the Two Anointed Ones that stand before the Presence of the God of all the Earth, and those are the ministries of Moses and Elijah, which will be repeating on Earth, operated by the Holy Spirit at the Last Day.
When Reverend William Branham was asked about the fifth Elijah, about the Elijah who will preach to the Hebrew people, look at question number 11 in the book of The Seals in Spanish; in this version, it says [“Questions and Answers on The Seals,” p. 461 in Eng.]:
“[147] 182. Is the Elijah, who comes to preach to the Jews, the real man who lived on the earth, or will he be the spirit of Elijah in some other man?
The translation that was done, says:
“[148] I’m inclined to believe that it will be anointed men, of their spirit.”
Therefore, there will be a man anointed with the ministering spirit of Elijah; therefore, it will be a man anointed by the Holy Spirit, through whom the Holy Spirit will be operating the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time. The only One who has ministries is the Holy Spirit, and He is the One who operates the ministries. It goes on to say:
“[148] Because, see, he says, ‘Does not…on Elisha? Does not the spirit of Elijah rest on Elisha?’ See, ‘the spirit of Elijah.’ And he done just like Elijah did, see.”
And now, we can see that he speaks to us about a man who will be on Earth, in whom the Holy Spirit will be operating the ministry of Elijah. It says on page 408, on question number 17 [“Questions and Answers on The Seals,” p. 471 in Eng.]:
“[203] 189. Brother Branham, is the seventh angel, with the spirit of Elijah, the same man as the Elijah sent to the hundred and forty-four thousand Jews during the three and a half years after the Rapture? Some of us are mixed up, in this.
204 No. He isn’t the same.”
In other words, the Elijah with the fourth ministry of Elijah, operated by the Holy Spirit, is not the same Elijah who will take the Message to 144.000 Hebrews.
Therefore, it will be another prophet, another man, whom the Holy Spirit will be in; and therefore, he will be the one anointed by the Holy Spirit and with the Holy Spirit, in whom the Holy Spirit will be operating the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time. Christ in Holy Spirit in a man of this time operating the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time.
And when that man is on Earth, he will be the man who will take the Message to the Hebrew people. The Hebrew people will only recognize that man as the Elijah of Malachi, chapter 4, verse 1 to 6; and the Hebrew people will only hear that man. It continues to say, or it says:
“204 No. He isn’t the same. See, it’s two different men.”
In other words, the fifth Elijah and the fourth Elijah are two different men. Even though it’s the same ministry of Elijah in both men and the same Holy Spirit, but it will be different in each of those prophets: one is a prophet for the seventh Church age; the other is a prophet for the Age of the Cornerstone, for the Church of Jesus Christ and for the Hebrew people.
Only through that man will God work both in favor of His Church and in favor of the Hebrew people; and beside that man, God will put many ministers, many people to work with that ministry.
There are people who ask: “What ministry are you working with?” In Brazil they tend to ask… to have ministries; it’s not understood that way in other countries, meaning, there is no such thing. But in Brazil there is: they have different names and they have different ministries that the churches work with; some churches work with a ministry that has a certain name, and others work with another ministry that has a certain name.
But God’s elect who will be transformed will be working with the ministry of the Two Olive Trees; that is the ministry from God to work with at this end time.
And those ministries will be operated by the Holy Spirit through human flesh. There will be a man of this time in whom the Holy Spirit will be, and that is God’s Anointed One, the Holy Spirit’s Anointed One, through whom these ministries will be operated.
And now, let’s look at page 369…
During the different stages of the Church, the Door of God’s Mercy has been open, but It will be shut; and therefore, the Church will have the final ministry, which is the ministry of the Two Olive Trees. Under those ministries, the Holy Spirit will be speaking and giving human beings the last opportunity.
It says on page 369 of the book of The Seals in Spanish, Reverend William Branham says [“The Sixth Seal,” p. 424 in Eng.]:
“359 It’s time for the Sixth Seal, pretty soon, to be opening up. And when she does, oh, my, it ends! The Bride has done gone forth…”
In other words, when the Divine judgments are on Earth, the judgments of the great tribulation, the elect will be with Christ at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
“[359] …she has done…the Queen has done went to take Her place; She has been married now, to the King, while this is going on. And Israel’s remnant is sealed and ready to go, and then nature lets go. Oh, what a time!
360 Notice the last verse of the Sixth Seal, opened. Those who had laughed at the preaching of the Word, of the vindicated Word of the living God; when them prophets had stood there and performed miracles, closed the sun, and everything else, and all down through the age. See, ‘They cried for the rocks and the mountains to hide them,’ see, to hide them from the Word that they had laughed at, ’cause they seen Him come. ‘Hide us from the wrath of the Lamb.’ He is the Word. See? They had laughed at the Word. And here the Word was, incarnate.”
Where will the Word incarnate be? In the Two Olive Trees; the Word, Christ incarnate, will be there.
“[360] And they had made fun of It; laughed at them, made fun of them. And the incarnate Word had dropped forth!
361 Why didn’t they repent? They couldn’t. It was too far, then. So, they knowed that, the punishment. They hear It. They had sat in meetings like this and knowed about It. And they knowed that the things of those prophets, had predicted, was looking them right in the face, the thing that they had rejected. They had spurned mercy for the last time.”
God’s mercy for the last time will be available under the ministry of the Two Anointed Ones, of Moses and Elijah, of the Two Olive Trees; but then comes the wrath of God. That is when the change takes place: from mercy to Divine judgment…
Therefore, the Two Anointed Ones are the ministries of Moses and Elijah; that is where the Word incarnate for the end time comes.
On page 256 of the book of The Seals in Spanish, it says [“The Fourth Seal,” p. 295 in Eng.]:
“196 But when our Lord appears here on earth, He’ll be riding on a snow-white horse. And He’ll be completely, fully, the Emmanuel, the Word of God incarnate in a Man.”
There we have the promise of what will happen. It is the same thing: the Word, Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, coming in flesh; that is, manifested in a man at the Last Day.
On page 146 of the book of The Seals it says [“The First Seal,” p. 168 in Eng.]:
“402 And at the same time that this devil falls out of Heaven and becomes incarnate in a man, the Holy Spirit goes up and comes down in carnate men.”
It is Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, the Holy Spirit, incarnate in a man at the Last Day; and that man will be the Anointed One of God for the end time. But that man won’t be Jesus Christ; but Jesus Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit, will be manifested in that man. It will be Christ in Holy Spirit veiled and revealed in human flesh in the midst of His Church, and then in the midst of the Hebrew people.
First the Church of Jesus Christ will have that man in Her midst, through whom the Holy Spirit will be operating the final ministry.
On page 352 of the book of The Seals in Spanish, Reverend William Branham says [“The Sixth Seal,” p. 405]:
“[202] And just about the time the antichrist moves hisself fully on the stre-…on the scene; God moves Hisself fully on, to redeem it all. See, just run, just right together.”
And now, God will come in Holy Spirit, God manifested on Earth in all His fullness. What for? To redeem us, this is: to transform us who are alive; and those who died: to resurrect them in glorified bodies.
The resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of us who are alive depends on this manifestation of God promised here. In that manifestation, great miracles and wonders will happen worldwide.
When the very last elect has entered the Church of Jesus Christ, from that point on we will see great wonders, great physical miracles in the midst of the Church; and then in the midst of the Hebrew people. Because God through Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, will be manifested in a veil of flesh, in an instrument, who will be anointed with the Seal of the living God; he will have the Seal of the living God, according to Revelation, chapter 7.
That is the Angel who comes with the Seal of the living God to call and gather 144,000 Hebrews, that is the messenger anointed with the Holy Spirit, that is the Lord’s Anointed One for the end time.
And just as God said to the prophet Isaiah: “Thus saith the Lord to His anointed,”4 it is the same for God’s Anointed One of the Last Day; who will first be in the Church of Jesus Christ, and then with the Hebrew people.
It will be the same messenger with the Holy Spirit, the ministry of Moses and Elijah being operated through that messenger, who will be the Lord’s Anointed One for the Last Day. It won’t be Jesus Christ; but Jesus Christ will be in him: anointing him with His Holy Spirit and using him in all the work relevant to this end time.
“THUS SAITH THE LORD TO HIS ANOINTED.”
The same words spoken to Cyrus by God through the prophet Isaiah, are also for the Anointed One of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Last Day.
“THUS SAITH THE LORD TO HIS ANOINTED.” Those are words (as I already said to you) for Cyrus at that time, but that was the type and figure of what will happen at this end time.
Those same words were for Christ two thousand years ago, and they were fulfilled in the spiritual world; and at this time they will be fulfilled in the physical world. It will be a Work, not of man, but of God, through God’s Anointed One, anointed with the Holy Spirit at the Last Day.
It has been a great privilege for me to be with you on this occasion.
I leave Reverend Oswaldo Natale with us to continue.
“THUS SAITH THE LORD TO HIS ANOINTED.”
