The Marriage Yoke between Christ and His Church

Good afternoon, fellow ministers in the Mystical Body of Christ; it is a great blessing and privilege to be with you on this occasion, to share some moments of fellowship with you around the Word of God and His Program relevant to this end time.

Greetings to Missionary Rev. Miguel Bermúdez Marín, if this activity is being broadcasted. May God bless you, Miguel, and may He keep you and restore you soon, may your health be restored soon; and may God always use you greatly in His Work at this end time. We want Miguel to stay with us until the transformation.

In the Divine Program, before the foundation of the world, when God designed It, we were there in His mind, to appear at this end time; therefore, our stay on Earth in this time is not a mere coincidence, it was designed that way by God and that is why we are here, and we are here for a Divine purpose, which each individual must fulfill: we are here to obtain redemption by receiving Christ as our Savior, and —thus— coming into the New Covenant that God said He would establish with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

And Saint Paul, explaining that New Covenant, says that this is the New Covenant,[1] which he was teaching among the Gentiles, for it said in Jeremiah, chapter 31, verse 31 to 36, that God, that He would establish a New Covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; and when it says “a New Covenant,” that means new.

For example, when you say: “I’m wearing new shoes…” which sometimes fit a bit tight until your feet adjust or until your shoes adjust to your feet. You can’t say: “I had my old shoes repaired and they put new soles and new heels on them, and now I’m wearing new shoes”; no, those are repaired shoes, shoes that were restored: their soles and their heels were restored as well.

But now, when referring to a New Covenant, that isn’t referring to the restoration of the Old Covenant; it’s referring to a New Covenant, to something new.

And now, there is only one way to come into a New Covenant: in order for the people who were in the Old Covenant to enter the New Covenant, they must be divorced from the first Covenant.

God represents Israel in a young lady, in a woman, and Judah as well; in other words, both kingdoms: the house of Judah, which pertains to the southern kingdom, made up of two tribes: the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Ephraim [Benjamin]; and that included the Levites, who, despite also being called a tribe, had no inheritance in the territory of Israel, instead they were given about 42 cities for them to live among all the tribes of Israel. They weren’t given land, that is, a territory that could be known as: the territory called the tribe of Such-and-such, rather, they were given cities among different tribes.[2]

And now, since the temple was in Jerusalem, well, the majority of Levites, including the most important among the Levites, which are the priests, descendants of Aaron… they are the only ones who are heirs to the high priesthood and also the heirs to the priesthood that accompanied the high priest; the rest of the Levites are servants of the priests to perform certain duties in the religious realm, in the temple as well.

Now, we find that the majority of them went to the kingdom of Judah, the southern kingdom, which belonged to the Kingdom of David, which was broken, divided, and ten tribes were given to Jeroboam, and two tribes were left to Rehoboam;[3] and that was by the work of God, due to the idolatry that King Solomon practiced and allowed to be practiced in Israel;[4] due to idolatry, which is infidelity to God in the marriage covenant between God and His people.

Notice, God broke, divided that kingdom due to that idolatry, and then Jeroboam was left with ten tribes, he was given ten tribes; Jeroboam, a descendant of Ephraim.

Those tribes couldn’t be given to anyone else but a descendant of Ephraim, because Ephraim has the Birthright Blessing, Ephraim a descendant of Joseph; because the Birthright, the rights of the Birthright, were given to and belong to Joseph, and therefore, to his children;[5] and Ephraim represents the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, which has the rights of the Birthright. As simple as that.

Now, Jeroboam was thinking in his heart: “This people (who had been given to him) will go up to Jerusalem to worship God, to take their offerings, to make their sacrifices there (because that was the place where God said they had to be made);[6] they will also take their tithes there and other offerings (according to the law that God had given the Hebrew people), and they will join King Rehoboam again and will kill me (the king said… thought in his heart); the kingdom of David will be unified again.”[7]

And then he established idolatry among the ten tribes, building them two golden calves: he put one in Dan and the other in Bethel, so that the people would go worship there, in those places, and wouldn’t go to Jerusalem. And he says to the people: “Stop going to Jerusalem!” See? He is perverting the Word that God had given the people, when He told them that all sacrifices would be in Jerusalem, there in the temple, where God would put His Name.

And now, he is altering what God said, just like the serpent altered It back then in the Garden of Eden when it spoke with Eve.[8]

And now, he says to them, after making the two golden calves, he tells them: “Here are your gods which brought you out of Egypt,” and he establishes idolatry for them, the religion of idolatry for the northern tribes. And what happens? God divorces, puts away, gives a bill of divorce to the house of Israel, to the northern kingdom.

Judah (that is, the kingdom of Judah, the house of Judah) also saw what the kingdom of Israel was doing; and they are represented in two married women, because they are married to God under the Covenant of the Law.

The Covenant of the Law is a marriage covenant between God and the Hebrew people given on Mount Sinai, for God to be their God, and for the people to be the people of God. That is why all of Israel, including both kingdoms, is also represented in a woman; it’s the Church of the Old Covenant, that is, it’s the Church of the Old Testament.

And now, God speaks of a New Covenant, why? Because as long as the house of Judah and the house of Israel were married, they couldn’t remarry. In order to establish a New Covenant of the union between the people and God, they must be free to remarry, and they will marry the same God. That is why God says to them: “I am married unto you.”[9]

And now, it will be under a New Covenant, with new promises and better promises established by God; which Saint Paul talks about in Hebrews, chapter 8 and chapter 9, saying that it’s a Covenant with better promises.

And notice, the house of Israel (of the northern kingdom) was taken captive, exiled from the land of Israel and taken captive to Assyria, and then from there scattered throughout the entire world.

And now, Christ says to them, He says to His disciples and to the people, that He is not sent… He says: “I am not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel;” and He also tells His disciples to go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. That’s in chapter 10 and in chapter 15 of Saint Matthew.

And in chapter 10 of Saint John, He says that He also has other sheep which are not of that fold, of the place where He was, and that they will hear His Voice: “and there shall be one Fold and one Shepherd.” He also says that it’s necessary… He says: “Them also I must bring,” and He says they will hear His Voice.

He also says in Saint Matthew, chapter 18, verses 11 to 14, and Saint Luke, chapter 19, verse 10: “For the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

And He also says that the Father gave Him the sheep; He says that they belong to the Father and that the Father gave them to Him, for what? To give them – to seek them and give them Eternal Life: “My sheep hear My voice, and they follow me, and I know them, and I give them Eternal Life,” Christ says in Saint John, chapter 10, verses 27 to 30.

And now, the people of the New Covenant is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, the people called: Christianity. Just as there were good people and not-so-good people in the Old Covenant, there are also those in, or who think they are in the New Covenant, because in the Kingdom would be the wheat and the tares, the good and the bad.

And now, we are seeing the people who have already come into the New Covenant and are called “Christians”; and also as a people (a spiritual people) it is called the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, composed of the born-again believers in Christ.

And now, we find that this is what Christ spoke to us about when He said: “Take My yoke upon you,”[10] the marriage yoke between Christ and the believers in Him; the yoke of marriage, where two people are united and become one flesh, and where the wife is the helpmate that God has given him; one: for man to reproduce himself into many human beings, and to work on the things that the man must do, and for the woman to work on the things that pertain to the woman.

It’s not good to see the man in the kitchen doing the woman’s chores, God has given that part to the woman; and she will also be taking care of the children, giving them food, preparing their meals, and so on, and changing their clothes; that is for the woman to do; although the man can help her when necessary, he should also know how to do that part when it is necessary to do.

The man has the main responsibility of earning the money and bringing home the food, that is, working to provide for the household. And when the situation is very difficult, the woman is also called to help: if she has to work to earn money, she is also called to do so.

And now, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the Wife of the Lamb, of Christ, in the spiritual realm; and She is married to Christ – or engaged to Christ.

Saint Paul says: “I have espoused you as a chaste virgin to Christ,”[11] referring to the Church. Since She is espoused, well, She is still a Bride; like Mary: she was espoused, engaged.[12]

But also, in the spiritual realm, She is married and (in the spiritual realm) She is having sons and daughters of God through the union of Christ and His Church under the New Covenant, the marriage Covenant.

That is why the members of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ appear as the sons and daughters of God, with Eternal Life; although all human beings, descendants of Adam and Eve, are also children of God, because Adam and Eve are children of God.

But now, under the New Covenant, notice, the children of God are the ones united with Christ under the New Covenant; they are the ones who have Eternal Life through Christ: “My sheep hear My Voice and they follow Me, and I give them Eternal Life.” Who are the ones who receive Eternal Life? Those who hear the Voice of Christ and follow Christ.

On one occasion, Christ says: “And you will not come to Me, that you might have Eternal Life.”[13] Those who have not wanted to come to Christ, notice, have thus spurned Eternal Life, and the wrath of God is upon them. You find that in chapter 3 of Saint John, from verse 16 and on.

And now, we can see that there is a Divine Program that is being carried out, in which all the believers in Christ are under a New Covenant, and therefore, they are under the marriage yoke with Christ, and that is why they have certain rights.

Notice, in a kingdom, the king, since he is the king, what is his wife? The queen; and their children are the princes and princesses. And in the union between Christ and His Church, Christ is the King for the Millennial Kingdom, and His Church is the Queen, and the sons and daughters of Christ and His Church are the princes, the heirs of that Kingdom. As simple as that.

That is why Christ says in Revelation that: “He has made us unto our God kings and priests, and we shall reign on the Earth.”[14]

Notice, when a certain king is reigning in a country, his wife is the queen and their children are the princes and princesses; and one says: “The royal family is reigning.” The royal family is: the king, the queen, and their children, they are the ones who are reigning.

And the Royal Family that will reign in the Millennial Kingdom is Christ, His Church, and all the children that Christ has had through His Church, all those who are born again. The Royal Family of Heaven will reign upon the Earth, they are God’s sons and daughters; and therefore, since God is the King of the universe, they are the Royalty members of the heavenly Kingdom; a Kingdom that will be established on Earth, which is also called and will be the restoration of the Kingdom of God on Earth or the restored Kingdom of David.

And now, since we are at this end time, we thank God for the privilege He has given us of being members of the Mystical body of Christ.

That is why, at this end time, Christianity, the believers in Christ, feel a great love for the Hebrew people: because the moment for the restoration of God’s Kingdom on Earth is drawing closer, and thus, the restoration of the Kingdom of David for the Hebrew people.

This is the time in which there will be a very great overlap, both dispensationally and also between the Kingdom of God and the kingdom of the Gentiles. The Gentile kingdom will come to an end, and the Kingdom of God will be the one that will rule over the Hebrew people and over all the nations.

We are in the prelude of the Kingdom of God and Its establishment on this planet Earth literally. We are in the prelude, in the introduction; and that is why Christianity is on the lookout, Judaism is also on the lookout, Islam is also on the lookout, because they believe that Jesus will return.

Judaism awaits the Messiah, so does Christianity, and so does Islam, because they believe and know that Jesus will return to Earth. To Islam: Jesus will return to Earth; to Christianity: Jesus will return; and to Judaism: the Messiah will come. These three very important religions that believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and who are descendants of Abraham, are waiting for the Messiah.

The apostle Paul, in Galatians, chapter 3, says that the believers, those who are of the faith of Christ (that is, who are of the faith of Abraham), are children of Abraham.

Saint Paul also says in Hebrews, chapter 2, verses 10 to 16, that God did not take on Him the nature of angels, but He took on Him the seed of Abraham.

Therefore, there is a great blessing for the seed of Abraham that comes through Isaac and also through Jacob; but there is also a great blessing for those who come through the other children of Abraham, and —therefore— through the children that he had through Hagar, through the son of Hagar: Ishmael, and also through the sons of Keturah; in other words, there is a great blessing for them as well; though the greatest blessing comes through Abraham, Isaac, it passes on to Jacob, from Jacob to the patriarchs, and from there it spreads to the different tribes.

And now, through Christ, the blessing of Abraham has passed on to the Gentiles; because in Abraham and his seed (and his seed is Christ, the Messiah, who came through the tribe of Judah), through the Messiah, Christ, the Gentiles are blessed: under the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, to receive salvation and Eternal Life, and thus, enter into the New Covenant, which God would establish with His people: with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.

We are living in a very important time, in which there are great blessings for all the believers in Christ.

Christianity is living in the Golden Age; the Golden Age, which is represented in the highest part of the Church, which pertains to this end time, and which is represented in the most holy place, which was made of all gold, that is why it is the Golden Age.

We have reached the Golden Age, the Age of the Cornerstone, the Age of the Most Holy Place of the spiritual Temple of Christ. If the Church is represented in a spiritual Temple, It must have a Most Holy Place.

In past stages It had the Holy Place, and that is why It had the candlestick with the seven lamps on fire: the seven ages with the seven messengers, shining in each… those stages of Christianity.

And now, we have reached the most glorious time of all: the time of the Most Holy Place of the spiritual Temple of Christ; that is the Divine cycle for the Coming of the Lord.

“For the Lord will come to His Temple,” says the Scripture (both in Haggai, chapter 2, as well as in Habakkuk, chapter 2, and in other passages[15] of the Scripture).

“And the Deliverer will come to Zion, who will take away the wickedness of Jacob.” Isaiah, chapter 59, verses 17 to 21.

And so on and so forth, we can see other Scriptures that correspond to this end time; and although some of them had a short-term fulfillment in past times, the long-term fulfillment corresponds to this end time; because there are Scriptures that have a double and also a triple fulfillment, such as the Scripture that says: “Israel is My son, My firstborn.”[16] And it also says: “I called My son out of Egypt.”[17]

He called Israel out of Egypt and took them to the promised land. And then, Jesus lived in Egypt (we don’t know for how many days, months, or years), and then He called Him out of Egypt to go to the land of Israel, when the Angel spoke to Joseph and told him to return to the land of Israel.[18]

Likewise, we can find different prophecies with a double or triple fulfillment, because prophecies have a short-term fulfillment and they also have a long-term fulfillment. And some may see the short-term fulfillment and think: “That Scripture has already been fulfilled and it is no longer relevant other than in the historical sense, but not in the prophetic sense to be fulfilled again.”

God would have children through Adam and Eve; but then we find that He has children through people who marry, because they all belong to God; and then we also find that He has children through the Hebrew people under the Covenant that was given there in Israel – in Egypt, among the Gentiles, but in the midst of the Hebrew people who were with Moses. And then we find God having children through Christ in and through the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, children with Eternal Life; because it’s through the new birth that people obtain Eternal Life.

And now, we find that God’s Family with Eternal Life are the members of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ since the Day of Pentecost; they are in the Kingdom, the Kingdom that is in the spiritual realm; and once It is established in the physical realm, we will also be there with Christ.

Now, we remain within the marriage Covenant with Christ, the Son of God; we are under the marriage yoke with Christ, to work with Him —who is in the midst of His Church in Holy Spirit— in the Work of God that would be carried out under the Dispensation of Grace in the midst of all the nations; a work that has been carried out from age to age, from stage to stage.

And now, since we are under the marriage yoke with Christ in order to work, since Christ is the second Adam and the Church is the second Eve, notice: to work in the Work of the Lord and also to feed all the sons and daughters of God; Christ and His Church feed all His children.

That’s why it says in Revelation, chapter 22, verse 17: “The Spirit…” that is Christ, Christ in Holy Spirit.

That’s why the Scripture tells us, in chapter 2 and chapter 3, every time He spoke to each church, He said: “He that has ears to hear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches,” in other words, “let him hear what Christ in Holy Spirit is speaking.” The veil of flesh was the instrument that He sent in each age; because He speaks through His instruments.

And then, in Revelation as well, in chapter 22, notice what He says [verse 20]:

“He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.”

And now, Christ in Holy Spirit is the One who has been speaking all these things to His Church, from age to age, through the messenger relevant to each age; and which was revealed to the apostle John, and all of this was written, which is what would be manifested in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and he also spoke of what would be manifested in the kingdom of the Gentiles.

We are in a very glorious time, when at some point the last one will enter, who will complete the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, or with whom the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ will be completed; and Christ will complete His work as High Priest in Heaven, having redeemed the very last elect, the very last one written in Heaven, in the Lamb’s Book of Life, and then He will become the Lion of the tribe of Judah, King of kings and Lord of lords, and He will carry out the Claiming Work: He will claim all those He has redeemed with His Blood, and He will claim everything He has redeemed: the Kingdom, the planet Earth, and all the things He has redeemed; and He will claim Israel. This is promised to take place at this end time; therefore, in this 21st century, we will see all these things happen.

We are living in a very, very glorious time; we have the promise that there will be a resurrection of the dead in Christ and a transformation of those who are alive, born-again believers in Christ; and then there will also be a powerful manifestation of Christ, which begins before the resurrection.

And there will also be a giant Tent Cathedral in some country, which will be built, which was seen by Reverend William Branham when God showed him what will be the Third Pull, where all of God’s power will be manifested, where there will be no limitations. And therefore, that pertains to an age; and it wasn’t in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, nor seventh age.

If it had been in the first one, Paul would have been the instrument to be ministering there, and to then be in that little room, for God to carry out all those wonders that were seen by Reverend William Branham; but it wasn’t for the time of Saint Peter nor of Saint Paul.

It wasn’t for the time of Reverend William Branham either, but he had the privilege of seeing what would be the climax of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and the time when the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of the living in Christ will be carried out; and after that the rapture or catching away (as it is known among Christianity) to go with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. As simple as that.

Therefore, there will be a group of people, ministers and their churches, working in favor of that Divine project, working in favor of what was seen in a vision; and those people (ministers and congregations) will conquer that promise by faith.

Those of the time of the apostles did not conquer it, nor of the time of the first age with Saint Paul, nor any of the messengers of the seven ages; but it will be conquered – that promise will be conquered by someone, along with ministers and congregations of the end time who will be working hard: with all their soul, with all their heart, out of good will, willingly, and without limitation in terms of the efforts that they need to make.

Just as it happened for the tabernacle that Moses built: it was built through offerings, with the help of the people.[19] It was a privilege for the people to have a part in the construction of that tabernacle where God would dwell. And when it was completed, God descended, who accompanied them in that Pillar of Fire, and by night in a Pillar of … – by night in a Pillar of Fire or a Cloud of Fire, and by day in a Cloud that protected them from the sun.[20]

Then, when Moses dedicated that temple or tabernacle, He descended there, and went in and dwelt in the most holy place,[21] which is God’s dwelling place and place to dwell; a place where there were no candlesticks or lampstands, a dark place, because God would dwell in the dark. And why did it have to be that way? Because God is Light, and the only light that has to be there is the Light of God.

And it was made of gold; and so was the ark: made of gold; and the mercy seat: made of solid gold.[22] Why? Because that represents Divinity: gold.

So… In the tabernacle – or temple that Solomon built it was also like that; but it was already made of stones, and also wood, and so on.[23] But it was ordained by God as well, it was shown to King David so that it could be made: it was shown and designed by the hand of God, and then David, the king, gave Solomon his son the blueprints of the house, of the temple, and everything that had to be done.[24]

And now, the tabernacle that Moses built isn’t there, neither is the temple that King Solomon built, but the Scripture tells us that under the New Covenant is the Temple called the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

And Saint Paul says: “Don’t you know that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”[25] And speaking of the Church, he says that the Church is the Temple of God, and that if anyone defiles or destroys the Temple of God, God will destroy him.[26]

Therefore, the consequences for those who rise against the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ will be fatal. Those who rise against any child of God under the New Covenant, the consequences will be fatal; whether they are individuals or whether they are nations that rise against a child of God or against all the children of God, they will face serious consequences.

Christ Himself said that whoever offends one of these little ones, it would be better for him to tie a millstone around his neck and cast himself into the sea.[27]

And also in the judgment upon the nations, from chapter 25 of Saint Matthew, verses 31 to 46, it says that He will gather before Him, when He sits on the Throne of His Glory, that is, on the Throne of David, He will gather all the nations before Him; He will set some on His right (represented in sheep), and others on His left (represented in goats).

He will tell those on His right to enter the Kingdom prepared for them by God from before the foundation of the world, because they were good to whom? Christ says: “Inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto Me.”

And then, He will send those on the left to hell, and they will ask: “But, why?” He will say: “Because I was hungry, you didn’t feed Me; I was thirsty, you gave Me no drink; I was in prison, and you didn’t visit Me (and so on); you didn’t come see Me… I was sick and you didn’t come see Me, you didn’t visit Me,” and so on.

And they will say: “But, when did we see You under those circumstances and not do anything for You?” (That’s the idea.)

And Christ will say: “Inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these My brethren, you didn’t do it unto Me either.”

And they will be cast, where? Into that place that no one wishes to go to; those people and those nations will go to the fire; and therefore, they will be destroyed.

Many nations will be rejected by Christ when He sits on His Throne, the Throne of David, and they will be burned; and there will be other nations that will be blessed by entering the Kingdom of the Messiah, nations that have helped the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and also the Hebrew people.

Therefore, there will come a very important, very decisive time for all the nations.

And now, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has the promise to go with Christ to the great feast that will take place in Heaven, which will be the most important feast that has ever been carried out in the history of creation; and it will be in the House of the Heavenly Father. In other words, it will be a great feast, which I have been invited to, and who else? Each one of you too.

Well, we have been speaking about the marriage yoke. The marriage yoke is a type and figure of the marriage yoke between Christ and His Church.

We also saw that before the foundation of the world, Christ has been thinking… Some people wonder: “Well, what did God do before creating or starting to create things?” Well, He was thinking about what He would create, thinking about what He would do; because God doesn’t act without thinking first.

He is not like some people, who say… who do things, and then say: “I didn’t think about what I was doing.” It’s better that you think first and then do things; so that when you do things, you do them right.

It has been a great privilege for me to be with you, enjoying these moments and speaking about the marriage yoke, both in the physical realm as well as in the spiritual realm of God with His people Israel —with the house of Judah and with the house of Israel— and with the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, where we find millions of descendants of the house of Israel and also of the house of Judah, which have entered the New Covenant.

The Church started out with Hebrews, with members of the house of Judah and members of the house of Israel, that is, members of the northern kingdom and members of the southern kingdom. And Christ Himself was a member of the house of Judah; and not only a member but the Prince of the house of Judah, meaning, the Prince of that Kingdom of David.

That is also the reason for the great impact that was made in the time of Jesus. Everyone knew they weren’t dealing with just anyone; He was a person who was Royalty, He was of the seed of David, who was respected by the people; although some people were irreverent, but the people loved Him and the people followed Him; and at that time, some said: “If we let Him alone, all the people will follow Him.”[28]

But He had to die; and therefore, there had to be a rejection for Him to be able to die taking the sins of the human being. And thus, not only the Hebrew people, but all human beings, would have a Sacrifice of Atonement for their sins, which is the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ carried out on Calvary’s Cross, for Jews and Gentiles.

Christ loves all human beings; therefore, the death of Christ has been the greatest blessing that God has given the human race. Therefore, we can’t be angry at the Jews, there can’t be antisemitism among Christianity.

“Salvation (Jesus said) is of the Jews.”[29] Therefore, how can we be angry with the Jews? Instead, we should thank them for everything that happened, for God sending Jesus Christ in the midst of the Hebrews, of the Jews.

So, we love the Jews with all our heart; and we want the greatest blessing that God has promised for the Jews: the restoration of the Kingdom of David, where they will receive peace and happiness. And that is what the Jews desire: peace and happiness; with peace and happiness, they will have all the other things.

And we are not going to talk about the order to reach the peace; and then, as a goal, the happiness of all the Jews and of all mankind, which will be in the Kingdom of the Messiah, the Kingdom of the Prince of Peace.

May God bless you and keep you, and thank you very much for your kind attention.
