The Birth of Jesus Christ

Good morning, kind friends and brethren present, and all those who are in different nations: ministers and brethren gathered worshiping God, glorifying God, singing to God, and waiting for the Word for today, Sunday, Bible School day, in which we will be studying the Scriptures regarding the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

For this occasion, we read in Saint Matthew chapter 1, verses 18 to 25, and also Saint Luke chapter 1, verses 26 to 36. And the Word of God says the following: Saint Matthew chapter 1, verse 18 and on, says:

Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.”

And Saint Luke chapter 1, verses 26 to 33 or to 36, says:

And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin’s name was Mary.

And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

For with God nothing shall be impossible.

And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.”

May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It on this occasion, and always.

THE BIRTH OF JESUS CHRIST.”

The most important birth that has taken place on this planet Earth is the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, because He was not conceived by human will but by Divine creation.

What happened with Mary is what was supposed to happen with Eve, if she had waited the relevant time for that to happen, and thus brought children of God to Earth: children with Eternal Life; and therefore, to live eternally.

Emmanuel: God with us, visiting the human race to redeem the human being, who had lost the right to Eternal Life when Adam and Eve sinned there at the beginning of the human race here on Earth. The human being lost his inheritance, he lost Eternal Life, he lost the planet Earth, and therefore, he also lost the opportunity that God had given him, in which he would speak the Word and things would come to pass.

If sin hadn’t been committed there in the garden of Eden, about six thousand years ago, we would already be living on this Earth in eternal bodies and the Kingdom of God would be on Earth. But we had to appear on this Earth and come in contact with the second Adam, to be born through the second Adam and the second Eve, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; to thus confirm our place in Eternal Life, and therefore, in the Kingdom of God.

Remember that Christ said to Nicodemus: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except a man be born of Water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.”1 By being born of the Gospel and being born of the Holy Spirit, that is how one is born into the Kingdom of God, there is no other way to enter into the Kingdom of God. And for that to happen, Jesus Christ had to come to Earth in a physical form, and become a Kinsman Redeemer of the human being in order to reconcile the human being to God.

Just like in us there is a purpose for living on this Earth, there was a purpose for Jesus Christ to come to Earth two thousand years ago. He was Emmanuel, which being interpreted is: God with us. God made Himself a human body of time in order to be able to live among us physically; and that body is God’s physical likeness. That is why Christ said: “… the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”2 Therefore, it was God’s visitation to Israel, His people, and therefore to the human family; Emmanuel: God with us.

When God created the human being, He said: “Let us make man after our image and likeness.”3 God’s image is His spiritual body, His heavenly body, His theophanic body; and the likeness of God is the physical body called Jesus, in whom He dwelled in all His fullness. That is the mystery of God the Father, and of Christ: that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself.

That is why, what resembles God in image and likeness is the human being; and what God resembles in physical image and likeness is the human being; because the human being is the crown of Creation.

God placed everything under the dominion of the human being by giving him the Title Deed, which is the Book sealed with Seven Seals of Revelation chapter 5, which went back to God’s right hand; but it will be opened at this end time and brought back to the human being, to the human race, according to Revelation chapter 10; and then the human being, redeemed by the Blood of Christ, will be able to return to Eternal Life and to his inheritance.

And everyone will be in the image of God: heavenly bodies which they already obtain when they are born again; upon receiving the Spirit of God, they receive that Divine image; and when they are transformed they will receive God’s physical likeness. To put it into words: a glorified, eternal, immortal, incorruptible body like the glorified body that Jesus Christ has. That is the physical body of God, who is glorified and sitting on the Throne of God.

As God worked in Jesus Christ, He works in His Church. And this is very significant, because the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is represented in Eve and She is also represented in the virgin Mary. That is why Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, through His Church is reproducing Himself from age to age in sons and daughters of God, bringing them to Eternal Life in the new birth, and therefore, being born in the Kingdom of God, which is the Kingdom of Christ. And then, in order to live on this Earth in immortal bodies, He will give His believers the resurrection of the dead in Christ in eternal, young, glorified bodies, like the glorified body of Jesus Christ; and He will transform the living, born again believers in Christ; and everyone will be physically immortal, in the image and likeness of God, just like Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Just as Christ was born in the house of God: Bethlehem, the city of Bethlehem, and Bethlehem means: ‘House of God’ or ‘House of God’s Bread,” and Christ said: “I am the living bread which came down from heaven4 Where was He born? In the House of God’s Bread: Bethlehem. And the Church is the House of God, where Christ is; and Christ is also the House of God as a person, who said: Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. He speaks about this in Saint John chapter 2, verses 19 and on. And in Saint John chapter 10, and chapter 14, and in other places of the Scriptures, it tells us: “The Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”

The human being is a spiritual temple. That is why Christ, with His physical body being a spiritual temple, was able to say: “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up,” speaking of His body of flesh as a Temple for God.

And Christ is our Bethlehem, where all of God’s sons and daughters of the New Covenant are born, which form the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and since the Church, which was born on the day of Pentecost, is part of Christ, by His Church being born of Christ (in the House of God), we were born in Bethlehem, in our Bethlehem: the House of God’s Bread, the House of Christ, God’s Bread, the living Bread that came down from Heaven; and that’s where the Word of God is, because: “Man shall not live by bread (literal bread) alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”5

In His Church is where His Word has been; and Christ is the Word, where all people eat that spiritual Food. By faith, by believing in Christ and His Word, we are eating the Bread of Eternal Life.

Therefore, just as Christ was born in Bethlehem of Judea, the believers in Christ were born in Bethlehem, because Christ is our Bethlehem. And therefore, God’s trajectory in Christ, in whom He placed everything He is (what God is, He placed in Christ), Christ has placed everything He is in His Church. And in His Church is where the call is made from stage to stage, from age to age, the Voice of Christ in Holy Spirit calling and gathering the elect of each stage of His Church.

Just as God worked through Christ, Christ works through His Church. Therefore, what God has been doing, He has been doing it through Christ in His Church. And what God will do at this time: God’s final call, seeking His elect of the Last Day, will be in His Church; and the resurrection of the dead believers in Christ, those are the members of His Church of past stages and some from our time who have departed; and those who will be transformed will be the born-again members of His Church of the end time. As simple as that.

Every stage of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ has had its Message, its manifestation of Christ in Holy Spirit in the midst of His Church, calling and gathering His elect in each stage or age of His Church; and it has come forth and developed in a certain territory on Earth, and from there, God’s Program for each time has spread to other peoples, to other nations, to other territories. It will also be taking place this way at this end time.

That is why it is important to know God’s promises pertaining to the time in which the person is living, because that is what God will be carrying out at that time. God has everything programmed.

Therefore, it is important to know which are God’s promises for our time; because we don’t want what happened to people in the time of Noah to happen to us, they didn’t know that Noah and his Message, and what he was building, was God’s Program for that time; and Christ says: “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away.”6

The flood is a type and figure of the Great Tribulation, which pertains to the last three and a half years of the seventieth week of the prophecy of Daniel chapter 9.

We are in a time like Noah’s. Christ Himself said that: “As the days of Noah were, thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man is manifested,” (is revealed, will come).7 And also: “As it was in the days of Lot; thus shall it be in the day when the Son of Man will be revealed, will be manifested.”8

The Coming of the Son of Man will be fulfilled in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, because He comes for His Church to carry out the resurrection of His believers who died, and to carry out the transformation of the living; and this is according to Philippians chapter 3, verses 20 to 21. That is why we are waiting for the Coming of the Lord.

And Saint Paul also tells us in First Thessalonians chapter 4, verses 11 to *18, that there will be a Shout, Voice of the Archangel, and Trump of God; and the dead will rise, then we who are alive will be changed and then we will be taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. It says: “We shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air.”

And in First Corinthians chapter 15, verses 49 to 58, it tells us: “At the Last Trump; for the Trumpet shall sound, and the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible, and we who are alive shall be changed.”

Those are promises from God for the believers in Christ who are living at this end time; which we need to know in order to believe them with all our heart, and know that at some point what is promised for the believers in Christ will come to pass.

The born-again believers in Christ are the ones who form the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, from stage to stage, since the day of Pentecost until now; their names are written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life. They are the ones who in the Scripture are called: elected, predestinated, chosen, and so forth; they are mentioned as the sheep that the Father gave to Christ to seek them and give them Eternal Life, of whom Christ said: “My sheep hear My Voice, and they follow Me, and I know them, and I give them Eternal Life; and they shall never perish. My Father which gave them to Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.”9

In other words, Christ came to Earth with a purpose. That is why the birth of Jesus Christ through the virgin Mary there in Bethlehem of Judea is so important; the only woman to give birth to a child by Divine intervention.

And now, since Mary represents the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, in the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is where the Gospel of Christ is preached and where the call is made, and millions of human beings are born into the Kingdom of God, with Eternal Life in their soul and with the Spirit of God in them; which are identified because they hear the Word of God for the time in which they are living: “My sheep hear My Voice, and they follow Me,” says Christ. And Saint John chapter 8, verse 47, tells us: “He that is of God hears God’s Voice.” In other words: “He that is of God, heareth God’s words…

It is important to know why you hear the Word of God and you feed your soul with that Word, and It brings you peace and happiness: because you belong to God. As simple as that. And that is the evidence that you have the Spirit of God which guides you to all righteousness and all truth.

It is important to be prepared before God at this time in which we live, because at any moment great promises being fulfilled will take place, which will bring great blessings for all the believers in Christ; and at any moment, the Coming of the Bridegroom coming for the wise virgins of Saint Matthew chapter 25, verse 1 to 13 will take place, to go with Christ, to go in with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. It is important, therefore, to be prepared for that important event.

The promise is that He will come to His Church. His Church is the One that is waiting for Him. The world is not waiting for Him, His Church is.

How will He come and when will He come? That will be when He fulfills it, when He fulfills that promise. Then we will understand the date and the manner of the fulfillment of His Coming, just like now we understand the manner of His First Coming, because we already have the historical truth of what the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ was like two thousand years ago, being born in Bethlehem of Judea.

Just as we have read in history about the birth of Christ, such was the birth of Christ. Although there were, and there have continued to be, and there are still more people emerging who deny that historical birth which is so well documented and confirmed by the Holy Spirit and the apostles, of which Christ said that the Holy Spirit would come and testify about Christ, and that they—the disciples—would also testify of Him, testifying of the historical truth of the First Coming of Christ, and the purpose and the Work He carried out with and in His First Coming.

The First Coming is then a type and figure of the Second Coming of Christ. It will be parallel in everything.

Rev. William Branham says that Gabriel announced the First Coming of Christ and He will announce the Second Coming of Christ.10 And today we will not give details about what Rev. William Branham said, but on another occasion we will speak in more detail about this subject of the Archangel Gabriel; because we are interested in the Second Coming of Christ to His people, His Church, His people of the New Covenant.

Just as He came to the people of the Old Covenant, there is the promise of the Coming at the Last Day: the Coming of the Lord to the people of the New Covenant, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. And since we don’t want to go through what Israel went through, that they didn’t notice (except for a few) the fulfillment of the Coming of the Messiah; we want to be aware of all the details so that we don’t miss that promise and its fulfillment the moment it becomes a reality.

One of the important things that Rev. William Branham mentioned is that it will be in simplicity; everything will be simple, like the First Coming of Christ was.

We will be seeing more details during these days, regarding the Second Coming of Christ; although the birth of Jesus was not in December, the date they have set is not actually the date that He was born… He was born between April and March, in the spring, when there was no snow on the mountains of Judea, where the shepherds were watching, taking care of the sheep and keeping watch over them by night.

But since it is a commemoration… although the date in December was a date for pagan feasts, they also fit in the celebration of the birth of Jesus, the commemoration, in this season; so, we make the most of it by speaking about the birth of Christ and the blessings that He brought us in His First Coming; although His entire earthly trajectory in His physical body ended on Calvary’s Cross and it seemed like a tragedy, but that was God’s plan in order to carry out the redemption of the human being. And those are the things we need to understand in order to enjoy the blessings He brought us in His First Coming, and therefore, be prepared to receive the blessings He will bring us in His Second Coming.

The mystery of the Second Coming will be opened to the public when the mystery of the Seventh Seal of Revelation chapter 8, verse 1 is opened to the public. And therefore, the little Book must be brought open by the Mighty Angel, who is Christ coming with that Title Deed, the Book of Eternal Life, to restore It to the human family, bringing It to and in the midst of His Church, and giving It to the one or the ones who are represented in the Apostle John, who are represented by the messenger of the Last Day and also represents the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, there is a great blessing promised for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, to thus receive the faith, the revelation of the Seventh Seal, to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

The birth of Jesus Christ was as we read in Saint Matthew chapter 1, and as we read in Saint Luke chapter 1, and also in chapter 2.

May the blessings of Christ, the Angel of the Covenant be upon each one of you who are present, and those in other nations; and may He prosper you spiritually and materially, and fill you with the knowledge of His Word pertaining to the end time, and may He open the Scriptures to us and our understanding so that we understand. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

May God bless you and keep you all.
