Good evening, beloved friends and brethren present in the city of Curitiba, in the Republic of Brazil. It is a great blessing and privilege for me to be with you on this occasion, to share with you a few moments of fellowship around the Word of God and His Program relevant to this end time.
For which I want to read in Romans, chapter 8, verses 35 and on (up to 39), where it tells us:
“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
We also read in Hebrews, chapter 5… and we are also going to read another Scripture from Hebrews, which is very important for us and which we need to know well so we can understand why we are on this planet Earth. It is where it tells us that Christ would bring many children to glory. Let’s see where this Scripture is found. In chapter 2, verse 9 and on, of Hebrews, it says:
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It. Our subject is: “BORN TO OVERCOME.”
We need to understand that we are not on this planet Earth by mere coincidence; we are because of a divine purpose.
And we have an elder brother, whose name is: The Lord Jesus Christ; that is why He says that He is not ashamed to call us brethren. And He also says: “I will declare thy name unto my brethren,”1 that is, the Name of God.
And He also teaches us, this passage we read, that He says: “ Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me.”2
God’s children come through Jesus Christ, by believing in Christ as our Savior, washing our sins in His Blood and receiving His Holy Spirit, and thus obtaining the new birth; and we are born as sons and daughters of God.
When we were born according to the flesh (by our earthly parents), we were not born as children of God, we were born as children of our earthly parents; but through faith in Christ, by receiving Him as our Savior and receiving His Spirit: We obtained the new birth, and were born as sons and daughters of God in the Kingdom of God.
This is what Jesus spoke of to Nicodemus in chapter 3, verse 1 to 6, when He tells Nicodemus that it was necessary to be born again in order to see the Kingdom of God or Kingdom of the Heavens. And Nicodemus, who was interested in the Kingdom of God, asks Him how this could be done. In chapter 3, verse 4, says [John]:
“Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
It is a matter of entering the Kingdom of God, and there is only one way to enter the Kingdom of God: By believing in Christ as our Savior, and washing our sins in His Blood, and receive His Holy Spirit; and thus we are born again, we are born in the Kingdom of God, and we obtain the theophanic body of the sixth dimension.
And now, Jesus also says to him:
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
And neither can we marvel that it is necessary to be born again to enter the Kingdom of God.
The disciples of Jesus Christ, while they were with Jesus on Earth, in the earthly ministry of Jesus, although they were believers in Jesus Christ they were not yet born again because they had not received the Holy Spirit; but Christ in His Program of Salvation, by dying on Calvary’s Cross and resurrecting on the third day, and then ascending 40 days after His resurrection, and ascend to Heaven and sat at the right hand of God, 10 days after ascending to Heaven and sitting on the Throne of God, the Holy Spirit came upon 120 people who were in the upper room, praying and waiting for the Coming of the Holy Spirit; and there 120 people were born again on the Day of Pentecost3; and from then on, thousands and millions of people have been born again, from those days until this end time.
And now, one is born in the Kingdom of God to overcome; and the first victory is to receive Christ as our Savior, to wash our sins in His Blood and receive His Holy Spirit, and thus we obtain the new birth; and that is a victory for each one of us.
And now, we can see that the person who is born again, is born to overcome; and the first victory is to be born again. And then, for the Last Day, he will obtain an eternal and glorified body, and will be fully in the image and likeness of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
That is why we are born: To overcome; and we will obtain the Great Victory in Divine Love, and we will have an eternal body, like the eternal and glorified body of the Lord Jesus Christ; and that will be the Great Victory in Divine Love; and we will no longer be mortal: We will be immortal in the physical body, because it will be an eternal and glorified physical body, just like the body of Jesus Christ our Savior; that is why we are born: WE ARE BORN TO OVERCOME.
Christ is creating a new race with eternal life, and the first part in the Program of the creation of that new race is the new birth, where the person obtains the theophanic body of the sixth dimension; that is the image of God, that is the theophanic body in which Jesus Christ has always been, and of which Christ spoke when He said: “Before Abraham was, I am.”
That was in the conversation He had with some Jews in chapter 8, verse 56 to 58, when He says to the Jews [John]: “Abraham desired to see my day; he saw it, and rejoiced.” They say to Him: “You are not fifty years old, and you say that you have seen Abraham?.” Jesus says to them: “Before Abraham was, I am.”
And how was Jesus before He was in the physical body?, because the physical body of flesh was born in Bethlehem of Judea through the virgin Mary; but before having that body of flesh, well, Jesus already had His glorified body or His theophanic body, His theophanic body of the sixth dimension; and in that theophanic body He appeared to the prophets of the Old Testament, and He was called the Angel of the Lord, the Angel of the Covenant.
That Angel of the Covenant that delivered the Hebrew people from bondage in Egypt is our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. That Angel of the Covenant who appeared to Abraham as Melchizedek in His theophanic body is our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
That is why Jesus Christ is Melchizedek, the Priest of the heavenly Temple, the High Priest of the heavenly Temple, who entered into the Most Holy Place with His own Blood, to make intercession for all of us in the heavenly Temple, in the Most Holy Place, where the Throne of God is, there in Heaven; and He sat upon the Mercy Seat: The Throne of God; and has been making intercession with His own Blood until every last one of God’s elect, God’s predestined, enters the Mystical Body of Christ.
When He has made intercession for the last of the elect, then He will have finished His Work of Intercession in Heaven, as the high priest did in the tabernacle built by Moses and in the temple built by King Solomon.
On the day of atonement, which was the 10th day of the seventh month of each year, the atonement of the goat was carried out; and the high priest was the one who sacrificed it, and then carried the blood to the most holy place, and sprinkled it with his finger seven times upon the mercy seat, where the presence of God was in the light of the Shekinah; and that was for the reconciliation of the Hebrew people with God, that was the day of reconciliation; and that is why the day of atonement was carried out every year. If it was not carried out in a year, then the people were not reconciled with God, and therefore the divine judgment would come upon the people.
That is why you can see that divine judgment has been coming upon the Hebrew people for all these centuries. They no longer have a temple, neither that of Moses, nor that of Solomon; nor do they have a high priest performing those sacrifices; and there is no longer any need for those sacrifices, because Jesus Christ has already carried out the Sacrifice for sin. Therefore, God accepts only one sacrifice: The Sacrifice of Christ on Calvary’s Cross, and only one Blood: The Blood of Jesus Christ, which cleanses us from all sin and reconciles us with God.
Reconciliation with God is through Jesus Christ, who carried out the perfect Sacrifice, which was typified in the atonement of the tenth day of the seventh month; but when it was fulfilled in Jesus Christ, God no longer accepts animal sacrifices.
And now, the descendants of heavenly Abraham, which are the sons and daughters of God, the elect of God, the heavenly Israel, is being reconciled with God for all these years from the Day of Pentecost onwards, because Christ is making intercession in the Most Holy Place of the spiritual Temple.
And when the very last one of those whose names are written in Heaven has been reconciled, then, the heavenly Israel has been reconciled; and then Christ will come out of the Throne of Intercession, He will take the Title Deed, which is the Book of the Seven Seals, and then He will open it in Heaven and will claim all those He has redeemed with His Blood, and will resurrect the dead in Christ and transform us; and then we will go with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven. And then we will see Jesus Christ in His glorified body, because we will also have glorified bodies.
Now, notice why we were born on this planet Earth: We were born to overcome. We are not here on Earth to eat, sleep, work, eat, sleep and work; that is the same thing that even the animals do: Eat, sleep, and work in some things (some of them); there are others who are quite lazy and we have to give them food.
And now, notice, the purpose of our existence on this planet Earth is eternal life; and for that we make contact with eternal life, which is Jesus Christ, in the time that we are allotted to live, in order to occupy our position in the Kingdom of God, each one in the time that is his turn to live. Some have their turn at one time and others have their turn at another time.
Now, we can see that the purpose of our life on Earth is more glorious than we imagined: We are here to confirm our place in the Kingdom of God.
Reverend William Branham said in the message “Proving His Word” (page 42 in Spanish), and contained in this book of Quotations, on page 134, paragraph 1197; Reverend William Branham says:4
“He proves all of His Words, all of His Words. Just think of it, all of His Words! And you were His Word. He was the Word, and you were part of His Word. And, that’s the reason you’re sent here, to confirm your place in life.”
And us, by coming to this Earth, we have come to confirm our place in eternal life; that is why we pass through this planet Earth: To confirm our place in eternal life; that is why we are called and placed in the age in which we live, each one in the age in which he is allotted to live.
And now it has been allotted to us to live in this end time in the Age of the Cornerstone. The Mystical Body of Christ, the Reverend William Branham represented it in a mountain in the form of a pyramid, and he placed the different ages of the Church of Jesus Christ among the gentiles: He placed seven ages with seven messengers, and different territories; and all that was represented in the seven churches of Asia Minor that were chosen in the book of Revelation.5 And the Age of the Cornerstone, the Age of Divine Love comes after the seven stages.
Each age was fulfilled in a territory. The first age among the gentiles in Asia Minor; then, five ages were fulfilled in Europe, in different European nations, and each age had its messenger; then the seventh age was fulfilled in North America, and Reverend William Branham was the messenger of that seventh age and he was also the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ, sent with the spirit and power of Elijah to forerun the Second Coming of Christ.
And then, the Age of the Cornerstone is fulfilled in Latin America and the Caribbean, where Christ calls and gathers His elect of this Last Day, and places them in His Church, in the Age of the Cornerstone, the Age of Divine Love, to obtain the Victory in Divine Love, because we were born to overcome.
Now we can see why we are living on this planet Earth. And when we understand these things, we can see that life is more important than we imagined.
There is a divine purpose in our life, and that is why our earthly life has a reason; and when one finds the reason of his life on Earth then he gives thanks to God for living on this Earth and hearing the Voice of God in this end time.
Christ said: “He who is of God, hears the Voice of God.”6 He also said: “My sheep hear my Voice and follow me.”7
In John, chapter 10, Jesus speaking of His sheep… because He represented all the children of God in sheep, and Christ represented Himself in the Good Shepherd. Chapter 10, verse 14 to 16, of John, says:
“I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.”
He was going to die, why? For each one of us: For us who live in this time and for those who have lived in past ages. He goes on to say:
“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold (that is, that are not of the Hebrew people, they are gentiles): them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”
There will be one flock: That is the Church of Jesus Christ, and one Shepherd: that is our beloved Lord Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd.
And now, how is He going to call, going to bring those sheep to the Fold, to His Church? From age to age Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit has been manifested in the angel messenger of each age, in the territory relevant to each age; and through that messenger, Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit has been calling and gathering His sheep into His Fold, into His Church.
And now in this end time He is calling and gathering His last sheep, His last elect. Where? In His Fold, in His Church. What territory? Latin America and the Caribbean.
And now, we can see the reason for our existence on this planet Earth, and the reason for that need in our soul. We wanted to know the reason for our life on Earth, we wanted to know the Divine Program, and now He is making it known to all of us.
And now we can see that the final call of Christ is in Latin America and the Caribbean; and then He will turn to the Hebrew people to call and gather 144,000 Hebrews who are written in Heaven, in the Book of Life; but first He calls and gathers His elect from among the gentiles to complete His Fold, His Church among the gentiles in this end time, to then resurrect the dead in Christ and transform us who are alive. Those of us who remain alive until the dead in Christ are resurrected: We will be transformed, because we were born to overcome.
We have been born to obtain the victory, the Great Victory in Divine Love, and to obtain immortality for all eternity, and to obtain an eternal, immortal and glorified and young body for all eternity, which will represent from 18 to 21 years for all eternity; and thus to be in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ our Savior.
That is the Divine Program for each one of you and for me as well. We are born to overcome; and the victory we obtain through Jesus Christ our Savior, He is the one who gives us the victory.
And now, aware of the reason for our existence on this Earth, let us walk forward serving Him with all our soul, listening to His Voice, His Word, and being prepared to be transformed in this end time; and always working in His Work all the days of our life.
It has been a great privilege for me to be with you on this occasion, giving testimony of why we were born on this planet Earth. Remember that we are here for a divine purpose.
A little more here and see what Saint Paul says: in Romans, chapter 8, he says [verse 14]:
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
These are the people who have believed in Christ as their Savior, have washed away their sins in His Blood and received His Holy Spirit, and are guided by the Holy Spirit.
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
By being glorified, well we will have the glorified body. We are going to be glorified, we are going to be transformed and we are going to have a glorified body.
“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
That manifestation of the children of God in eternal bodies, with eternal life, with glorified bodies, and young for all eternity, and with all that Adam and Eve lost, restored to us; and all the power and authority of God placed in us. All of Creation is waiting for that moment, and that will be the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of us who live.
“For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.”
The adoption we await is the redemption of our body; wherein we shall obtain our transformation, and thus obtain the eternal, young, glorified body, equal to the glorified body of Jesus Christ our Savior.
“For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
God knew us since before the foundation of the world, because He is omnipresent and omniscient, therefore, He knows what is going to happen in the future; and He, therefore, since before the foundation of the world saw us sitting here.
He predestined us since before the foundation of the world to be adopted as His children, He predestined us to be according to the image of Jesus Christ and to the likeness of Jesus Christ; to have the image of Jesus Christ: that is the theophanic body; and to have the likeness of Jesus Christ: that is the glorified body.
We have been predestined by God since before the foundation of the world to be like Jesus Christ our Savior, for Him to be the firstborn among many brethren. Our elder brother, sometimes we think of him who was born first in our family; but that is our brother according to the flesh through the earthly family; but our elder brother is Jesus Christ our Savior, He is our brother.
“…that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.”
Remember that we belong to a New Creation with eternal life by receiving Christ as our Savior and receiving His Spirit, and thus obtaining the new birth. We have been born into a new family: a heavenly Family, into the Family of God, of which Jesus Christ is the firstborn. He is the beginning8 of God’s Creation, of that new race with eternal life; and as He is, so shall all His brethren be. It is through Jesus Christ that all the sons and daughters of God come to eternal life.
“Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called…”
See, when Christ calls the person, he was predestined since before the foundation of the world. The call is to those He predestined since before the foundation of the world. He said: “My sheep hear my Voice, and they follow me.” “He that is of God, the Voice of God hears.”
When He spoke of His sheep, which are the children of God, He said: “They were yours, and you gave them to me.”9 And what did He give them to Him for? To give them eternal life. He goes on to say:
“…and whom he called, them he also justified…”
To be justified is to remain as if the person had never in life sinned; for the Blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin,10 and then we remain as if we had never sinned.
“…and whom he justified, them he also glorified.”
You see, the entire Program was in God’s mind since before the foundation of the world, and then He is fulfilling His Program. And we will be glorified, we will have a glorified body; that is already in God’s Program since before the foundation of the world, and it has to materialize in us, because we were born to overcome.
And now, Saint Paul says:
“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
Remember that we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, and with Christ it is that we inherit; and with Him God will give us all things. To what He is heir, we are heirs also.
He is King of kings and Lord of lords, and we are kings with Him. He is the High Priest of the heavenly Temple, and we are priests with Him: We belong to the Priestly Order of Heaven, of the heavenly Temple.
And that Priestly Order is not the order of Levi, from which Aaron came, but it is the Order of Melchizedek; that is the heavenly Order. And of that heavenly Order He is King, and we are kings of the Order of Melchizedek.
He is also Judge, and we also with Him; that is why we will judge the world and even the angels, Saint Paul tells us. He says: “Do you not know that the saints will judge the world and even the angels?,11 the fallen angels.
Now, Saint Paul says:
“…how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
That is why, when the children of God commit some fault or sin, they confess it to Christ, repenting of having committed it, they cast those sins in the Blood of Christ, and they are removed; because the Blood of Christ cleanses us from all sin, and it is available to all of us 24 hours a day.
If the person doesn’t repent of his sins, he can’t confess them, because he would be asking for the forgiveness of his sins without having repented; and that doesn’t work.
Now, we can see that we have the Blood of Jesus Christ available to us 24 hours a day, so that we have clean garments all the time.
Just as we have soap and water to keep our body clean: Every day we use soap and water to keep our body clean, and also to wash our clothes; and if any stain sticks to it we put bleach on it, and it takes out the stain of the ink or something else. We don’t throw away our clothes because they are stained, but rather we wash them, we put bleach in the places where they need it; and the clothes remain clean and we continue using them. And Jesus Christ doesn’t throw us away because we have failed or sinned, but rather He has His Blood available to us 24 hours a day, for what? So that we have our garments clean and white all the time.
Now, we can see that we were born to overcome, and nothing will separate us from the love of God,12 which is in Christ Jesus; neither trouble, nor error, nor devil, nor angels, nor persecutions, nor sword, nor death, nor life either. All there is, will not turn us away from the love of God. In other words, God doesn’t cast us off. He loves us, and we will remain with Him for all eternity, because we were born to overcome.
“BORN TO OVERCOME.”
When one understands this, he doesn’t stop in his life: He continues forward serving Christ. He will never turn away from Christ, no matter what happens in his life; and he will say: “All things work together for good.” He fixes his life in whatever it is, and he fixes his problems, and he continues forward in his life.
And no matter what trials he has in life: He keeps going forward, because someday the trials will be over. When? When we have finished our testing stage, which is being in these mortal bodies.
When we are in the new body we will no longer have trial stages; everything will be happiness, everything will be eternity, without any problem; because in the new body all problems will be over. The problems are while we are in these mortal bodies, because we are being tested, but we are born to overcome.
“BORN TO OVERCOME,” to obtain the Great Victory in Divine Love, and to obtain immortality for all eternity.
May the blessings of Jesus Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, be upon you all and upon me also; and may the number of God’s elect soon be completed, and may we all soon be transformed, and may the dead in Christ be resurrected in eternal bodies, and may we all together be taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven. In the Eternal Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen.
May God bless you and keep you all.
