Good afternoon, beloved friends and brethren present, and ministers present.
Now, let’s begin the Bible study for today’s Sunday Bible school. To do that, let’s read in First Samuel, chapter 16, verses 1 to *14:
“And the Lord said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.
And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the Lord said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I am come to sacrifice to the Lord.
And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I name unto thee.
And Samuel did that which the Lord spake, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the Lord: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.
And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the Lord’s anointed is before him.
But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
Then Jesse called Abinadab, and made him pass before Samuel. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this.
Then Jesse made Shammah to pass by. And he said, Neither hath the Lord chosen this.
Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The Lord hath not chosen these.
And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him.”
The subject for today’s Bible school is: “DAVID, THE EIGHTH SON OF JESSE, ANOINTED AS KING OF ISRAEL.”
It’s important to know that David is a man after God’s own heart, and that he is a prophet, and that, as such, he has both consciouses together: prophets have their conscious and their subconscious together. That is why, even while they are awake, they can see with their subconscious, because they don’t have the barrier that ordinary human beings have.
That is why they see in other dimensions, they can hear the Voice of God, and they can see God in His manifestations, and the angels too. And the Scripture says that “the Lord God will do nothing without first revealing His secrets unto His servants, His prophets” (Amos, chapter 3, verse 7).
And also in Zechariah, chapter 7, verses 11 to 12, it says that Israel didn’t want to hear God. And how was He speaking to them, for Israel to hear God…? Chapter 7, verse 11 and on, says:
“But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.”
Here it establishes the way in which God spoke to the Hebrew people: He spoke to them through His Spirit by the prophets; because the Word comes to the prophets: “The Lord God will do nothing without first revealing His secrets unto His servants, His prophets.” That is why He sends them with both consciouses together, so they can hear the Voice of God and they can convey what God says to the people who are under the Covenant that is in effect at that time.
Israel was under the Covenant of the Law, therefore, Israel received from God the prophet-messengers relevant to the Dispensation of the Law.
And we find that David wasn’t only a king, but a prophet too; and therefore, God spoke to him, God led him, and God chose him to be king instead of Saul. And David was the eighth son of Jesse, born in Bethlehem of Judea, because the Christ would be born in Bethlehem of Judea;[1] therefore, David had to be from Bethlehem too.
And the Christ, the Messiah, would be born in the House of God’s Bread, which is Bethlehem, because Bethlehem is or means ‘the House of God’s Bread’; that is why Jesus Christ had to be born in Bethlehem too, because He said: “I am the Bread of Life; if any man eat of this Bread, he shall live forever.”[2]
And now, we find that David, being the eighth son of Jesse, is a type and figure of the coming King, a descendant of King David, in the end time. The coming King must be Jewish, and He must fulfill the type and figure of David; because David is a type and figure of the Prince Messiah who will come and rule over Israel and over all nations, the King who will restore the Kingdom of Israel and occupy the Throne of David. Therefore, it is important to know that David is the eighth son of Jesse, anointed as king of Israel.
Now, for the end time, the eighth son of the monarchy of the Son of David will appear; and that will be the Coming of the Son of Man at the end time, to claim the Throne and Kingdom of David, and to sit upon the Throne of David, and govern, rule over Israel and over all nations; with Its capital: Jerusalem; the Federal District: all of Israel.
And all the nations that will be saved during the great tribulation, will enter into the Kingdom of the Jewish Prince Messiah, and peace and happiness will flow from Jerusalem like a river to all nations.
He is the One who will bring permanent peace for Israel and for all nations. That is why we want the One who is represented in the eighth son of Jesse to appear, which will be the One anointed as King of Israel; and He must appear at this end time. The Jews are waiting for Him, Christianity is also waiting for Him.
There is a mystery, a secret. The greatest secret of the entire Bible is in the Coming of the Son of Man at the Last Day, to speak to Israel and to speak to Christianity as well.
How will He come? When will He come? And who will He be? That is the secret. All of that is within the Seventh Seal of Revelation, chapter 8, and chapter 10 of Revelation, the book that is like the book of the prophet Daniel; who also saw Him in chapter 7 coming and taking the rights of the Kingdom, the rights to Eternal Life, for the establishment of the Kingdom of David, the restoration of the Kingdom of David, which the disciples of Jesus Christ asked Jesus about in the book of Acts, chapter 1: “Lord, will You at this time restore again the Kingdom to Israel?” He said: “It is not for you to know.”
It was not for them to know; but it is for us to know, because we are in the time for the restoration of the Kingdom of David and Throne of David.
That is the only hope there is for the Jewish people and for all of mankind. Without that hope, life has no meaning. Life would be about working, sleeping, eating, letting the years go by, and then dying; and that is not life.
Life is the Lord, He is Life for every human being. And knowing the mysteries of the Lord, the Divine Program relevant to the time in which one lives, is the greatest privilege and blessing; because you are receiving the revelation of the Divine Program to be in the Divine Program; not living in ignorance of what God is doing on Earth.
It is important to be aware that the eighth son of Jesse, anointed as king of Israel, is a type and figure of the Prince Messiah, who will claim the Throne and Kingdom of David, and will establish the Kingdom of God on Earth; because the Kingdom of God on Earth is the Kingdom of David, and the earthly Throne of God is the Throne of David.
Therefore, it is important to know these mysteries of the Bible, so that we are not ignorant of what is happening in the Divine Program.
We must know that God is the King of the universe and that we are here with and for a Divine purpose. We aren’t here to waste time. We are here to enter into a Divine Program that will lead us to Eternal Life, to never die.
Therefore, it is important that we be alert, because the eighth son of Jesse, typified in David, will be revealed; and the Jews are going to receive Him. But, where will He come from? We will see that someday.
Let’s see here: First Chronicles, chapter 29, verses 22 and on, says:
“And did eat and drink before the Lord on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the Lord to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.
Then Solomon sat on the throne of the Lord as king instead of David his father…”
Which throne did Solomon sit on? On the throne of David, his father; and it says that is the Throne of God, the Throne of the Kingdom of God. In other words, the earthly Throne of God is the Throne of David, and the earthly Kingdom of God is the Kingdom of David.
That is why the Jews asked: “When will You restore…? Will You at this time restore again the kingdom of Israel?” because the kingdom of Israel or kingdom of David is the earthly Kingdom of God, and the throne of David is the earthly Throne of God, which is connected to the heavenly Throne of God and the heavenly Kingdom of God.
The representation of the heavenly Kingdom of God is the Throne of David and the Kingdom of David. As simple as that.
And there will be an eighth son of David; in other words, there will be an eighth son of Jesse, represented in David. David: The beloved. Bethlehem, Bethlehem of Judea: The House of God’s Bread.
Christianity is waiting for the Coming of the Lord. The Lord comes to His Church first, and then to the Jews; because the House of God’s Bread (which is Christ, the Bread of God, who said[3]: “I am the Bread of Life”) is in the Church, which is the spiritual House of God of the New Testament, of the New Covenant.
So, Christianity must open Its eyes, because the Coming of the Lord will first be fulfilled in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is the spiritual Temple of God and is the House of the Bread of Life; because Christ and His Church are one. His Church is the Mystical Body of Christ, and She is the One under the New Covenant, the New Testament.
Then He will reveal Himself to the Hebrew people. The Hebrew people will see Him, they will see the Coming of the Lord to His Church, and say: “This is the One we are waiting for!” They will then receive Him, and the Dispensation of the Kingdom will begin, which is what corresponds to the Jews, that overlap between the Dispensation of the Kingdom and the Dispensation of Grace. As simple as that.
But since it is a mystery, the greatest mystery of all mysteries, it remains sealed until that moment when God opens it and makes known that mystery of the Coming of the Lord, the Coming of the Son of Man at this end time to His Church and then to the Hebrew people.
Therefore, a time of preparation is coming for Christians and also for Jews, for them to prepare themselves for the Coming of the Lord, the Coming of the King of Israel, the Coming of which David is the type and figure as the eighth son of Jesse.
Remember that Christ said in Revelation, chapter 22, verse 16… Christ in Holy Spirit is the One who speaks in the book of Revelation, that is why it always says: “The Spirit says such-and-such a thing,” “The Spirit says…” And then it says: “The Spirit and the Bride say…” because the Church must repeat what Christ in Holy Spirit is saying to and in the midst of His Church. Chapter 22, verse 16, says:
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
Here we can see that Christ is the Root and Offspring of David. He is the Son of David. And at the Last Day, the manifestation of the Son of Man is promised in the midst of Christianity, and then in the midst of the Jews. That is the Coming of the Lord at the end time. There is a great mystery there.
Remember that Christ always said: “The Son of Man… the Son of Man…” It’s because as Son of Man, that title corresponds to a prophet; that is why as a prophet Christ identified Himself as the Son of Man.
And the promise is that the Son of Man will come in the clouds with His Angels, to call and gather the elect of the Hebrew people, which are 144,000 elect, 12,000 of each tribe; but first He comes and manifests Himself in the midst of His Church at this end time.
Christianity must be prepared for that event, must be very united; and the Jews as well; so that the Coming of the Son of Man is a blessing, they can identify Him, and they can receive the blessings that come in the Son of Man for the human beings at this end time.
“THE EIGHTH SON OF JESSE, ANOINTED AS KING OF ISRAEL.”
That has been the Bible school subject for today’s Sunday Bible school here in The Great Tent Cathedral, and for all those who are tuning into this broadcast by satellite or by internet.
Israel is waiting for the Son of David, the Prince Messiah, they are waiting for a man, a prophet, in whom those prophecies will be fulfilled; that is what Israel is waiting for.
“DAVID, THE EIGHTH SON OF JESSE, ANOINTED AS KING OF ISRAEL.”
That has been the subject of our Bible school for today, Sunday, February 19, 2017.
