Elijah Comes Before the Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord

Good afternoon, ministers and partners in the Mystical Body of Christ our Savior. It is a great blessing for me to be with you again on this occasion, to share some moments of fellowship with you around the Word of God and His Program pertaining to this end time.

We are conscious that we are at the end time, a time parallel to the time of Noah, and also to the time of Lot, a difficult time; difficult in all the aspects of the human being’s life.

And economically, mankind is suffering an economic crisis in all its nations; but we have to survive and find the way to have our family doing well, and be able to manage economically as well as possible. For this reason, it’s important to use the legal mechanisms available in our country, our nations. In other words, we have to work.

Always, since Genesis, we find that God established that man should work. After the fall, we find that by the sweat of his forehead he would sustain himself;¹ therefore, we have to work (and in hot places, one sweats more); but the effort has its reward.

Let’s read in Malachi chapter 4, verse 1 to 6, where it says:

“For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts.

Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.

Our subject for this occasion is very simple: ELIJAH COMES BEFORE THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD, OF JEHOVAH;” and we have in parenthesis: (who will make known to us —among the Divine mysteries— the mystery of the Great Tent Cathedral). Elijah will come first to restore His people to the original Word.

Because: out of all the prophets that God would send, we find that the last prophetic mysteries will be the ministry of the Messiah, the ministries of Moses and Elijah. Those are the ministries pertaining to the end time, which are promised for the people of God.

For the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, we have seen that the ministry of Elijah already came in North America, just as the ministry of Elijah came in the midst of the Hebrew people in John the Baptist forerunning the First Coming of Christ; likewise, the ministry of Elijah came for the fourth time forerunning the Second Coming of Christ.

It’s because the ministry of Elijah, since it is the ministry that the Holy Spirit has been operating since the days of Elijah the Tishbite… In Elijah the Tishbite: the ministry of Elijah for the first time. In Elisha: the ministry of Elijah for the second time in a double portion. In John the Baptist: operating for the third time to forerun the First Coming of Christ… This was what the Angel Gabriel spoke to the priest Zacharias about in Saint Luke chapter 1, and He told him that he would come (the son that Zacharias would have) in the spirit and power of Elijah.

Then for the fourth time, we find it coming —that ministry of Elijah operated by the Holy Spirit— in Rev. William Branham, to Christianity; to restore the believers in Christ (the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ) to the faith of the fathers (the children are the believers in Christ, and the faith of the fathers is the faith of the apostolic fathers), to how they believed in the time of the apostles, to the apostolic doctrine, which is portrayed in the book of Acts and also in the apostolic letters of Saint Paul, Saint Peter, and other apostles who wrote, and also in the book of Revelation.

And it is promised that the spirit of Elijah will come, the ministry of Elijah, that it will come to the Jews, accompanied by the ministry of Moses. The ministry of Elijah for the fifth time will come to the Jews at the end time; and the ministry of Moses for the third time, if we count the manifestation of the Holy Spirit sending a prophet like Moses, which was Jesus Christ; but if we don’t count that time, it would be coming to the Jews for the second time for a restoration, a revival from God, to be restored to the Divine Program, to the Word of God, to the Scriptures.

And thus, Israel will have a great spiritual revival at the end time, before the great tribulation or Jacob’s trouble comes, as it is mentioned in the Scripture: “Before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, behold I send you the prophet Elijah.” Malachi chapter 4.

That will be the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time, being sent to the Hebrew people; just like for the fourth time He sent it to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to restore Her to the faith of the apostolic fathers.

That is why Rev. William Branham was speaking about this ministry of Elijah for the fourth and fifth time; it is a ministry for restoration. Just like the ministry of Elijah for the first time restored the lost tribes to the Kingdom of God, for in those times or in that time they had inclined to idolatry and they had 450 prophets of Baal and 400 of the groves [Asherah],² which strayed the Hebrew people; and they had Jezebel and Ahab at the head. But God sent the prophet Elijah and showed him everything he had to do; and he did everything as God showed him (although…), it was at the end that he said he was acting according to what God showed him.

Anyone could see Elijah calling for a showdown, challenging the priests of Baal and the priests of the groves, and saying to them: “Each one take… you take a calf, a bullock, cut it into pieces to offer it to Baal; and I will take one, I will cut it into pieces and put it on the stones, I will put wood under it; and the God that answers by fire, let Him be God to Israel.”

They accepted the challenge. They didn’t have vision. And the showdown began. Elijah says to them: “Since you are many, you do it first.”

They cut their bullock and put it in the place for the sacrifice that they made to Baal; and they started to ask Baal to answer them by fire and consume the burnt sacrifice or offering that they had prepared; and nothing was happening. And they would cut their bodies, start to bleed; and nothing was happening.

And Elijah, the Scripture says that he would mock them; he would tell them: “Cry louder. Maybe he is taking a nap, resting; therefore, cry out so that he wakes up.” But nothing was happening.

Then, when it was the hour of the sacrifice, the hour to offer to God and for God to answer, Elijah took his place, and he says to the people: “If Baal is God, serve Baal. The God that answers by fire, let Him be God. And if the Lord is God, then serve God, serve the Lord.” The challenge was that whoever answered by fire, that would be God, the true God.”

Elijah cut – he placed the calf, the bullock, on the altar that had been – was broken down and now he had restored it, placing the twelve stones (which represent the twelve tribes of Israel); and he commanded them to pour water into the trench that was around the altar. When they poured it, then he says: “Pour it again.” Thus, they poured it again, and they poured about three times. And then Elijah cries out to God and asks Him to answer by fire, receiving the sacrifice and consuming the sacrifice.

And fire fell from heaven, and the sacrifice was consumed by the Divine fire; and all the people cried: “The Lord is God!”

That is how they were restored to God, to the faith of God. Which is a type and figure of what Elijah will do at this end time.

Just as the fourth Elijah did as well, by restoring the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ to the apostolic faith; that is how God will restore His people Israel to the true faith in the God of Israel. For which He will send Elijah: “before the coming of that dreadful day of the Lord”: the Great Tribulation.

Therefore, the Holy Spirit will be operating the ministry of Elijah for the fifth time, and the ministry of Moses for the second time (if we omit the time that He manifested Himself in Jesus) or for the third time (if we take into account that manifestation of the Holy Spirit in Jesus; a prophet like Moses, and even greater than Moses).

We are at the time for those prophecies to be fulfilled, both for Christianity and for the Jews. We also have the promise of the Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, where the ministry of Jesus will be repeated in the midst of the believers of Jesus Christ.

We also saw the ministry of Jesus operated in the different apostles and messengers of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in its different stages. We saw it in a wonderful way in Saint Paul and in Saint Peter as well, and we saw it in different messengers. And we saw it in a great way in Rev. William Branham: It was Christ working through him, the ministry of Christ operated by the Holy Spirit in Rev. William Branham. And it will be seen again, operated by the Holy Spirit, in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is the One that has the promise of the Second Coming of Christ. Christ will visit His Church at this end time to raise the dead in Christ who will come with Him in His Coming, when He finishes His Work of Intercession in Heaven, and becomes – leaves the Throne of Intercession, and becomes the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the King of kings and Lord of lords, crying as when a lion roars, and Seven Thunders uttering their Voices, and claiming everything He has redeemed with His precious Blood there on Calvary’s Cross.

He will take the Title Deed, the Seven-Sealed Book, which is the Lamb’s Book of Life; and He will open It and bring It to Earth to His Church. And thus, with that Book open, everything related to Christ and His Church will be known.

The Holy Spirit opened six seals, in other words, He made known the content of six Seals, but He didn’t say the content of the Seventh Seal, He didn’t reveal it, instead it remained closed; the Holy Spirit did not make known the mystery of the Seventh Seal; because that will be opened to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at this end time, to make known to Her the mystery of that Seventh Seal, the mystery of the Second Coming of Christ; and give Her the faith to be transformed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. And that will be fulfilled under the Third Pull that Rev. William Branham speaks of, where He will give them the faith to be transformed and raptured with Christ.

And the Third Pull, the Angel said to Rev. William Branham, will be in a little room, in a Great Tent Cathedral that there will be in the midst of Christianity; for there was preaching there, in the vision that was shown to Rev. William Branham, the Gospel of Christ was being preached there; and people were coming to Christ repented, receiving Him as Savior.³

And he was also shown that in the little room was… the Pillar of Fire whirled away to that little room; and that also, later on the Angel who accompanied Rev. William Branham also went there, and Rev. William Branham also went to that place. Remember that they were in spiritual bodies, a heavenly body.

And he saw sick people; in addition to those who received Christ, he then saw the part of the prayer for the sick, where they made a big, long line; and sick people being taken there, paralytic people as well as people of different – with different health problems, entering into that place, into that little room, through the front door; and coming out the side door healed.

Rev. William Branham was there seeing everything that was happening in that little room, and what was happening outside as well. And the Angel says to him: “Do you remember the Name that you were looking for that time you were there, in the little room?”⁴

What more important name could be there, than the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ? And what if It was the New Name? Because that is a stage that He called the Third Pull, the Angel called it the Third Pull, where God’s blessing will come in all His fullness in that full manifestation of the Lord Jesus Christ in the midst of His Church, in the stage pertaining to His Church at this end time.

Not for the first stage, which was there in Asia Minor with Saint Paul; nor in the second, third, fourth, fifth, or sixth stage, which was in Europe with different messengers that He sent; nor was it for the seventh age of the Church or seventh stage, which pertains to North America; but rather for the stage that would come or will come after the seventh stage (which pertained to North America). And just as the language relevant to each stage of the Church was used, the language relevant to the stage after the seventh age will also be used.

Rev. William Branham saw and heard; and he said that the Thunders spoke in a language unknown to him.⁵ It will be the language of the final manifestation of Christ, which He will use in the midst of the people where that stage will be fulfilled, and where the fulfillment of the Tent Vision will be seen, a giant Tent, where the manifestation of Christ will be in the midst of His people, His Church.

For the fulfillment of that stage, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ will be working hand in hand with the Holy Spirit and His last manifestation, in order for that vision to be fulfilled.

That is why Rev. William Branham was speaking about the way in which God works through Christ in the midst of His Church; and he tells us that just as God worked through Christ, Christ works through His Church. It will be Christ working through His Church at this end time. And if it will be Christ working through His Church at this end time, then we have to know that it will be Christ in Holy Spirit in the midst of His Church.

He has been in the midst of His Church the whole time, for He said: “I will be with you always,” (until when?) “even unto the end of the world.”⁶ And it will be through His Church that He will work.

And therefore, the Ones we will see working will be His Church: the members of the Mystical Body of Christ; just as we have seen Him working, Christ in Holy Spirit in the midst of His Church, through His different messengers, to whom God has gathered the group of each stage, of each age; and the messenger with that group has worked in the Work of Christ. That has been Christ working on this Earth through the members of His Mystical Body of believers.

That is always God’s way of working: It is Christ through His Church working according to what He promised.

Therefore, we won’t see Christ literally building a Great Tent Cathedral, rather we will see Christ manifested in and through His Church, using them for the construction of that Great Tent Cathedral, in the territory relevant to this end time.

But in that place the Holy Spirit, Christ in Holy Spirit, will be working: carrying out all of that work that was seen by Rev. William Branham, which the Angel showed him and said to him: “That will be – That is the Third Pull; and you won’t tell anyone anything.” In other words, he spoke too much, a lot, about that pull, compared to what the Angel told him.

Because when the first two pulls were shown to him, he made them known, and a lot of imitators emerged; and instead of the people’s eyes being fixed on the Holy Spirit working through Rev. William Branham, they looked to other preachers who didn’t guide them into all the Divine Program, into all truth.

On those occasions, those pulls were shown in a lake, and many beautiful fish, and so on; but now this pull, Third Pull, which he wasn’t able to carry out because he pulled the fishing line too soon, too hard, and what he caught was a fish so small that it looked like the bait that he had on the hook.

Then he is placed in another dimension, notice, he is taken to another higher dimension, where he is shown a Great Tent Cathedral; which, in symbolic or spiritual terms, also represents the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and physically, well, the construction of a giant building, which Rev. William Branham says was a tent or building (it had both qualities); where the Gospel of Christ was preached, altar calls were made to come to the Feet of Christ, and there was prayer for the sick.

He wasn’t shown the details of how or where it was built or that Great Tent Cathedral would be built, nor was he given many details, so that the imitators couldn’t make a perfect imitation; although, despite all that, there would be – there will be imitators.

The greatest thing about that Vision is that the Presence of the Pillar of Fire will be in that place, Christ in Holy Spirit will be in that place carrying out what was shown to Rev. William Branham.

The territory, the people, who will be working on that Divine project, will be blessed, where the blessing that was seen there will be upon that people; and from there it will spread to many other nations and peoples, and individuals, through the media: radio, press, and television; broadcasting… When it is in its total fulfillment it will come out in the press, it will come out on the radio and television.

That will be the greatest manifestation of Christ in the midst of His Church at the Last Day, which as a result will bring the faith to be transformed and raptured and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; because the faith for transformation and rapture is in the Seventh Seal, which the Thunders make known; in other words, the Voice of Christ speaking consecutively in the midst of His Bride-Church will make that mystery known.

Therefore, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ will have another visitation. She had one in the time of the apostles, She had one in the time of Saint Paul, She had one in Asia Minor, She had five in Europe (where He sent His five messengers), She had another one (the seventh one) in North America, where He sent the seventh messenger, Rev. William Branham; and She will have one in all His fullness at this end time, in the territory where the final stage of the Church will be in fulfillment, the stage that will take us to the transformation and rapture. And He will be speaking in the language of that territory; and from that it will be translated to other languages.

That is why Rev. William Branham said that the Third Pull was in an unknown language. The Voice of the Seven Thunders will be speaking in a language that Rev. William Branham would not know, meaning that it wouldn’t be English; it would be another language. It will be the language where the Tent Vision is being fulfilled.

Since the Coming of the Son of Man, of the Lord, will be with His Angels, which are the ministries of Moses and Elijah, we will also have Elijah there, and Moses, and Jesus. It will be a glorious manifestation of God through Christ at the Last Day, in which we have been given to live.

Therefore, as ministers of the Gospel of Christ: let’s be steadfast and working in the Work of the Lord always, “for our labor is not vain in the Lord.”⁷ Christ will reward every man according to his work. He says: “Behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”⁸

This will be happening before the Great Tribulation begins, it will be happening with the Church and in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and then it will be the Hebrew people’s turn to see. And they will exclaim: “This is what we are waiting for! And this is the One we are waiting for!” But He doesn’t come for them, rather He comes for His Church. And then it is their turn to recognize what God will have done in the midst of His Church and what He will be doing with the Jews.

They are also waiting for Elijah, Elijah forerunning, Elijah proclaiming the everlasting peace that will be brought by the Prince of Peace, the Prince Messiah (of Isaiah chapter 9). Therefore, they are watchful of what will be happening at this end time.

May God bless the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; and help and bless the Jews as well; and may He open their eyes at the relevant time, so that they see the Coming of the Son of Man with His Angels at this Last Day, as it is promised; and so that they see Elijah, who will be sent before the dreadful day of the Lord, the day that shall burn as an oven.

Remember that this is what is prophesied for mankind: the day that shall burn as an oven, the Great Tribulation. “But unto you that fear My Name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise, (which is Christ, for He said: ‘I am the Light of the world’⁹)… shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His Wings.” And the Sun of Righteousness will also rise for the Jews, according to Hosea chapter 6, verses 1 to 6. That is what Israel is waiting for.

Therefore, let’s also pray for Israel. Now, these days, in the Middle East they are living in a very, very difficult stage there.

We want peace for all the nations, we want deaths caused by wars to cease; and for that reason, we strive and work, so that peace comes to the human family.

Tomorrow we will be speaking about the subject: “Time to call out to God.”

Remember that the Scripture says: “Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great things.”¹⁰ Great and wonderful things are what God has promised to show His children.

“ELIJAH COMES BEFORE THE GREAT AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE LORD,” in other words, before the Great Tribulation. And it says everything he will do: he will carry out a work of restoration. That is what Jesus Christ Himself speaks to us about in Saint Matthew chapter 17, verse 10 and on. It says the following:

“And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.

But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.”

In other words, He is speaking about an Elijah who will come to restore; and then He speaks of the Elijah that already came (John the Baptist), who was the forerunner of the First Coming of Christ; and we find that they did with John whatever they wanted to do: they beheaded him.¹¹

Now, at the end time it is the time for restoration. That is why the book of Acts says, chapter 3, verse 17 and on, says:

“And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers,” (meaning, the crucifixion of Christ).

“But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”

And now, Heaven retains Christ until the times of the restitution or restoration of all things; a time in which Elijah will be carrying out the restoration of His Church, of the Church of the Lord, and then of the Hebrew people. That is why we saw the ministry of Elijah for the fourth time working in that restoration; and we will see it again for the restoration of all things, for – with the Hebrew people as well, for both a spiritual and a physical restoration, which is promised for this end time.

Therefore, let’s be alert and attentive hearing the Word of the Lord, and with our faith firmly put in Christ.

God will be fulfilling everything He has promised. We don’t want to miss what God has promised and will be fulfilling at this end time.

The Son of Man will come with His Angels, and on Mount Transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared, which are His Angels, His messengers relevant to the end time. In other words, the Coming of the Lord has Jesus, Moses, and Elijah. As simple as that. But we are not going to give details, because we don’t want the enemy to impersonate the things that God has promised to do at this end time.

Onward, fellow ministers in the Mystical Body of Christ; and may God through the Holy Spirit, through Christ in Holy Spirit, use you greatly in His Work at this end time; and may He help you to have the spiritual Food for Lord’s sheep at this end time. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
