Jesus Christ, the King of Peace

Good morning, beloved friends and brethren present, and ministers and their congregations who are present or in other countries. Warm greetings to Missionary Miguel Bermudez Marin there in Mexico, where he is, there in the Republic of Mexico, and to the congregation where he is. And greetings also to Minister Andrés Cruz Gallegos over there in Villahermosa, in La Voz de la Piedra Angular church in Villahermosa, and to all the ministers and brethren in the different congregations. And to Minister José Benjamín Pérez there in Puerto Rico, and to the entire congregation, the church there in Puerto Rico of the Great Tent Cathedral. And congratulations today, Mother’s Day, to all mothers in all the countries where they are commemorating Mother’s Day.

May God bless you greatly and use you greatly in the Divine Program pertaining to this end time. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

On this occasion, let’s read in Isaiah chapter 9, verse 1 to 7, where it tells us:

Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in,” (whose?), “her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations.

The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.

For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”

May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.

Our subject for today is: “JESUS CHRIST, THE KING OF PEACE.”

We have the promise of a King, a Prince of Peace who will bring peace to mankind. This Prince of Peace is the promised Messiah of the Hebrew people, who is promised to come at the end time to His Church, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, because that Prince of Peace is Jesus Christ our Savior. That is why we see Him coming two times.

In His First Coming, He came as Lamb of God to take our sins and take away our sins by dying on Calvary’s Cross, thus bearing our sins.

When John the Baptist saw Him, he said: “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”1 And when John and the disciples looked, they didn’t see a literal Lamb, they saw a young man who was about 30 years old, named Jesus.

John introduced Him correctly, because John the Baptist is the forerunner of His First Coming, and He had to introduce Him as Lamb, because He came to take our sins and die for us on Calvary’s Cross.

He was represented in the paschal lamb that every father of a Hebrew household sacrificed there in Egypt, when death was going to enter the homes of Egypt; in which and because of which the firstborn of every family would die.

If the firstborn son was there, he would die, and if the father was a firstborn, he would also die; but for the protection, for the preservation of the life of the Hebrew firstborn, God told Moses that every father of a household should sacrifice a lamb, which he would have set aside to, on that relevant day, be sacrificed, roasted and put in their home, with its blood applied on the lintels and doorposts of every Hebrew home.2

That is how simple the Divine Program was for the salvation, the preservation of the life of the firstborn. And Moses was the only one who had that revelation, because he received it from God to give it to the Hebrew people. Pharaoh and his wise men did not have that revelation; the revelation to escape from the judgment that would come upon the firstborn who lived in Egypt.

That is how the firstborn Hebrews escaped death, on the night of death; but the Pharaoh’s firstborn was not able to escape death, and the firstborn of the Egyptians were not able to escape it either.

And why is it that by simply applying the blood of the lamb on the door and the lintel of the doorposts of a Hebrew home, the firstborn Hebrews escaped, and the firstborn Egyptians were not able to escape? Because of the meaning of the sacrifice of that paschal lamb.

It is because it represented the death of Christ, the Firstborn of God and only begotten Son of God who would come to the world; He would be tried and He would die for the firstborn of God written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life, to preserve the life of those people who are written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life, called the firstborn of God, the first ones whom God thought of.

We were in Christ. Just as we were physically in our heavenly Father – in our earthly father, likewise, we were in Christ. And just like through the union of our father and our mother we have come to this earthly body; spiritually, through the union of Christ and His Church, we have been born in the Kingdom of God, we have been born again, we have been born to Eternal Life, we have been restored to Eternal Life.

That is why it is so important to be born again, which is why we hear the preaching of the Gospel of Christ, the faith of Christ is born in our soul, we receive Him as Savior, we are baptized in water in His Name, and He baptizes us with the Holy Spirit and Fire, and brings forth the new birth in us. That is how we are born in and to Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Christ our Savior.

And as the different stages of the Church pass, millions of people are born in the Kingdom of God, in the mystical Body of Christ, to live eternally with Christ in His Kingdom.

At this end time, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ will be completed. After the seven Church ages, comes the golden stage of the Church, which is the Age of the Cornerstone, parallel to the time in which Christ came to Earth two thousand years ago; when the Cornerstone, who is Christ, came to the Cornerstone Age of the Hebrew Church, which was under the Law.

For this end time, just as there was a forerunner of the First Coming of Christ, there was also a forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ; who, just like John the Baptist came in the Spirit and power of Elijah, and he was the third Elijah, meaning, the third prophet in whom the ministry of Elijah was manifested for the third time, likewise, he came to forerun the First Coming of Christ; another Elijah came to forerun the Second Coming of Christ, the fourth Elijah, another man in the Spirit and power of Elijah operated by the Holy Spirit, and that was Rev. William Branham.

Rev. William Branham, just as John the Baptist introduced Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God for His First Coming, for the Second Coming of Christ, Rev. William Branham introduces Him as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as King of kings and Lord of lords in His Claiming Work. He was to introduce what will be the Second Coming of Christ to carry out the Claiming Work over everything Christ has redeemed with His precious Blood.

At this end time will be when Christ will complete His Church, and then He will leave the Throne of Intercession, where He is as High Priest after the Order of Melchizedek, to take the Book sealed with Seven Seals, which is at the right hand of the Father, at the right hand of the One who is sitting on the Throne.

He, Christ, will change from High Priest to King, from Lamb to Lion, from Intercessor to Judge, in order to take the Book, as He is introduced by the elder, who tells John: “John, weep not. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, who has overcome, has prevailed to open the Book and to open the Seals thereof.” (Chapter 5 of Revelation.)

When John looked, he saw a Lamb; the elder didn’t see a Lion and John didn’t see a Lamb; they were both seeing the same person: John saw Him as the Lamb of God, which is Christ, as John the Baptist introduced Him, and the elder saw Him as the Lion of the tribe of Judah: Jesus Christ, changing from Lamb to Lion, to take the Book and open Its Seals, the Book of Redemption, the Lamb’s Book of Life, the Book where our names have been written before the foundation of the world.

Remember that our names are written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life. Hebrews chapter 12, verse 22 and on, says:

“…But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven

The General Assembly and Church of the firstborn which are written in Heaven is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, which gathers all the sons and daughters of God, all those who form the mystical Body of Christ; which are written, where? In Heaven.

“…and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.”

When a person knows that his name has been written in Heaven, in the Lamb’s Book of Life, before the foundation of the world, that gives him strength, spiritual encouragement, strength, to always carry on, serving the Lord.

That is the person of whom Christ said: “My sheep hear My Voice, and they follow Me, and I know them, and I give them Eternal Life; and they shall never perish. My Father, which gave them to Me, is greater than all, and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.” (Saint John chapter 10, verses 27 to 30.) And it says: “My Father and I are one.”

Also chapter 8, verses 47 to 48, of Saint John, says: “He that is of God hears God’s Voice.” And he who is not of God? Well, he doesn’t hear God’s Voice.

When a person hears the Gospel of Christ, he believes, the faith of Christ is born and he believes, he receives Him as Savior and is baptized in water in His Name, and Christ baptizes him with the Holy Spirit; the person has been born into the Kingdom of God, into the Kingdom of Christ.

That is what Christ spoke to Nicodemus about in chapter 3, verse 1 to 6, when He said: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God,” in other words, he cannot understand It. Nicodemus tells Him: “How can these things be? Can a man, when he is old, enter into his mother’s womb and be born?” Christ tells him: “Verily, verily, I say unto thee: Except a man be born of Water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God.” In other words, the way to enter into the Kingdom of God has been established.

That is why Christ commanded His disciples to go into all the world preaching the Gospel to every creature: “He that believes and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believes not shall be damned.” (Saint Mark chapter 16, verses 15 to 16.)

There aren’t many options. There is only one option for Eternal Life, to be saved, and that is: to hear the Gospel, believe, be baptized in water in the Name of the Lord, and receive the Spirit of Christ; and thus, the new birth is brought forth in the person.

That is the only way to become part of the mystical Body of Christ our Savior. That is the way in which the firstborn of God are born into the Kingdom of God, the ones written in Heaven, in the Lamb’s Book of Life; which, through Christ, upon being cleansed with the Blood of Christ, it says: “He has redeemed us to God by His blood; and He has made us unto our God kings and priests, and we will reign with Him.” We will reign for a thousand years and then for all eternity.

That is in Revelation chapter 1, verse 5 and on; and also Revelation chapter 5, verse 7 and on; and Revelation chapter 20, verses 4 to 6. It tells us there that we have been made kings and priests by Christ, in other words, the legislative power, the judicial power, and therefore the three powers of government belong to Christ and to His Church. The King will have all three relevant powers to reign, to rule upon this Earth, bringing peace to mankind.

No one else will be able to bring peace to mankind, except the Prince of Peace, who will have the executive, legislative, and judicial power. Because with the power… as the King, He has the legislative power; He also has the judicial power, as Judge. The legislative power is to establish the laws, and the executive power is to reign.

Therefore, since He has His Cabinet: the cabinet of the executive power, the cabinet of the legislative power, and the cabinet of the judicial power… which are the believers in Christ who form the group of kings, priests, and judges, redeemed by the Blood of Christ our Savior.

He is still making intercession as High Priest in Heaven, until the last of God’s elect of our time comes in, until he comes into the mystical Body of Christ our Savior.

That is why we evangelize, taking the Gospel of Christ to every place, so that the very last elect of God for this end time may be called.

And when the number is completed, Christ will leave the Throne of Intercession there in Heaven and He will carry out His Claiming Work; He will claim everyone He has redeemed with His precious Blood; and then there will no longer be mercy on the Throne of Intercession for anyone.

The rest of the people will have to face what will come: the Divine Judgment during the Great Tribulation, where the foolish virgins—or sleeping virgins, as they are called—will be purified, and where 144,000 Hebrews, 12,000 of each tribe, will be purified; and where the Earth will go through a time of purification in order to be prepared for the Millennial Kingdom of Christ.

We are still at a time where the judgments of the Great Tribulation are not falling yet, but we are seeing the signs that soon those apocalyptic judgments will come. But in the meantime, Christ continues to be on the Throne of Intercession, making intercession with His Blood for everyone who receives Him as their Savior; and also for all the believers, who sometimes make mistakes, commit faults or sins, and they confess them to Christ, and Christ intercedes for them and cleanses them from all sin with His Blood; and thus, He keeps them clean, and there is no sin in them: they are seen through the Blood of Christ.

Now, when will Christ leave the Intercessory Place as the High Priest, and become the Lion of the tribe of Judah? When the very last elect of God has come into the mystical Body of Christ our Savior; and that may happen at any moment.

When Christ leaves the Throne of Intercession, He will become the Lion of the tribe of Judah; not an animal, but the Lion of the tribe of Judah, or what the Lion of the tribe of Judah means, which is King of kings and Lord of lords; and then He will be as the Son of David.

That is why in Revelation chapter 22, verse 16, it says:

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”

The meaning of the Lion of the tribe of Judah is Christ: the King of kings and Lord of lords, to make His claim over everything He redeemed with His precious Blood, and to reign on this Earth over all human beings. He will have a Kingdom of peace that will last a thousand years, and then throughout eternity.

That Kingdom will grow, It will spread to all the nations; and therefore, peace will also spread to all nations; and therefore, war weapons will be turned into work tools for agriculture, livestock and other things relevant to the wellbeing of the human family.

They will not learn war anymore; meaning, they will no longer learn war;3 so, what will be taught? Peace; and therefore, the happiness of the human being.

In Revelation chapter 5, the elder introduces Him to John as the Lion; Revelation chapter 5, verse 5 and on, says:

And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.”

Here we see Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah; in other words, there He had already changed from Lamb to Lion. The elder says it is a Lion, when John looks he sees a Lamb; because John knew Christ as the Lamb of God who came to take away the sin of the world; he didn’t know Him as Lion. He is being introduced to him there (to John) as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, Christ presenting Himself to take the Book out of the right hand of the One sitting on the Throne.

In Revelation chapter 6 and on, He opens each of the Seals; in Revelation chapter 8, He opens the Seventh Seal; and when the Seventh Seal is opened in Heaven, notice what happened:

And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”

Each of those Seals, or what is behind each of those Seals, pertains to things that would happen among mankind. Once each one of those Seals are opened, we see the meaning of each Seal; and therefore, we see the history of what happened under the fulfillment of each Seal; but when the Seventh Seal was opened, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.

Now, remember that the Fourth Seal pertains to the end time; so is the Fifth Seal; the Sixth Seal as well, which are Moses and Elijah opening the Sixth Seal; in other words, the Sixth Seal will contain the history of the ministries of Moses and Elijah with everything they will have carried out, and with the people, the individuals, with whom that Seal will be fulfilled. That Seal will have a global impact.

Now, the Seventh Seal contains the biggest mystery in the Bible: it contains the mystery of the Second Coming of Christ. That is why when it was opened in Heaven there was silence for about half an hour, so that no one would know what the Seventh Seal is and the fulfillment of the Seventh Seal could not be interrupted.

But it will be revealed in the Third Pull, which Rev. William Branham said would be fulfilled in a Great Tent Cathedral, where the Angel of the Covenant will be in that Pillar of Fire working and speaking to the people as He is accustomed to doing from age to age and from dispensation to dispensation.

The Seventh Seal is that of which Christ said that not even the angels know, nor even… He said: “Not even the Son knows.”4 He is referring to the Coming of the Lord at the end time. That mystery is hidden under the Seventh Seal, but it will be revealed to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, that is what will give Her the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Just as He spoke in the midst of the Hebrew Church under the Law, through His different prophet messengers, of whom John the Baptist was the last, and then appeared the Messiah, Christ, whom he prepared the way for… who also spoke through Christ, and who also spoke through the apostles, and who also spoke through each messenger of each age; at this end time, He will be speaking consecutively with that Noise of Thunder as when a Lion roars and Seven Thunders uttering their Voices, speaking to His Church at the Last Day everything that the Church needs to know to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

It’s the Thunders, the Voice of Christ thundering, speaking consecutively, that will give the faith to every believer in Christ to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

That is why Rev. William Branham spoke about the Thunders and said that the Thunders will give the Church rapturing faith. Page 148 of the book of The Seals says:

[258] Oh, my! Seven Thunders of Revelation! May He show the Bride how to prepare for the great translation faith!”

And the Thunders are the Voice of Christ speaking to His Church as Lion, as King of kings and Lord of lords, in His Claiming Work. In other words, the change from Lamb to Lion will be a great blessing for all the believers in Christ, because they will hear Christ as Lion, as King, as Son of David, and as Son of Man. Therefore, there is a great blessing for the believers in Christ who live at this end time.

In Revelation, chapter 17, verse 14, it says… speaking about the antichrist and his kingdom together with those who will be allied with the antichrist, it says… chapter 17, verse 11 and on, says:

And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.”

When Christ changes from Lion – from Lamb to Lion, we find that there comes a persecution of the beast and his allies, against Christ and His Church; but Christ will obtain the victory against the beast and his allies, because at that time Christ will be Lord of lords and King of kings. In other words, He will change from Lamb to Lion.

Also here in Revelation chapter 19, verse 11 and on, it shows us Christ as King, as Lion; it says:

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.”

“A Name written that no man knew…” He says in Revelation chapter 2, verse 17; and chapter 3, verse 12; that He would write upon the overcomer the Name of God, the Name of the City of His God, and His New Name. In other words, the New Name is the Name of Christ as Lion, as King of kings and Lord of lords. A Name that only He knows.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean,(that is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ coming with Christ in His Coming).

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron,” (the Sword that comes out of His mouth is the creative Word of God), “and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”

Who is the King of kings and Lord of lords? The Lord Jesus Christ, which is the Prince of Peace, who will sit on the Throne of David and reign over Israel and over all nations. His Kingdom will have Jerusalem as Capital, and the whole territory of Israel as the Federal District. The Throne of the Messiah, the Throne of God on Earth, called the Throne of David, will be there. I will also be there, and who else? Each one of you too!

Because the believers in Christ are the Cabinet of the Kingdom of the Messiah; the Cabinet of the Kingdom of the Messiah to rule over the whole planet Earth, as members of the executive power, as members of the legislative power, and as members of the judicial power.

Remember that Christ is the Chief Justice, whom God ordained to be the Judge of the living and dead;5 and the believers in Christ are also judges. Saint Paul says in First Corinthians chapter 6: “Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world and even the angels?” In order to judge, they must be judges, they must belong to the judicial power.

With Christ as President, as the Head, as the Chief Justice of that Court, of that judicial power, the believers in Christ will judge the world and even the angels.

Therefore, the believers in Christ have the highest position in Heaven and on Earth. The Scripture says that “He has made us,” not that we have made ourselves. “He has made us kings and priests unto God.” Therefore, it is something that was in God’s Mind before the foundation of the world.

We are the first people He thought of, that is why we are God’s firstborn. Even if millions of human beings have been born on Earth before us, we are the firstborn.

Since Jesus Christ is the King of Peace, He is the One who will bring permanent peace to mankind. That is why Elijah in his fifth manifestation will come proclaiming the permanent peace that Christ will bring to Earth in His Coming, and the establishment of His Millennial Kingdom.

And where will Elijah appear in His fifth manifestation? Elijah in his fourth manifestation was in the midst of Christianity; therefore, the ministry of Elijah in his fifth manifestation will appear again in the midst of Christianity; and the ministry of Moses in his third manifestation (if we count Moses, Jesus, and the Moses who must come at this end time). It won’t literally be Moses, it will be another man; and it won’t literally be Elijah, rather, it will be a man of the end time.

That is the order seen on Mount Transfiguration, showing what will be the Coming of the Lord coming to His Kingdom; and His Kingdom is His Church.

Therefore, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ at the end time will be waiting for His Coming; and joyfully receiving the Word of the Lord; and preparing Herself for the Coming of the Lord, when He changes from Lamb to Lion, changes from High Priest to King and Judge.

Jesus Christ, therefore, is the King of Peace. He is our Savior who brings peace here: to our soul; and when He literally reigns on Earth, He will bring peace to all mankind.

Because He is reigning in our heart, in our soul: He has brought peace to our soul, to our heart. “My peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you. Not as the world gives, give I unto you.”6 He doesn’t give it like the Gentile kingdom does; therefore, He gives it to the heart, to the soul of the person; and when He establishes His Kingdom on Earth literally, He will bring peace to all the nations.

May God bless you; and continue having a happy evening, filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior; and we will continue seeing each other throughout all eternity.

May God bless you and keep you all.

JESUS CHRIST, THE KING OF PEACE.”
