Good morning, beloved friends and brethren present, and those who are in different countries, ministers and their congregations; and also missionary Dr. Miguel Bermúdez Marín, there in Barcelona, Venezuela, in the congregation over there pastored by Rev. Jesús Barroyeta. Greetings to Rev. Jesús Barroyeta as well, and the congregation there in Barcelona.
On this occasion, we will read in Exodus chapter 23, verses 20… Chapter 23, verse 20 and on, and it says:
“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.
But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.
For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.
Our subject for this occasion is: “OBEYING THE VOICE OF THE ONE SENT AT EACH TIME.”
It is important to know how God speaks to His people in each dispensation and in each age relevant to each dispensation; because everyone wishes to hear the Voice of God, and for that we are required to know how God speaks at the time in which a person is given to live.
In Zechariah chapter 7, verse 11 and on, it says:
“But they refused to hearken, and pulled away the shoulder, and stopped their ears, that they should not hear.
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the Lord of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the Lord of hosts.”
Here it shows us the way that God speaks. He speaks by His Spirit through His prophets that He sends from age to age and from dispensation to dispensation. It is important to know that, in order to be able to locate the Voice of God at the time in which each person is given to live on this Earth.
Also, in Amos chapter 3, verse 7, it says:
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.”
It is God through His Spirit speaking through His prophets to His people, to His people who are in the Covenant relevant to that time, and therefore, the relevant dispensation and age in which they are given to live.
Now, we find that God speaks through His Spirit, meaning, through the Angel of the Covenant, which is the Holy Spirit, which is the image of the living God, which is the heavenly body of God, who appears on different occasions in a Pillar of Fire; and on other occasions appears as an Angel, as a Man from another dimension.
We find that this Angel of the Covenant or Angel of the Lord or Angel of God, is the heavenly body of God, and therefore, the image of the living God. And in plain words, the image of God is Christ in His heavenly body. The Apostle Paul also says that in Hebrews chapter 1, verse 1 to 3, where it says:
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets…”
How did God speak? By the prophets; because the prophets are the physical body of flesh through which God is there in His heavenly body, veiled in the body of flesh called a prophet, from age to age and from dispensation to dispensation, to speak to His people what pertains to each age and each dispensation.
“… Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds…”
And in the days of Jesus, God spoke through His Son Jesus, the veil of flesh in which God was in all His fullness, where God was in Soul and Spirit, where the Father was, and where the Angel of the Covenant, the Holy Spirit, was veiled in the veil of flesh called Jesus. That is why Jesus said: “The Father that dwells in Me, He does the works.”1 That is why He is Emmanuel, God with us.2
It was through Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, the Holy Spirit, that God created the whole universe. It was made, created by Him and for Him.3
The Holy Spirit, which is the Angel of the Covenant, the heavenly body of God, is the image of God; and the body of flesh, called Jesus, which is already glorified, is the physical likeness of God, through which He manifested Himself two thousand years ago in the land of Israel. It was God made flesh, as Saint Paul says in First Timothy chapter 3, verses 14 to 16: “Great is the mystery of godliness: God has been manifested in the flesh.”
The time of the Coming of Christ two thousand years ago is where God was seen in the form of a man named Jesus. And God glorified Jesus Christ, and that is why He is sitting at the right hand of God on God’s Throne in Heaven; and therefore, all power has been given to Christ in Heaven and on Earth, as He said in Saint Matthew chapter 28, verses 16 to 20, when He says: “All power is given unto Me in Heaven and on Earth.”
Let’s continue reading here, in Hebrews chapter 1, verse 3, let’s continue:
“… Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high…”
God through Christ in His heavenly body created the Heavens and the Earth. Christ in His heavenly body is the Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Covenant; for it was the Angel of the Covenant that was promised to come to Israel.
Therefore… Notice, Malachi chapter 3; it says:
“Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me,” (that was John the Baptist, forerunning or preparing the way for the Messiah in His First Coming), “and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.”
Who would come? God, the Angel of the Covenant, meaning, God in His heavenly body.
That is why in the Old Testament Jacob tells us: “I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” Chapter 32, verses 24 to 32 of Genesis. And this was when Jacob wrestled with the Angel of the Lord, and didn’t let Him go until the Angel blessed him by changing his name from Jacob to Israel; and Jacob obtained the victory there. Just as God also changed Abraham’s name by adding a letter to it, to change it from Abram to Abraham; and for Sarah: from Sarai to Sarah, so that the promised son could come.4
This matter of name changes made by God is according to the Word of God for the people.
We also find that God promises to write His Name upon the Overcomer; and that is also Biblical, it is in the Book of Revelation.
And also when Jesus ascended victorious to Heaven, He received a New Name, and that is why in Revelation chapter 19, He appears with a Name that no man knows but He Himself. Chapter 19, verses 11 and on, says:
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war,” (that is Christ),
“His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.”
The name is not Jesus, because all Christians know the name Jesus, and people who are non-believers too, by reading the Bible or reading the history of Israel. This is one of the great secrets of the Bible: the New Name of the Lord.
“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God,” (the Word),
“And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword,” (the Sword is the Word), “that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron,” (in other words, He will govern them with a rod of iron), “and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”
In other words, the One who comes on that white horse is Christ in His Second Coming, as King of kings and Lord of lords; and He comes with a Name that no one understands but He Himself.
Also, in Revelation chapter 2, verse 17, He tells us that He has a New Name, and He says it Himself through His Spirit. Chapter 2, verse 17 of Revelation, says:
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches…”
In other words, it is the Holy Spirit in the midst of His Church speaking, revealing these things that are here in the Book of Revelation.
“To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written…”
In other words, it’s not the name Jesus, but a new name. It’s the New Name of the Lord to be given to the Overcomer.
“… and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it,” (in other words, he that receives It will be the One who will know that Name).
And in chapter 3, verse 12, of Revelation, it says:
“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and (and) I will write upon him my new name.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
It is Christ through His Spirit who says that He has a New Name, which He will write upon the Overcomer. And if Christ says so, that’s how it is, and the Name of God, the Name of the City of God and His New Name will be written upon the Overcomer.
Mankind will know God with His Name, with the New Name of the Lord. That Name and with that Name He will carry out His Claiming Work at the Last Day.
When we are in the New Jerusalem we will know clearly everything related to that Name; even when we are in the pull… the Third Pull, where the Seventh Seal will be opened to the public… and the Seventh Seal is the Coming of the Lord; we will know the Coming of the Lord with His New Name, to give us the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Remember, all the believers in the God of Israel have wanted to know the Name of God. For example, in Genesis chapter 32, Jacob wanted to know the Name of God, the Name of the Angel of the Covenant, and it says the following… This was when Jacob wrestled with the Angel of God. Chapter 32, verse 24 and on, of Genesis says:
“And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.”
Now notice that there was a name change for the overcomer. And the promise of Revelation chapter 3, verse 12, says:
“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Here the name change is for the Overcomer.
And now let’s continue, verse 29 says [Genesis 32]:
“And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.”
He says that he saw God face to face. He wanted to know the Angel’s Name, but the Name of the Angel was not revealed to him.
In Judges chapter 13, when Manoah met the Angel of God in chapter 13, verse 15 and on, it says… This is when He promised that Manoah and his wife would have a son, and they would name him Samson. Chapter 13, verse 15 of Judges:
“And Manoah said unto the angel of the Lord, I pray thee, let us detain thee, until we shall have made ready a kid for thee.”
Remember that Manoah knew the Bible and he knew that on one occasion three angels: Elohim (or God) and His Archangels Gabriel and Michael, visited Abraham, the father of faith; and Abraham prepared them a tender calf, and they ate; and he also made them cakes, tortillas, and he gave them butter as well; and they ate with Abraham.5
Now, here he is offering Him a meal, but notice what the Angel says to him. Verse 16, of this 13th chapter of Judges:
“And the angel of the Lord said unto Manoah, Though thou detain me, I will not eat of thy bread: and if thou wilt offer a burnt offering, thou must offer it unto the Lord. For Manoah knew not that he was an angel of the Lord.
And Manoah said unto the angel of the Lord, What is thy name, that when thy sayings come to pass we may do thee honour?
And the angel of the Lord said unto him, Why askest thou thus after my name, seeing it is secret?
So Manoah took a kid with a meat offering, and offered it upon a rock unto the Lord: and the angel did wonderously; and Manoah and his wife looked on.
For it came to pass, when the flame went up toward heaven from off the altar, that the angel of the Lord ascended in the flame of the altar. And Manoah and his wife looked on it, and fell on their faces to the ground.
But the angel of the Lord did no more appear to Manoah and to his wife. Then Manoah knew that he was an angel of the Lord.
And Manoah said unto his wife, We shall surely die, because we have seen God.
But his wife said unto him, If the Lord were pleased to kill us, he would not have received a burnt offering and a meat offering at our hands, neither would he have shewed us all these things, nor would as at this time have told us such things as these.
And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him.
And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.”
Here we can see that Manoah and his wife didn’t know that was the Angel of the Lord.
And Him being the Angel of the Lord means what? That it is the theophanic body, the heavenly body of God, which God is in. In plain words, He is the image of God.
Remember that God created the human being in His image and likeness, it tells us in chapter 1, verses 26 to 28 of Genesis.
The image is the spirit or spiritual body, because a spirit is a spiritual body from another dimension; and the likeness is the physical body that everyone has. And when God manifests Himself in the physical likeness, He appears as a Man in the midst of the people who are under the Covenant that is in effect at that time.
We also find that the Angel of God appeared to other people. We have the case of chapter 6, verse 11, of the Book of Judges; He appeared to one of the judges of Israel. Samson also became one of the judges of Israel. God reigned over Israel through judges.
This was when He appeared to Gideon: Chapter 6, verse 11 and on, says:
“And there came an angel of the Lord, and sat under an oak which was in Ophrah, that pertained unto Joash the Abiezrite: and his son Gideon threshed wheat by the winepress, to hide it from the Midianites.
And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him, and said unto him, The Lord is with thee, thou mighty man of valour.
And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the Lord be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying, Did not the Lord bring us up from Egypt? but now the Lord hath forsaken us, and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.
And the Lord looked upon him…”
Look at how it says that the Angel of the Lord… Notice how it says that the Angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and spoke with Gideon. But now take a deeper look at who appeared to Gideon:
“And the Lord looked upon him, and said…”
Now he is identifying who is the One inside the body of the Angel of the Lord; because the Angel is the heavenly or theophanic body, the image of God, but the One inside that heavenly body is God.
That is why in Exodus chapter 3, when He appeared to Moses, the Bible also says that the Angel of the Lord appeared to Moses in a burning bush. And then it says that the Lord spoke to Moses and told him that He had come down to deliver Israel.6
Now, notice how on some occasions it says that the Angel spoke to him, and other times it says that the Lord spoke to him. It’s because God speaks through His heavenly body; and when He becomes flesh, He speaks through His heavenly body through the body of flesh. Just as you and I are a living soul but we speak through our spiritual body, which is our spirit; we speak with other people through our body of flesh.
“And the Lord looked upon him…” Verse 14:
“And the Lord looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?
And he said unto him, Oh my Lord, wherewith shall I save Israel? behold, my family is poor in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.
And the Lord said unto him…”
See how now it says, “The Lord said unto him”? It doesn’t say: “The Angel said unto him,” but rather, “The Lord said unto him,” because God is speaking through His Angel, the Angel of the Covenant, the heavenly body of God, which is the image of the living God.
That is why the Scripture says in Saint John chapter 1, verse 18: “No man has seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, He hath declared Him.”
In other words, through the Angel of the Covenant, who is Christ in His heavenly body, God veiled and revealed Himself to His people. It was through His heavenly body, the Angel of the Covenant, the Word, which created Heaven and Earth: “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made.”
“And the Lord said unto him, Surely I will be with thee, and thou shalt smite the Midianites as one man.
And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign that thou talkest with me.
Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring forth my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again.
And Gideon went in, and made ready a kid, and unleavened cakes of an ephah of flour: the flesh he put in a basket, and he put the broth in a pot, and brought it out unto him under the oak, and presented it.
And the angel of God said unto him, Take the flesh and the unleavened cakes, and lay them upon this rock, and pour out the broth. And he did so.
Then the angel of the Lord put forth the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the Lord departed out of his sight.
And when Gideon perceived that he was an angel of the Lord, Gideon said, Alas, O Lord God! for because I have seen an angel of the Lord face to face.
And the Lord said unto him, Peace be unto thee; fear not: thou shalt not die.”
Now, notice how God manifested Himself through the Angel, through His heavenly body, theophanic body, which is the Holy Spirit. Let’s remember that Christ said in Saint Matthew chapter 28, verses 16 to 20: “I will be with you always, even unto the end of the world.” And He also said in Matthew 18, verse 20: “Where two or three are gathered together in My Name, I will be there.”
And how has He been there? In Holy Spirit. It is the Angel of the Covenant, Christ in His heavenly body; and He has been bringing forth the new birth in millions of people who have received Christ as their only and sufficient Savior.
Now, we have seen that the Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord, is Christ in Holy Spirit, in His heavenly body in the midst of His Church, just as He was in the midst of the Hebrew people and veiled Himself; in other words, He was in the prophets, and through the prophets He was speaking to Israel. He had not yet created the physical body for Himself, which was later created in the womb of the virgin Mary.
We find that Jesus Christ is the Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of the Lord in His heavenly body and in the physical body too. The physical body is the physical likeness of God, the heavenly body is the image of the living God.
That is why Christ is the One through whom God has created the Heavens and the Earth, and He is the Heir to all Creation. And the believers in Christ are joint heirs with Christ;7 they are part of Christ, they come from Christ, the Angel of the Covenant; and that is why Christ Himself said that in the resurrection they will be as the angels, who neither marry, nor are given in marriage.8
Now Manoa and also Gideon, also Jacob, also Abraham and the other prophets, heard the Voice of God and were instruments of God for God to speak through them; and they communicated to the Covenant people what God said to them; they spoke anointed by the Holy Spirit; in other words, the Holy Spirit in them speaking to the people.
The veil of flesh has always been the cause of people’s stumbling. Even in the Coming of the Angel of the Covenant in His physical body called Jesus, they stumbled, Christ being the Cornerstone,9 the Stone that became the stumbling block for the Hebrew people.
Therefore, it is important to know the way God works and speaks to His people, in order to not stumble in the time in which a person is given to live; because God has always veiled Himself in a body of flesh, to speak through that instrument what He must say to His people at each time. As simple as that.
Christ Himself also said on one occasion that He did not speak or do anything of Himself, but as He saw the Father worked, that is how he worked.10 In other words, just like you and I who are living souls, operate through our spirit, and through our spirit we work through the physical body.
When a person dies, the person’s soul and spirit come out; and the physical body is left without life. Because the spirit and the soul are the life in the physical body.
And now, we have to understand that we all need to know the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, and to hear His Voice; because that is where God’s blessing is: in hearing His Voice and obeying His Voice. And He tells us that His Name is in the Angel.
And when He came in human flesh, the Name for Redemption was in the veil of flesh in whom God was veiled and revealed in all His fullness in the fulfillment of His First Coming. And for the fulfillment of His Second Coming, He will have and will come with His New Name, as it is promised.
It is a mystery, it is one of the greatest mysteries of the Bible, because that will be in the manifestation, in the fulfillment of the Seventh Seal, which is the Second Coming of Christ.
There will be a people obeying the Voice of the One sent at this time, just as there was a people hearing the Voice of the One sent, of the Angel of the Covenant in the messenger relevant to each time. Because in order for God to speak to His people through the Angel of the Covenant, through His Spirit, He has always used a veil of flesh.
That is shown in Zechariah chapter 7, verse 11 to 12, which we read a moment ago.
It is important to know the way God works, the way God reveals Himself and speaks to His people of the Covenant that is in effect at that time.
“But they refused to hearken…”
They refused to hear what? The Voice of God through the prophets He sent.
A great wrath from God came upon those who did not hear the Voice of God, of the Angel of the Covenant, speaking through the prophets.
“Surely the Lord God will do nothing without first revealing His secrets unto His servants, His prophets.” (Amos chapter 3, verse 7.)
And then, through them, the Holy Spirit speaks to the people everything that the people must know at that time. And God expects the people to obey His Voice spoken by the Holy Spirit through His prophets. As simple as that.
Whenever God is going to speak to the people, He will always have a veil of flesh through which He veils Himself; in other words, He enters into it, and veils Himself there; and through that veil of flesh, He reveals Himself to the people. That is how it was through every messenger of the Gentile Church from age to age. That is how it was through Saint Paul and the other messengers up to Rev. William Branham.
And that is how it will be at this end time in the Age of the Cornerstone. As God worked in the past, He works, He will work also in the present.
In the present it will be God speaking consecutively (in other words, speaking without pausing). And that is Christ, the Mighty Angel who comes down from Heaven, crying as when a lion roars and Seven Thunders uttering their Voices.
That is the Voice of the Mighty Angel, of Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, speaking consecutively to His Church in a stage, in a Church age, the Age of the Cornerstone, at the Last Day; and revealing to Her what the Church needs in order to have the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Therefore, we will be hearing His Voice at this end time, and obeying His Voice, working in God’s Program pertaining to this end time; and receiving the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. In other words, there is a great blessing for the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ for this end time.
Therefore, His Bride-Church will be obeying the Voice of the One sent of the Last Day, just as the Bride-Church of the Lord Jesus Christ from age to age has been obeying the Voice of the One sent at each time, in each age. “OBEYING THE VOICE OF THE ONE SENT IN EACH TIME, IN EACH AGE.”
As it was in the past, so will it be at this end time.
It is important to be attentive to the Voice of God, and to know the One sent by God through whom He will be speaking at this end time. Just like in the time of Saint Paul they had to be attentive to understand that Saint Paul was the one sent by God, through whom God was speaking to the Gentiles, and putting them into the Kingdom of God.
That is how it has been from age to age, and that is how it is for this end time; until we all come to know the mystery of the Seventh Seal, in other words, of the Second Coming of Christ to His Church; which Christ will make known to us through His Voice by speaking to us at this end time; which will be the Voice of Christ speaking consecutively, shown in Seven Thunders. And the Seven Thunders are the Voice of Christ speaking consecutively and revealing the whole mystery pertaining to this end time; the whole mystery of the Second Coming of Christ and His Program pertaining to this end time.
Therefore, let’s obey the Voice of the One sent of the Last Day, as it has been from age to age, where the people have been obeying the Voice of the One sent in each age.
It has been a great privilege and blessing for me to be with you on this occasion, testifying to you about our subject, of our Bible study: “OBEYING THE VOICE OF THE ONE SENT AT EACH TIME.” Because that is the Voice of God through the Angel of the Covenant in the messenger of each time, through whom He speaks to His Church from age to age, from stage to stage, and thus calls and gathers the elect of each age.
May God bless you and keep you; and pray a lot for the Friday and Sunday services. We expect great blessings from God.
Remember that the faith for the rapture, the revelation for the rapture, will come through the revelation, through the teaching of the Word of the Lord; and it will revolve around the Second Coming of Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as King of kings and Lord of lords with His New Name, in the Claiming Work.
I am telling you something in advance related to the revelation, to the faith to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Around that Word, that revelation, we receive the faith, the revelation for our transformation. Around that revealed Word the new body that we shall receive will be materialized. As simple as that.
And that will be our transformation; and those who died: the resurrection in eternal bodies. That will be the glorification of the believers in Christ who will receive the eternal, immortal, incorruptible, and glorified body, just like the glorified body that Jesus Christ our Savior has; and young for all eternity.
A short introduction for Friday. And on Friday, we will have the introduction for next Sunday, God willing.
May God bless you and keep you; and continue having a joyful evening, filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior.
I will leave Rev. José Benjamín Pérez with you, and in each country I will leave the relevant minister to continue.
God bless and keep you; and continue having a joyful evening, filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior.
