Good evening, beloved friends and brethren present. It is a great blessing for me to be with you on this occasion, to share with you some moments of fellowship around the Word of God and His Program relevant to this end time.
God tells us through the apostle Saint Paul in his letter to the Romans, chapter 8, verses 14 and on:
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.”
May God bless our souls and allow us to understand His Word, open His Word to us, and teach us according to His promise by saying1: “And everyone will be taught of God.” In the Eternal Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen.
In this passage that we have read, we have seen Saint Paul here speaking to us about the adoption, and he tells us that we have received the spirit of adoption, “whereby we cry, Abba, Father”
And that will be the greatest event after the event of the Second Coming of Christ; for in the event of the Second Coming of Christ there are a number of events that will be carried out, among which is the calling and gathering of the elect, and also the work that the elect will be doing in this end time, and also the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of us who are alive.
This is all included in and for the Coming of the Lord. All these things depend on the Second Coming of Christ.
“THE ADOPTION OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.” That is our subject: “THE ADOPTION OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.”
In order to understand the Scripture that speaks of the adoption of the children of God, we have to remember Jesus Christ, who was adopted, and there we have the pattern or example of what will be the adoption of all the sons and daughters of God.
First, to begin with: the person who will be adopted has to be a son or daughter of God; because the adoption is not for the servants, it is not for the slaves, it is not for the unbelievers, but the adoption is for the sons and daughters of God; and the adoption, notice, for all the children of God as the Mystical Body of believers; and see also what is the adoption of a child of God as God’s messenger.
Since all God’s messengers are represented in Christ and also all believers in Jesus Christ, the example is Jesus Christ. He is the Firstborn of God, He is the Son of God, He is the prophet messenger for the dispensation where that adoption will take place; for the adoption, notice, it would take place in the first century of the fifth millennium and in the first century of the Dispensation of Grace.
And now, as a messenger it was Jesus, the Son of God, the Firstborn of God, the son who came through a virgin (as it was promised)2, and He is also the one who had the messianic ministry; that is inevitable for the adoption of a son of God as a messenger; and He also had the Messianic Message for that time. Those two things are indispensable.
And he was the Anointed One of the Spirit of God as the messenger for that dispensation. And he was also the messenger who became a disciple of the forerunner, the last prophet of the previous dispensation, who had come to his end.
Even the first letter was the same. And they also had more letters: they also had the “u”, they both had it. What else did they have?
[A brother’s intervention: The “s”]. Where is the “s” of John? It has to be in another language…, it has to be in Hebrew, because in Hebrew they use many “h” and “s.” Therefore…
In Hebrew, if we look, for example, in… (and the “s” probably)… Because Jesus in Hebrew is Yoshua, and there he has an “h”, and in Spanish he has no “h”. And he has the “u”; He doesn’t have it after – He doesn’t have it as a second letter, nor as a third (let’s see), but he has it… We would have to look for how it is written in Hebrew; let’s leave the… let’s better speak in Spanish.
But look, in Spanish John and Jesus. It is also similar in English; some letters change, but they start with the same letter. In Hebrew they also have to start with the same letter. And do you know what the first letter is? The “Y” (that is, the Greek “i”), which is a change for us, from “J” to “Y”, for us it is a pretty big change; but that is how it is in these changes, when you go from one language to another.
And we can see there that the forerunner and the foreran were family too; they were relatives according to the flesh.
Now, all those are very important details, because for the Last Day, for the adoption of the sons and daughters of God, we have to see that certain details that we see in time and for the time of John and Jesus will be reflected here.
And notice, Jesus and John: Jesus became a disciple of John first: He was baptized by John. The Spirit of God descended upon Jesus when John baptized Him. John presented Him as the Messiah.
Jesus began His ministry after John; though that doesn’t mean that Jesus had not preached before, but His messianic ministry began after He was baptized and returned from the wilderness after fasting 40 days and 40 nights.
Then we find, also, that even while John was preaching, Jesus also began to preach. And then we find that there was a group, John the Baptist’s group, the group of the forerunner, and then the group of the foreran appeared; among which there were also many who had been disciples of John the Baptist, of the forerunner, but they didn’t stay with the forerunner because the forerunner came to prepare the people, to receive and believe in the one who would come after John.
To believe in John the Baptist and stay with him, and not follow Jesus, was to stay less than halfway, because with John they would only get to the baptism in water; but the one who would come after John would be the one who would baptize them with the Holy Spirit and Fire; and John wouldn’t be the one who would be adopted, but Jesus.
Those who would follow the one who would be adopted would be those who would also receive the Holy Spirit and Fire. They would receive what? The Spirit of adoption.
And now, see how important it is to know all this so that we in our time, after believing in the forerunner, we know that later on the elect will be believing in whom? In the one foreran, in the one who will come after the forerunner.
And it has to be one who has first been a disciple of the forerunner; therefore he will know the Message of the forerunner. And what the forerunner said will be fulfilled, when he said: “I may not be here when he comes (that is, when he manifests himself), but this Message will introduce him3.”
Therefore, he will know it, he will know this Message; and he will present himself with that Message, because the Message Itself will present him. He will show the Message and he will be able to show all the places where the forerunner spoke that he would come, and he will be able to show in the Bible all the places where it is promised that he will come.
Now, the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ said: “I will not die of old age without him being here.” John could also say the same thing: “I will not die of old age without him being here.” John the Baptist was only about 30 years old, because he was six months older than Jesus.
But look, John the Baptist later said (later)… As far as we can see, it was after he had baptized Him and had seen the Spirit of God descending upon Jesus, and he already knew who the Messiah was, who was the One he was preparing the way for; because the one who sent him to baptize, said to him: “Upon that one upon you see the Holy Spirit descending in the form of a dove and remain upon him, that is Him.” And John said: “And I saw it descend upon him and remain upon him4.”
Then he also says5: “In your midst is one whom you do not know. He is the one who will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and Fire. He is the one of whom I said that he would come after me. I did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize said to me: ‘Whoever you see the Holy Spirit descending on him and remaining on him, that is He.’ And I saw him.” Therefore, John already knew who was the One he was preparing the way for; and he was (according to the flesh) a relative of his, let’s say, his cousin, because Mary and Elizabeth were relatives.
Now, also notice: they both came from Judaism, from the Hebrew religion, which was the religion that had the promise of the coming of the forerunner and the coming of the foreran.
And the promise of the Second Coming of Christ, who has it? The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, in other words, Christianity, and it also has the promise of the coming of the forerunner. Therefore, both will appear in the midst of Christianity, as part of Christianity, as John and Jesus appeared as part of Judaism.
And see how, after people followed John the Baptist they had to follow the One who would come after John the Baptist. This was what Saint Paul taught the disciples of John who had not yet followed Jesus and had not received the Holy Spirit6
And now, Paul teaches this to some disciples of John the Baptist, and they then believe. Paul tells them that John baptized with water for repentance, saying to believe in the One who would come after him. That is in the book of Acts, chapter 19, verse 1 and on.
And now, Christ had a ministry of about three years; and He went to Mount Transfiguration, where He was adopted. Before He was adopted He had to have a messianic ministry; and look, it was about three years. Then He went up to Mount Transfiguration7, He was adopted.
While He was in that ministry He was carrying out the Work of God for that stage; and then He was adopted. And from then on, the work that He would carry out would be a work but already adopted.
That is why He was already adopted at the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, and for His Work of Redemption on Calvary’s Cross He was already adopted. In other words, He worked in the Work of God under that messianic ministry before being adopted and after being adopted (after being adopted, it was about six months, says the Reverend William Branham).
And with that part already adopted, with that ministry already adopted, notice, great things happened; and the Work of Redemption on Calvary’s Cross was carried out and the resurrection of the dead in Christ was also carried out, or of the dead —we would say— in Christ of the Old Testament; because the Lord of the Old Testament is the Jesus Christ of the New Testament.
And now, we can see that there are two important stages for the son that is going to be adopted:
The first thing is that he has to be a child of God.
The second thing is that he has —if it is for a messenger— he has to be the messenger for that new dispensation; and he has to have the Message of that new dispensation, he has to have the Messianic Message and messianic ministry.
He has to be anointed with the Spirit of God and he has to be in the midst of the people who have the promise of the Coming of that Son of God; and he has to be in the age pertaining to that time, which is always the Golden Age, the Age of the Cornerstone; and he has to be in the right territory.
In other words, Jesus in His First Coming couldn’t come to China, because the people who had the promise of His Coming was the Hebrew people.
And Jesus, when He went to be adopted couldn’t have had His ministry throughout China or Japan, but in the midst of the people who had the promise of the Coming of the Messiah; and He had to be in the midst of that people for the time He would be adopted.
Now look, these are countless details. There are more details. Today we are only beginning to enter into this topic, where there are many details.
And let’s see what I’ve been writing about here these days; because this is a message that is forming for perhaps Puerto Rico, for Puerto Rico these days…
He had to carry out the Work pertaining to pre-adoption: the Work before adoption; and then he had to climb a mountain to be adopted.
Now, all these details are very important for the adoption of all the children of God for the Last Day and of the messenger who will be in the midst of the children of God in the Last Day.
And look, Jesus was the only one: John the Baptist didn’t say that he was the fulfillment of the messianic promises, but Jesus was. When He read the messianic promises of Isaiah, chapter 61: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me…”, as it says in Luke, chapter 4, where He read, for He is reading the prophecy of Isaiah, chapter 61… It says (verse 18 and on):
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
He testified that that Messianic Scripture was being fulfilled in Him, that the Spirit of God, the Holy Spirit was in Him, had anointed Him. He was the Anointed of God, the Anointed One, in other words, the Messiah, the Christ. Christ, Messiah and Anointed One is the same, in different languages.
Now, see how in the midst of the people who were waiting for the coming of the forerunner and the coming of the foreran was that Jesus Christ fulfilled that messianic ministry: He identified His ministry with the messianic ministry promised for that time.
His works were also identified as the works that the Messiah would do; and the Spirit that was in Him, the Spirit of God, was identified as the Holy Spirit that would come to anoint the Messiah, the King of Israel in His Coming in the midst of the Hebrew people at that time. And nobody else was doing the works of the Messiah.
They were works or it was a Messianic Work, and it was a Messianic Message that Jesus had; and it was a messianic ministry, in the midst of the Hebrew people. But He was so simple —Jesus— that some people couldn’t believe that that young construction worker was the Messiah, was the man in whom the messianic promises would be fulfilled.
But the opinion of the people of that time doesn’t matter; yet, He was the fulfillment of the messianic promises in the midst of the Hebrew people.
He carried out the Messianic Work of three years of ministry; then He was adopted on Mount Transfiguration, and there appeared Moses and Elijah (one on each side) speaking to Him about His departure to Jerusalem to carry out the Work of Redemption; and that would be the Work that He would carry out when He was already adopted. So Moses and Elijah are speaking to Him about His ministry and Work that He will carry out with an adopted ministry.
Once He was adopted, the adopted ministry, things would move to a new phase of the messianic ministry. It was a short time, but it was the culminating part of the First Coming of Christ and His ministry, where He obtained the redemption for all of us.
Now, with all that He obtained, then He poured out His Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost; after dying, resurrecting and ascending to Heaven and sitting at the right hand of God, then He poured out His Holy Spirit upon the believers who were in the upper room waiting for the coming of the Holy Spirit. And by that time, they had already been there ten days. That 10th day, we find that there were 120 gathered there; and they received the Holy Spirit in the fourth watch, in other words, in the morning.
And then, from 8 to 9 in the morning, Peter was already preaching and was opening the Door with the key to the Kingdom of the Heavens, opening the Door of the Kingdom of the Heavens to the people who were present there; and Christ is the Door. He was opening the Door of the First Coming of Christ and His Work of Redemption on Calvary’s Cross to all those people who were present there, to enter the Kingdom of the Heavens.
Now, see how Saint Peter made known to them the entire mystery of the First Coming of Christ and His Work of Redemption, so that they may enter through that Door, receive mercy from God, wash their sins away in the Blood of Christ and receive the Spirit of Christ.
And now, we can see how the believers in our beloved Lord Jesus Christ began to receive the first fruits of the Spirit; the first fruits of the Spirit, which is the spirit of adoption, where the person has obtained a theophanic body, a theophanic spirit of the sixth dimension.
For the Last Day we will receive the fullness of adoption, we will receive the fullness of God: our bodies will be transformed, the dead in Christ resurrected into eternal bodies, and thus we will all be adopted.
All that Program of adoption for the children of God for the Last Day, revolves around the Second Coming of Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as King of kings and Lord of lords in His Reclaiming Work, it revolves around the Seventh Seal.
Now, we can see that since we are living in a time as important as this, there are thousands of sons and daughters of God on this Earth that are being prepared (for what?) to be adopted in this end time. And there also has to be a dispensational messenger with a dispensational Message, in other words, with a Messianic Message, in a messianic stage and a messianic ministry, working in the Work of Christ for this end time.
See that before Christ was adopted He had to be working in the Work of the One who was going to adopt Him. And Christ is going to adopt us, but first we will be working in His Work.
And now, who is working in the Work of Christ for this end time? Well, we are working on the Messianic Work of the Last Day, with the Messianic Message of the Last Day, just as Jesus Christ was in His ministry of three years and then He was adopted and then He had six more months.
The elect of God will be working in the Work of God, the Messianic Work of the Last Day; and then we will be transformed, those of us who are alive; and then we will remain here for 30 to 40 more days, for an important work that has to be carried out. But we leave that part for when we are already adopted.
Now, look at what the adoption will be for the Church of Jesus Christ and for the messenger that Jesus Christ will have in the midst of His Church in the Last Day, which is the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And now look what the forerunner of the Second Coming of Christ said on page 9 of the book of Quotations. Verse 72, it says8:
“But when you stay in the Kingdom, stay in the Gospel, stay right, one of these days God will call you out and set you aside, adopt you as His son, before the people, and give you something that will shake the nations, with it.”
See what is prepared for that Son of Jesus Christ that will be adopted in the Last Day as the messenger of the Dispensation of the Kingdom and messenger of the Age of the Cornerstone; that is the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And then with him, all the elect that will be with him working in the Work of Christ, in the Age of the Cornerstone, the Messianic Age, with the Messianic Message, will also be adopted; and then we will work a little more in the new body, about 30 or 40 days, together with the Angel Messenger; and also together with the dead in Christ that will resurrect in eternal bodies.
Now, what are they going to do? We don’t know; but as God leads them through that Son that will be adopted, they will work; and so will the rest of God’s elect of our time.
It will be the first time that, apart from our beloved Lord Jesus Christ, another man, another messenger, will be adopted; and where thousands of people also, thousands of sons and daughters of God, will be adopted.
In other words, it will be an adoption of many children, of all the sons and daughters of God, where the dead at the resurrection will also be adopted; and we will all have the theophanic body, the theophanic spirit of the sixth dimension, the spirit of adoption, and we will also have the physical and eternal body, the body of adoption, the body that we will receive with that adoption; and thus we will be equal to our beloved Lord Jesus Christ, in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ our Savior, with eternal, young, immortal and glorified bodies, to live for the Millennium, and what else? And for all eternity.
Now, we saw something here. Stay tuned to the next messages that will be preached in Puerto Rico, because there I hope God will give us enough, that is, more on this subject, because we are already very close to that great event for all of us.
But notice, before a person is adopted, he must have been working in the Work of God; but it has to be in the Messianic Work of God for that time, with the Messianic Message and with the messenger; and it has to be in that dispensational intertwining.
Now look at all the things, all the details that are for the adoption of a child of God, as a messenger and also for the people as the Mystical Body of believers.
Now, we are in the right territory; we are relaxed with that part. And we are on the right mount: on Mount Zion, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; that is the updated Mount Transfiguration. And we are where? At the top, in other words, at the summit: in the Age of the Cornerstone.
And there they were, and there was Moses and Elijah. It is indispensable that there be Moses and Elijah.
How can you be waiting for the adoption, people, without having the one Jesus had there for His adoption: Moses and Elijah? Now, they are promised here in the Bible that they will be in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, at the top of the Mount, in other words, in the Age of the Cornerstone.
Those are the ministries of the Angels of the Son of Man, sent with the Great Voice of Trumpet to call and gather the elect in the Age of the Cornerstone, and place them there so that they are working in the Work of Christ relevant to the Age of the Cornerstone, to then be adopted.
So our work in the Lord that we have been carrying out for all these past years, and the work that we are carrying out at this time (in this year), and all the work that we have yet to carry out, is not in vain. All that work counts as pre-adoption work; without that work no person can be adopted.
Perhaps there are people who say: “When I see the miracles happening on that scale that was prophesied, then I will believe”; but by that time the Work that has to be done before being adopted (before the person is adopted), has already been carried out by those who will be adopted.
In other words, whoever thinks of first seeing in order to believe later, will be like Thomas; in other words, they are the Thomasites. That is, treating them with love, not saying “the unbelievers”; the Thomasites of our time.
But God will adopt all those who have been working first in that pre-adoption Work, which is a Messianic Work, in a Messianic Age, with a Messianic Message and a messianic ministry; where the ministries of the Angels of the Son of Man will be manifested with the Great Voice of Trumpet, calling and gathering all the elect of God; all those who will be (what?) adopted.
Now, we are seeing this mystery of THE ADOPTION OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD, where the messenger is included, the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ, who is also one of the children of God; therefore, he is a redeemed by the Blood of Christ, like the other sons and daughters of God; and for this end time he will be in the right territory, with the right people, at the right age, working with the right group, with the right people, in the right continent and with the right Message.
So all these details must be in harmony, they must be well placed, both for the messenger and for all the sons and daughters of God who are going to be adopted in this end time.
The adoption of the sons and daughters of God is the culminating part of the Work of Christ in His Church as Mystical Body and in every believer in our Lord Jesus Christ; because with the adoption of the sons and daughters of God, we will all become in the image and likeness of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
And that will be the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God, the manifestation of the sons and daughters of God in eternal bodies, with eternal theophanic spirits; therefore, there will be no limitations as to the things that will happen when we are already adopted.
And so all that could take years, in about 30 or 40 days what God has to do in those days will be done.
Now, our brother Branham says that God thus puts aside —adopt— that Son, and gives Him something with which He shakes all nations.
And along with that messenger will also be all the other sons and daughters of God, which will also be adopted. And that is nothing but a mighty heavenly Army: the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ: the dead in Christ, who will resurrect in eternal bodies, and we who are alive, who will be transformed.
Well, it has been a privilege to be with you greeting you and talking to you about THE ADOPTION OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD, adoption promised to be carried out at the Last Day; for our transformation comes after the resurrection of the dead in Christ; and the resurrection of the dead in Christ, Christ promised it for the Last Day, according to John, chapter 6, verses 39 to 56.
In that chapter 6 we find four occasions where Jesus says: “…and I will raise him up at the last day”, which is the seventh millennium for the human beings, and it is the seventh day for God, the seventh day of the days of God; because “one day before the Lord is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day.” Second Peter, chapter 3, verse 8, and Psalm 90, verse 4.
You know those Scriptures well, which have already been opened to all of us.
And how can we not know them well, if they are the Scriptures that have to do with this end time and with our adoption, promised for the Last Day? We have to know all these prophecies and have full knowledge of them, in order to have the faith to be transformed and taken to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven, in other words, raptured, caught up to Heaven with our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.
When we are transformed we will see Jesus Christ in His theophanic body. Meanwhile, we will be seeing the manifestation of Jesus Christ in Holy Spirit through His Angel Messenger, which Jesus Christ will adopt in this end time; but first he has to be carrying out the pre-adoption Work, the Work that goes before the adoption; because God doesn’t adopt lazy people. God adopts children who show that they love Him and that they are interested in their Father’s business, and they learn to work in their Father’s business and work in it.
Let’s leave it there: “THE ADOPTION OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD.”
Later you will hear more in other messages, and you will complete the picture; and then you will gather this message (when it is in booklet), you will gather it with the message or messages that come on this subject for these days, and put them together (maybe you prepare them in a volume, and there you have them together), so that you may study, and not be lazy, but working in the Work of Christ, in the Work of pre-adoption. And let’s be aware that our work is not in vain: it is a labor, a work, pre-adoption.
That is our goal: to be like Christ, and that is the adoption. By becoming like Christ, we have been adopted.
You know what? That before Christ died on Calvary’s Cross, those who were already going to receive the Holy Spirit in the Day of Pentecost, had already been called and gathered by Jesus Christ in His ministry; and surely, also, before Christ was adopted on Mount Transfiguration, He had already called and gathered all the elect who were going to receive the first fruits of the Spirit, in other words, the spirit of adoption.
Now look how Christ came looking for His sheep, those who were going to receive the spirit of adoption on the Day of Pentecost: He came calling them and gathering them together; and it is the same in our time. All that is the pre-adoption part, and then the adoption will come.
And then we will be how? Like Christ our beloved Savior. Like the grain of wheat that fell into the ground and died, and resurrected, we will be like Him: with eternal bodies and eternal theophanic spirits as well.
“To be like Christ.” That is what we want and that is what Christ has in His Program for each of us. That is what He has in His Program in the adoption: to be like Christ our Savior.
And we already began to be like Him by obtaining the theophanic body, by obtaining His Holy Spirit; and we will continue until we are in all His fullness as our beloved Lord Jesus Christ; and it will be by receiving the eternal, immortal and glorified body; and we will be like Him: in His image and likeness.
And this is not “perhaps” or “maybe,” this is “THUS SAYS our beloved Lord Jesus Christ!” He says that we will be like Him, that He will make us like Him. Therefore, we will be what? We will be like our beloved Lord Jesus Christ: in His image and likeness. Amen and amen.
And this is for the Last Day, the seventh millennium, in the morning, in the fourth watch of the seventh millennium.
And there we will leave it alone, because we have to start explaining that one day before the Lord is a thousand years. And if a thousand years of ours is only one day, then how much is one hour before God for us? They are what? About 41 years and eight months. And a watch has 3 hours, a 3-hour watch before God, multiplied by 41 with 8 months, x 3, is how much? 125 years. There we have the fourth watch pertaining to the Last Day before God, for the human beings in the seventh millennium.
Well, may God bless you and keep you, and may you continue having a night full of the blessings of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. God bless you.
