Good evening, beloved friends and brethren present, and also ministers and congregations in different countries; also, warm greetings to missionary, doctor Miguel Bermudez Marin. May God bless you Miguel, and may He use you greatly in His Kingdom in this end time.
Tonight we will read the passage of John, chapter 1, verses 1 to 14, where it says:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
“THE LIGHT SHINETH IN DARKNESS.” That is the subject of the Bible Study for next Sunday’s Bible School, God willing.
And today (Friday, October 21, 2016) we will only have a brief introduction to the subject of next Sunday’s Bible School on October 23, 2016.
“THE LIGHT SHINETH IN DARKNESS.”
When light approaches, darkness flees, darkness hides. Therefore, it is important to know what Light is and how it is manifested in order to shine in the midst of the people of God.
When the Word came… The Word is the Angel of the Covenant, the Angel of God, which is the heavenly body of God, the theophanic body of God called the Angel of the Covenant or Angel of the Lord. That is the Holy Spirit, the Angel of the Covenant who can appear in the form of light or in the form of a man from another dimension.
Through His heavenly body called the Word that was with God and was God, God created the universe. God created all things, all dimensions, through the Word that was with God and was God. He says it right here. Says… This same chapter 1 of John, verse 1 and on, says:
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…
All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”
All of the Creation was made by the Word who was with God and was God.
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
Now, let us turn to Colossians, chapter 1, verses 15 and on… or rather, verse 13 and on [verse 12]:
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature.”
Christ is the image of the invisible God.
When people said they had seen the Angel of God, the Angel of the Lord, they would say they had seen God; it was God in His heavenly body. That is why Manoah in chapter 13 of the book of Judges, said to his wife: “We shall surely die, because we have seen God.” They had seen God but in His heavenly body, His theophanic body, which is also called the Angel of the Covenant or the Holy Spirit.
Moses also saw the backside of the Angel of the Covenant, of God passing by in His heavenly body in front of Moses. We also find Joshua seeing the Angel of the Covenant with a sword in His hand, in chapter 5 of the book of Judges; or I correct: in the book of Joshua, chapter 5, verse 13 to 15.
We also have Jacob or Israel, in chapter 32 of Genesis, verse 30, who said: “And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel: for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.” The One he had seen was the Angel of God; he had seen the heavenly body of God, the theophanic body of God, and he had wrestled with the Angel of God in whom God dwelled. It was God in His heavenly body, in His theophanic body, appearing to Jacob.
He had also appeared to him in dreams, but this time, He had an encounter with him in the territory where Jacob was, which had to meet with his brother Esau, who was coming with about four hundred warriors to meet with Jacob. Therefore, Jacob was frightened, trembling, because his brother Esau had said that when his father Isaac died, he would kill Jacob.
That story or case will be repeated in this end time, wherein the antichrist will try to kill, to destroy the Jews; but Israel will have an encounter with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; they will see Him physically manifested in this end time. Of which we will speak about on other occasions, especially when the Vision of the Tent is completely fulfilled.
Now, we have seen that in the Old Testament, from Genesis to Malachi, people themselves would testify that they had seen God face to face. The Bible does not contradict itself. They had seen the Angel of the Covenant. But notice, verse 18 of this same chapter 1 of John, says:
“No man hath seen God at any time…”
It seems like a contradiction of what people said from Genesis to Malachi.
“No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
He was known in the Old Testament from Genesis to Malachi, manifested through His Angel, the Angel of the Covenant, to create all things, to speak to Adam and to appear to Adam every day and speak with him, to have fellowship with Adam, His son.
And later on, He appeared to different people of the Old Testament, and everyone testified that they had seen God: some in dreams and others spoke to God while being awake. But it was God veiled in the Pillar of Fire, and on other occasions, He appeared in the form of a man. It was God veiled in the Pillar of Fire and God veiled in the heavenly body, theophanic body, called the Angel of the Covenant or Angel of the Lord.
That is why they wanted to know His Name, asking the Angel of the Lord; because the Name of God is in the Angel. Exodus, chapter 23, verse 20 and on, says:
“Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.
Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.”
If someone wants to know the Name of God, he must know that it will be revealed in the Angel of God, the Angel of the Covenant.
We find the Name of God for Redemption; and when He became flesh, the Name of God was revealed to the people for Redemption. Christ said: “I have come in my Father’s Name.” [John 5:43]
In order to reveal the Name of God for Redemption, He became flesh, so that He could receive in that Name the Gospel for our salvation, also carrying out the Sacrifice of Atonement for our sins.
Now, since we spoke about the Name of God, Revelation, chapter 3, verse 12, says:
“Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.”
If God helps us, next Sunday, during the Bible School, we will speak about the New Name of God in the Bible study, the New Name of the Messiah, the New Name of Christ or the Christ.
The New Name of God will be revealed; and we will see, how far God will allow us to speak so that the Program of God is not interrupted, and we will speak that; or if it is not prudent to speak, then this is all you will hear from the Bible Study of “THE LIGHT SHINETH IN DARKNESS.”
Christ said: “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” [John 8:12]
The Name was in the Light. I have given you something in advance. And Him being the Light, the Word made flesh, the Name of God for Redemption was there. In the Light, because “the light shineth in darkness.” That has been the preview, the introduction, to the subject of Bible Study, next Sunday’s Bible study on October 23, 2016.
May God bless all of you and keep you; and pray a lot for next Sunday’s subject, in which we expect great blessings from God.
We will study as much as God allows us to. Let us say that the topic is a topic for the fulfillment of the Great Tent Cathedral. It would be a preview, most likely, if God allows us to speak something about the New Name of the Lord. If not, we will remain with what we have already heard, and we pray so that God helps us understand when that mystery of the New Name of the Lord is opened.
May God bless you and keep you; and until next Sunday, God willing, which I will be with you once again; with you here in Puerto Rico and with those of you in other nations through the satellite and internet.
And may God bless you Miguel, and may He use you greatly where you are in Valencia (if I am not mistaken, he is in Valencia). Not Valencia, Spain, but Valencia, Venezuela, that is my understanding; if not, we will correct it.
Well, it is where reverend Barrolleta is with his congregation there. May God bless you and keep you Barrolleta and may He use you greatly in His Work in this end time, along with your family and all the brethren there of the congregation. Barcelona. In Barcelona but of Venezuela.
Well, may God bless you and keep you, and continue having a joyful evening filled with the blessings of Jesus Christ our Savior.
I leave reverend Jose Benjamin Perez with you, and in each nation I leave the corresponding minister to continue; and if there are people to be baptized, they may be baptized. Those who are gathered there and have not received Christ as their Savior may do so now, and you will be baptized there, wherever they may be.
May God bless you and keep you; and continue having a happy evening filled with the blessings of Christ our Savior.
