Good morning, beloved brethren and friends present here in Buenos Aires—Lomas de Zamora (in Buenos Aires, Argentina). It is a great privilege to be with you on this occasion, to share some moments of fellowship around the Word of God and His Program revealed in It, pertaining to this time in which we are living.
We will be speaking about the subject: “THE MYSTERY OF THE REWARDS TO THE OVERCOMERS.”
“THE REWARDS TO THE OVERCOMERS.”
For this reason, I want to read in Revelation chapter 21, verses 6 to 7, where it says:
“And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.
According to the Scriptures, God will give every man according as his work shall be. Revelation chapter 22, verse 12, says:
“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
In the Coming of the Son of man is when He will give every man according as his work shall be. Jesus spoke of the same thing in chapter 16, verse 26 and on of Saint Matthew, when He said:
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”
Then, six days later, He took Peter, James, and John, and brought them up into a high mountain apart; and was transfigured before them (there on the mountain that we call Mount Transfiguration), where His face was seen as the sun shining; and Moses and Elijah appeared there too.1 Jesus was also being seen there with His raiment shining.
All these things speak of the Coming of the Son of man at the Last Day, in the Coming of the Kingdom of God, where God’s sons and daughters will be adopted; and where the ministry of Christ as the Lion of the tribe of Judah, as King of kings and Lord of lords in His Claiming Work, will be adopted to reign over the Hebrew people and over all nations.
In the materialization of the vision of Mount Transfiguration is when Christ will reward every man according to his works; and that is when these seven rewards that are mentioned in Revelation chapter 2 and chapter 3 will materialize in those who will be living at this Last Day, and especially in the Messenger who will be living at the Last Day, because it says: “He that overcomes.”
Each messenger of each age overcame in his time, but none of the seven messengers lived at the Last Day; because at the Last Day, in the Coming of the Son of man, that is when He will give the reward to the Overcomer.
That is why the Faithful and Wise Servant who will be in the House of God giving them the spiritual Food of the Word of God in due season—in other words, the Message pertaining to the time of the Coming of the Son of man—will be rewarded; because He says: “Behold, I come quickly…” Revelation chapter 22, verse 12, says:
“And, behold, I come quickly,” (Who is the One that is coming? Christ), “and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
When does He bring the reward? When does He give the reward? In His Coming.
And notice the promise or promises in Revelation chapter 21, verse 7; it says:
“He that overcometh shall inherit all things.”
Now we can see that we have countless promises for the Overcomer. And now, he that overcomes at the Last Day will inherit all things.
These promises that were given here were only partially obtained; but the reward that is offered here is to be obtained at the Last Day. For example, it says:
[Revelation 2:7] “To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
During the ages, we have been eating of Christ, the Tree of Life (during the Dispensation of Grace), and we have been obtaining a theophanic body of the sixth dimension; and at the Last Day, in His Coming—in the Coming of Christ, who is the Tree of Life—He will give us of Himself, and we will obtain immortality.
Notice how He comes with the little Book open in His hand. And in Revelation chapter 10, what happens? In Revelation chapter 10, when He comes with the little Book open in His hand, in verse 8 and on, it says:
“And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.”
Now notice how Christ comes with the little Book open in His hand, the Book of Redemption, the Title Deed of Heaven and Earth, the Lamb’s Book of Life, where all the names of God’s elect are written there.
And now He comes with that little Book open… which no one in Heaven could take or open, or even look at, no one could read the content of that Book;2 and Christ, being the only One who could do that, took It in Heaven, opened It, and then He brings It to Earth and gives It to a man; and there, when It is given there—in type and figure—to John the Apostle, it is representing the end time, where the Coming of the Son of man, the Coming of Christ, in Revelation chapter 10, will be fulfilled.
And Christ will give that Title Deed to a man, so that he eats and then prophesies; but first he must eat It. And by doing that, he is eating of what? If It is the Lamb’s Book of Life, he is eating the Book of Life, he is eating of the Tree of Life; and he, as the Faithful and Wise Servant who will be in the House of God, well, he will share It with all of God’s sons and daughters.
Why? Because, notice (let’s look closely here), without that Title Deed returning to Earth, and without a messenger eating It on Earth and sharing the content of that Book with God’s elect, it is impossible for the transformation of our bodies and the resurrection of the dead in Christ to take place.
Eating of that Book is required, and for that to happen, the Son of man must come with that little Book open and He must give It to His Messenger at the time of His Coming. It says:
“To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.”
Christ is the Tree of Life, and He is the One who comes at the Last Day with the little Book open in His hand to give It [to someone] to eat.
Notice, here it says: “I will give him to eat of the Tree of Life.” In Revelation chapter 2, verse 17, it says: “I will give him to eat of the hidden Manna.” And in Revelation chapter 10, verses 8 to 11, He gives him to eat the Title Deed, the Book of the Seven Seals; because eating the Title Deed, the Book of the Seven Seals, is eating of the Book of Life and eating of the hidden Manna, and so forth.
Now… well, it’s because there can’t be a Tree of Life that we eat from and live, and on the other hand, there can’t be a hidden Manna that we eat from and live, and on the other hand, a Book that we eat from and live; all three things must be the same thing.
It is Christ giving the Overcomer of the Tree of Life so that at that time we may obtain immortality and live eternally with Christ, and the dead in Christ may be raised in eternal bodies and live for all eternity with our Lord Jesus Christ too.
Now, notice how Christ rewards His children in His Coming. And now notice how He promised us in His Word that “the Son of man shall come with His Angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his works.”
Now, it is very important to know where one stands in the Divine Program, because the reward depends on where the person stands.
Let’s look in First Corinthians chapter 3, Saint Paul the Apostle tells us… let’s see, let’s start on verse 1 (and little by little we will be seeing what it says there):
“And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able.
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whom ye believed, even as the Lord gave to every man?
I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.
So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.
Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one: and every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labour.”
The reward, notice, depends on the labor that the person has done: If the labor has been the sowing part, it has a reward; if it has been watering what was already sown, watering It with the Water of the Word to establish them in the Gospel (so that what was sown and sprouted may increase)… well, his reward is according to the work he has done.
“For we are labourers together with God…”
Those words, “We are laborers together with God,” are something that means a lot to us. God has laborers, and who are they? It’s us! because God’s partners are His children who live on this Earth in each stage of God’s Program.
“…Ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.” (A building of God, which is the Temple that God is building).
“According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it,” (And what day is that? The Last Day).
During the seven stages or ages of the Gentile Church, people have been living in the evening time; and that is why the Church is represented in the moon, and Her messengers are represented in the stars that appear during the night: Her messengers are represented in those seven morning stars or seven chief stars that have been shining during the seven stages or ages of the Gentile Church.
“But the day shall declare it.” The day will declare the work of each person and where each person worked; and he who has not been found working, at the time in which he lived, in the Work of God pertaining to the age of that time, with the messenger of that time, well, he built wrong: he was supposed to build in the stage relevant to his time, under the direction, under the leadership of Christ through the messenger of his time.
“…Because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is.
If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself,” (the person), “shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
See how it’s not a…? It’s not a matter of people saying: “I am going to work in the Work of God.” We must know the age and dispensation in which we are living, and who the messenger of that time is, in order to work with that messenger on the building relevant to that age of the spiritual Temple of Christ.
We cannot be building in the Outer Court when we are in the Holy of Holies; we cannot be working, building, in the Holy Place, when we are building in the Holy of Holies. The laborers of the Last Day work (where?) in the Holy of Holies, in that building of Christ.
Now, everyone must work at the time he has been given according to God’s Program.
And notice what it goes on to say:
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”
Every person who has acted against the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ—which is the Temple of God—has a sentence here: God will destroy him; every person who has acted against an elect of God: God will destroy him.
That is what Christ shows in [Matthew] chapter 25 when He sets the sheep (the lambs) to His right, and the goats to His left; and He says to the ones on His right: “Come, ye blessed of My Father.” Let’s read it here, it says… (let’s see which part of chapter 25 it’s in), verse 31 and on, says:
“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.” (That’s what He tells those on His right, meaning, the sheep). He says:
“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
The least of these brethren of the Lord, of the King, are the members of His mystical Body, the members of His Church, they are God’s elect; and everyone who has helped God’s elect in one way or another, shall not lose their reward. Christ said: “For whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these My little ones a cup of cold water, he shall in no wise lose his reward;”3 and His reward is Eternal Life.
These people here, notice, are not God’s elect, rather, they are people who did favors for God’s elect; in one way or another, they helped God’s elect.
And now let’s see… This is the reward for those who have helped God’s elect.
Now let’s see the reward for those who have not helped the children of God, for those who have had the opportunity to do something in favor of God’s children but have not done it, or who have done something against the children of God, who have harmed the children of God; on some occasions, they have persecuted them and killed children of God. Those people are also here in this group, which is represented in the goats, which Christ sets on His left:
“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
Now notice here that those who didn’t do good to the children of God, but instead, had the opportunity to do something in favor of God’s children and didn’t do it; and what others did was harm the children of God: they didn’t help them when they needed to be helped; and others even persecuted them; and others even killed children of God. Those people are going (where?) to hell; that is what Christ teaches us here.
The only way for these people to escape that hell is: upon repenting—before that time comes, upon repenting, believing in Christ as their Savior, washing away their sins in the Blood of Christ, and starting to help the children of God; because they can’t keep their arms crossed and not do anything either, because the children of God have been working in each age.
And those who have helped the children of God in the work they are carrying out at the time in which they are given to live, those people will be rewarded; likewise, all the children of God will be rewarded for the work carried out in the Kingdom of God.
Now we can see the rewards for the overcomers. And we have seen, notice, the rewards for the messengers as well as the brethren of the different ages; we have also seen the reward for the Faithful and Wise Servant at the Last Day; we have also seen the rewards for the elect of the Last Day; and we have also seen the rewards for mankind.
Among the people who don’t belong to the group of God’s chosen ones, God’s elect, they will also receive rewards according to what they have done before the Work of God, of Christ, on this Earth, through His elect. It depends on the attitude they have taken towards the elect who are carrying out the Work of Christ, that is what the reward that other people will receive is dependent upon.
Because every work has a reward; and every human being comes to this Earth to carry out the work that pertains to him, and according to how he carries it out, such will be the reward he will receive from our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of His Father with His Angels, and then He shall reward every man according to his works.”
Notice how in the parable of the wheat and tares, Christ teaches us that the tares will be bound in bundles and cast into the furnace of fire, where there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.4 That is the reward for the tares, which have persecuted the wheat in its different stages.
And as for the wheat, the children of God, it tells us that the wheat will be gathered and put in the Garner, and they will shine forth in the Kingdom of His Father; they will shine forth, how? As the sun. Why? Because in His Coming, Christ comes as the Sun of Righteousness shining, and all His elect, His children, will shine forth with Christ as kings and priests in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Because the Coming of Christ as the sun shining, represents Christ as King of kings and Lord of lords; and God’s elect shining as the sun, represents God’s elect as kings and priests in the Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“THE REWARDS TO THE OVERCOMERS.”
This is so because our labor is not in vain in the Lord;5 each person will receive the reward, his reward, according to his works. “And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” That is what Christ says here in Revelation 22, verse 12.
See that all this is according to what Christ also spoke in the Gospels? And it is also according to everything God spoke through the prophets in the Old Testament; because all of this comes like a thread, from the Book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation.
And now, we are here in the Work of Christ pertaining to the Age of the Cornerstone and Dispensation of the Kingdom; and our work in the Lord, in the mystical Body of Christ, in the Age of the Cornerstone and Dispensation of the Kingdom, which is the Age of the Holy of Holies of the spiritual Temple of Christ, will not lose its reward. This is the most important Work, because it is the Work pertaining to the most important part of the spiritual Temple of Jesus Christ.
And at this Last Day, we will receive the reward: we who are alive will be changed, and the elect of past ages—who worked on this spiritual Temple in its construction—will be raised in eternal bodies; and all together, we will go to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb, where Christ will be giving out the rewards for all our work done in His Work, in His Kingdom.
It has been a great privilege to be with you on this occasion, testifying to you about THE REWARDS TO AND FOR THE OVERCOMERS.
And where are the ones who will receive the rewards of the Last Day? Here we are, in Latin America and the Caribbean, working in the Mystical Body of Christ in the Age of the Cornerstone and Dispensation of the Kingdom.
It’s not that we work to be rewarded, but that Christ has said that our labor will not lose its reward. So, He is the One who has promised these rewards; and if He has promised them, He will fulfill them; and He will give the rewards to the overcomers.
And where are the ones who will receive the rewards at this Last Day? Here we are! Here we are at this Last Day, in the Age of the Cornerstone and Dispensation of the Kingdom, working in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, in His Church, with all our soul, with all our heart, with and out of Love Divine.
Thank you very much for your kind attention, beloved friends and brethren present, radio listeners and television viewers. And may God fill us with more enthusiasm and more strength every day to work in His Work; and may He fill us with Love Divine, so that we always work in His Work out of Love Divine. In the Eternal Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen.
May God bless you and keep you all; and I will leave the pastor here to continue and then conclude as you have scheduled, after a song, and the other things you have scheduled for this time.
May God bless you and keep you all.
