The reward of the faithful and wise servant

Good morning, beloved friends and brethren present. It is a great blessing for me to be with you again here in Ciudad del Carmen, to share with you here on the island a few moments of fellowship around the Word of God.

Jesus Christ Himself tells us in Matthew, chapter 24, verses 34 to 47… Speaking to us of the Coming of the Son of Man, He tells us very important things here that we can’t overlook, because they teach us how to be waiting for the Coming of the Son of Man and teach us how it will be: How the time will be and what things will be happening in the Church of the Lord. Chapter 24, verse 34 and on, of Matthew, says:

“Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be (As in the days of whom? Noah’s).

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.”

May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.

Our subject is “THE REWARD OF THE FAITHFUL WORKER,” “THE REWARD OF THE FAITHFUL SERVANT,” that is, of the faithful and prudent servant, of the faithful and prudent worker.

This passage that speaks to us of the faithful and wise servant gives us a very great teaching, which is all-encompassing. This covers dispensational messengers, messengers of ages; it also covers pastors, it also covers congregations, it also covers individuals and also nations; because we are living in a place, on a planet, of which God says:¹ “The Earth is mine and the fullness thereof.” In other words, we are living in a territory that belongs to God; and God has given the human being this territory to administer it.

Therefore, each person as an administrator in the goods of our God, is placed as a servant, as a worker, to be faithful and wise working in that divine property.

And now, each person has a body, a spirit and a soul as an individual; and God is the one who has given the human being what he is. Therefore, the human being is responsible for taking care of his body, his spirit and his soul; and we can’t defraud our soul. The Scripture says:² “He who sins, defrauds his soul.” Therefore, we must be faithful and prudent in what God has given us to minister.

And now, each individual as a worker, a faithful and wise servant (whether male or female), is called to feed his body. If he stops eating he becomes thin, gets weak, gets sick and dies; therefore, he has a responsibility. That is why the human being looks for food since birth.

Have you seen babies when they are born? They immediately look for where the food is; and they immediately attach to their mother’s breast to drink her milk, to eat, to receive their food; and the human being already comes with the instinct to feed himself.

And now, that is the care for our body, the care for our food, so that it can continue to live.

And we need to feed our spirit and our soul. And with what are we going to feed our spirit and our soul? Can we take a piece of bread and fish and things like that, and give it to our soul and say: “Eat, that you may be fed”? No. “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”³

And each person as an individual is responsible of feeding his soul; that is a responsibility that corresponds to each person as an individual. For if he doesn’t eat the spiritual food of the Word of God for the time in which he lives, that soul dies spiritually; and then, the end of it will be to be cast into the lake of fire and disappear, to completely cease to exist, when he had the opportunity to receive eternal life.

And now notice how each person, since he has free will, he has the responsibility to receive that Food, to obtain that Food; and to give that Food to his soul to be spiritually strong, believing in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, serving Him all the days of his life and waiting for the fulfillment of every promise He has made; and enjoying those that are already fulfilled, and receiving the benefits of those that have already been fulfilled throughout biblical history, including those of the past and including those that He is fulfilling in this end time. And thus our soul is fed.

There is no other food for our soul, but the Word that comes from the mouth of God; and the mouth of God are the messengers of God, the prophets of God. The Word that comes from the mouth of God, from the messenger of God for the time in which God sends that messenger, that is the spiritual food for the people of that time.

That is why it is so important for each person as an individual to be a servant, a worker, a faithful and wise servant who feeds his soul: Because he places the Food in his house, and he is in charge of his house, of feeding his soul. Each person makes contact with the messenger of his age, sees him, receives him, and then receives from him the Food that he will place in his soul, with which he will feed his soul.

Did you see how simple everything is?

And now, each minister as pastor is responsible for his congregation, to have the spiritual food in the congregation, so that the congregation is well fed with the Word of God that corresponds to the time in which he is living. He is responsible to have that Food in booklets, in videos, and to have the necessary equipment; and he is responsible to look for it, that Food. If there is no way to send it to you, he is responsible to go and look for it for his congregation; in order to have his congregation well fed; because he wants that congregation, those people to be prepared to go with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; but first they have to be transformed, and for that they have to be fed with the Word of God relevant to the time in which we are allotted to live in.

And each congregation is responsible to distribute the spiritual food for all people; first for the people of his congregation and then to distribute it to all others, to give the opportunity to other people; and thus to work in the evangelistic Work, taking the Message of the Word of God for every human being, the spiritual food for the soul of human beings living in this end time; because there is no other spiritual food for the soul, but the Word that comes from the mouth of God for the end time.

Therefore: “Give ye them to eat,”⁴ as Christ said twice back then, when He performed the miracles of the loaves and the fishes.

And now, from age to age He performs a miracle, and from dispensation to dispensation He performs a miracle, where He produces —by divine creation, by His creative Word— the spiritual food for the souls of human beings.

And each angel messenger as a messenger is responsible for his age, to feed that age. And where is that messenger? Where does he have to be? Well, in the House of God, which is the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ; that is where the sons and daughters of God are fed with the spiritual food of the Word of God for each age. God places him there, in that age, and gives him the Message for that age; and he has to be receiving that Message to give it to the people, to give it to the sons and daughters of God; because he has been placed in the House of God, the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, as a faithful and wise servant, to give the Food on time to God’s children in the House of God.

And just as every messenger has great promises of great blessings that Christ will give him, so does every person as an individual and every pastor as a minister. And every congregation also has great blessings, because the congregation that works by taking the Message and having the Food, giving the Food to its people, is blessed by God; therefore, it will grow.

And now, every messenger has great blessings promised from God; and there is a blessing for the Last Day in Revelation, chapter 21, verse 7, which says:

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”

Thus says Christ for the Overcomer of the Last Day. That is why He has great blessings for the Angel Messenger of the Last Day, in and of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, relevant to the age that pertains to this end time, which is the Age of the Cornerstone. Therefore, he will receive the blessing of adoption, to be able to inherit and sit with Christ on His Throne, and receive authority over all nations; and thus be adopted (in other words, receive his adoption, receive his transformation, receive the new body), and continue working in the Work of God but already adopted.

And if it is something great and wonderful to work in the Work of Christ being in these bodies, what will it be like being in the eternal body, where we will have no limitations? It will be something great and wonderful.

And there are also great blessings for those who work with the messenger of the Last Day; because when we are adopted we will have the new body and we will continue working with that eternal body, and we will be here for 30 to 40 days and then we will go with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; but there is an important work to be carried out in those 30 or 40 days.

Remember that when Christ resurrected, the saints also resurrected with Him (the Old Testament saints) and appeared to many people⁵; and Christ continued teaching, preaching to His disciples and also performing signs, miracles.</sup>

Now, we can see that there are great blessings for all the sons and daughters of God. Therefore: “Labor ye in the work of the Lord, not for the meat which perisheth, but for the meat which endureth unto eternal life, which the Son of man shall give unto you,”⁶ Christ said.

And now, we have been allotted to live in the end time, in the Last Day.

According to the current calendar in use, the Gregorian calendar, we are living in 1999; 1999 years have passed from the birth of Christ until now, according to the Gregorian calendar. And next year, on December 31, at 12:00 midnight, according to the Gregorian calendar, the year 99 ends and the year 2000 begins; the year 2000 begins to be lived in, according to what scholars say in relation to the Gregorian calendar; because they say that when Christ was born, according to that calendar, it was the first year of that calendar that was made; and then, when Christ was 1-year-old, the calendar already reached the year number 2.

And that is why according to the calendar, for many people, when the year 2000 ends (which will be on December 31, 2000) then the two thousand years from Christ until now ends; and then the year 2001 will be the first year of the 21st century and will be the first year of the next millennium. But for other people it is not like that, they don’t think like that; and they think that on December 31, 1999 the 20th century ends and the 21st century begins, and therefore the next millennium begins.

But even though there are those differences…; because the others think that when Christ turned 1-year-old, then it was the first year of the calendar; and so for that reason they think that way.

But if we apply the prophetic calendar, we would already be in the year two thousand twenty-something; let’s say, year 2025, year 2028, around there.

But by which calendar will God be counting time? Or is it that the calendars have been connected: The Gregorian with the prophetic calendar, with God’s calendar?

Now, we do know one thing, and that is that by the end of the century —which is the time of the reaping, of the harvest— the wheat, the elect of God, are promised to be harvested, gathered. How will they be gathered? Through the Angels of the Son of Man sent to gather the wheat, to call and gather God’s elect with the Great Voice of Trumpet, as Jesus said in Matthew 24, verse 31:

“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect…”

That is a promise of Christ to be fulfilled in this end time. And in the parable of the wheat and the tares He says that this will be at the end of the world.⁷

That is why you will notice that in every cycle where mankind has reached the end of a century, mankind has been restless; and has been in expectation, watching, waiting from one moment to the next for the fulfillment of the Coming of the Son of Man with His Angels; because it is promised there in the Bible that the time of the harvest, of the reaping, is the end of the world.

And for the end of the world God will send, the Son of Man will send what? His Angels, to carry out the harvest. Therefore, the evidence of the end of the world to which Christ refers to, the evidence of that end of the world is the sending of the Angels of the Son of Man, to gather the wheat and place them in the Storehouse.

And that is the same as the words of John the Baptist when he said that Jesus was the one who would come after him; and he said: “He is the one who will baptize you with Holy Spirit and Fire”; he said: “Whose fan is in His hand, and…” Let’s see how it says it here, so that you have a clear picture. Chapter 3, verse 11 and on, it says (of Matthew):

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

Now, you see that here the one who gathers the wheat is the Lord; and in the parable of the wheat and the tares are the Angels of the Son of Man.

And when Christ speaks of the Coming of the Son of Man in Matthew, chapter 16, verse 27, He says that the Son of Man will come with His Angels and then He will pay each one according to his works. Let’s read it so that you may have it clear, let’s read a little before: Chapter 16, verse 24 to 28, says:

“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

See? The most important thing in the human being is what? The soul, because that is what the person is; that is the offspring that is the seed: The soul of the person. And there in the soul, in the soul of the person, is that the person is either God’s seed or he is not God’s seed; either he is a soul of God or he is not a soul of God. And that is the seed that has been placed in human bodies.

Christ said in Matthew, chapter 15, verse 13:

“But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.”

In other words, every soul that doesn’t come from God, that is not placed here by God, will be uprooted.

“Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not (sowed), shall be rooted up.”

And now, here we find that it is the Messiah, the one foreran, who carries out the gathering of the wheat; and in the parable of the wheat and the tares are the Angels of the Son of Man; and in Matthew, chapter 24, verse 31, where it says:

“And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect…”

Now, notice, the elect are represented in the wheat. The elect, the wheat, is gathered by the Angels of the Son of Man with the Great Voice of Trumpet of the Gospel of the Kingdom, in the Last Day.

Now, in Matthew 16, which we were reading, we turn to verse 26, where it says:

“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”

It did him no good to live on Earth if he loses his soul, because he didn’t care to feed his soul with the Word of God relevant to the time in which he was living; therefore, he dies: he dies spiritually, and then he dies physically: Body, spirit and soul, because he will be cast into the lake of fire, because he will come out guilty at the Final Judgment; because “he who believes in Christ is not condemned, but passes from death to life; but he who doesn’t believe is already condemned.”⁸

“Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”

Many would like to later give all their property for the salvation of their soul; but if they lose the opportunity they have here on Earth, there is no more opportunity afterwards.

“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”

And now, the Son of Man coming with His Angels: Where the Son of Man is, the Angels of the Son of Man will be there; and where the Angels of the Son of Man are, there the Son of Man will be manifested.

And that manifestation of the Son of Man will be in someone, the ministry of Jesus; and the manifestation of the ministry of Moses and the ministry of Elijah will be there, because Moses and Elijah, the Two Olive Trees, are the Angels of the Son of Man.

And the ministry of Christ is the ministry of the Son of Man; it is the manifestation of the Son of Man with His Angels coming at the Last Day, so as to bring the divine blessings for the wheat: For every elect of God to be called and gathered, every person represented in the wheat, and to be prepared to be changed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

Now we have seen this mystery of the reward of the servant, the faithful and wise worker.

Let us be faithful and wise with ourselves, feeding our soul with the Word of God; and also taking the spiritual food so that other people and our relatives also feed their souls; and thus let us work in the Work of Christ, in the House of God, the Church of Jesus Christ, in the age that corresponds to us to live: The Age of the Cornerstone. And so also the ministers, and so also the Angel of the Lord Jesus Christ for the Age of the Cornerstone, and so also every congregation. This also applies to the nations, but we will talk about that on another occasion.

The reward, notice, is great; it is eternal life for every person, every son and daughter of God as an individual, and also for every minister, and also an important position in the Kingdom of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ. This is so for every person as an individual, for every minister and for the Angel Messenger of the Lord of the Last Day, as well as for the angel messengers of the past ages: An important position in the Kingdom of God that will be established on this planet Earth.

And what important position will there be for us? The Scripture says that Christ with His Blood has redeemed us, has cleansed us from all sin and has made us for our God kings and priests.⁹ And there is no higher position than that of kings, priests and judges, and that is the position that Christ gives to every member of His Church, with each messenger and every minister of every age.

So you see, there is no higher position than the position that Christ has for the redeemed with His precious Blood, for all those who belong to the Mystical Body of the Lord Jesus Christ, that is, to the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Now we can see that it is worth working in the Kingdom of God: It is worth being a faithful and wise servant, a faithful and wise worker working in the Work of Christ; and working for oneself to feed one’s soul. That is a labor, a work, that is up to the person.

Sometimes someone may say: “It’s just, it’s too far to go to look for literature,” or: “It’s too far to go to listen to a video.” And who is harmed? Well, the person, if he doesn’t seek spiritual food for his soul.

Now, he who is wise and faithful, says: “That is near. It was further away two thousand years ago in the land of Israel. Now it is nearer, it is within our reach: In our congregation there is spiritual food in abundance.” See? See how close it is? What if it were going to Jerusalem, there to the temple, to worship God? Now that is far away!

But you see, God has made provision for all of us and He has us in our country, in the country of each elect, He has spiritual food for us in different congregations. And in the congregation where the person gathers, there is spiritual food for the soul of the person; for him, for his family also, to take to his family, and to take to his neighbors and other people in his community.

Do you see that there is no problem? Sometimes people have the problems in their minds, because they think of the time and the work that is spent in going from one place to another. But a worker, a servant, a worker who is working, knows that he has to do some work. They are not going to bring it home and read it to him and explain it to him, and then they are going to tell him: “My son, now rest”; no, each person has to do the part that corresponds to him.

Every faithful and wise servant is a servant, a hard worker, who strives, who struggles to do his best, to work and achieve success in what he does. And each one of you has to achieve success in yourself, thus giving Christ the opportunity to work in you, with the Word that you read and hear, and with the work that you carry out; and then, in the rewards, it is Christ who has to give them.

So know that Christ will have rewards; although we don’t work for rewards, but out of love of Christ; but He says that “your work in the Lord is not in vain.”¹⁰

Therefore, He has very beautiful rewards for when He takes us with Him to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; but we begin to receive rewards here. When we are transformed, we will have the reward of the new body, see?; and so we are already receiving great rewards. Even when we hear His Voice, we receive the reward of understanding His Word and receiving His Message. His Word, His Message, is a great reward that He gives us. And so on and so forth we are receiving rewards every day of our lives.

Look, today you being alive is one more day of reward that God is giving you; and He has already given you many days, many years (to those who have a few years): years of rewards; because no person deserves to be alive, but by God’s mercy we are alive on this Earth. And we live on Earth by and for a divine purpose: To be servants, workers, faithful to Christ our Savior.

May the blessings of Jesus Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, be upon all of you and upon me also, and may He use us in His Work in this Last Day; and may soon the number of God’s elect be completed, and may soon all the dead in Christ be resurrected in eternal bodies, and we who are alive be transformed, and taken all with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in Heaven. In the Eternal Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen.

“THE REWARD OF THE FAITHFUL AND WISE SERVANT.”
