Good afternoon beloved friends, brothers and sisters, and children too; may the blessings of Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, be upon all of you and also upon me.
On this occasion, I want to express to you my appreciation and gratitude for the support you have been giving and continue giving the project of the Great Tent Cathedral in Puerto Rico, and also for your support of the greatest project of all projects commanded by Christ, when He said:
[Mark 16:15] “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
That project of going and taking the Gospel of Christ is the greatest one that has been given to be carried out by the believers in Christ; and that is why the missionary and evangelistic work is carried out until the very last elect of God comes into the mystical Body of Christ.
May God bless you for the support you are giving that great project, you together with your ministers, each congregation with its minister, and also together with Missionary Miguel Bermúdez Marín.
Therefore, may God bless you for everything you are doing in the Work of the Lord, and may He use you more every day in His Program at this end time.
For this occasion, let’s read a passage of the Scripture that is found in Saint Luke chapter 21, verses 25 and on; and it says the following:
“And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;
When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.
Our subject is: “THE SUN, THE MOON, AND THE STARS INDICATING THE TIME AND GIVING US THE SIGNS OF THE END.”
Throughout the Scripture that we had at this time, we can see that Christ said there will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, and on Earth too; “on Earth distress of nations, with perplexity for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming,” because of what? Because of the sea and the waves roaring; in other words, because of all these problems: of tidal waves and tsunamis, giant waves that sweep the coasts when they take place.
When a country has had the experience of experiencing, of having a tsunami that has reached its coasts and gone deep inside them: they have understood what a tsunami is, they have understood the danger that there is for their country’s coasts.
And this is a time of earthquakes, tidal waves, tsunamis, volcanoes, the melting of the poles, polar ice, and so forth; a time of great expectation for the things that are to come upon the Earth.
“Men’s hearts failing them,” that is, due to problems, of nervousness, heart trouble, and all those things, and losing the desire to live: due to the things that will come.
There is a Scripture that tells us that people will seek death, and will not find it.1 Do you remember a time when the Prophet Elijah desired to die?2 That is how mankind will be, and that is the condition that all human beings are in.
We have been seeing the signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars.
Now, there is the literal heaven and there is also the spiritual Heaven, and there are the literal stars, which are suns, there are also the planets, and there is also the moon: the spiritual Moon and the literal moon. The literal moon is a type and figure of the Hebrew people and also of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The sun represents God and also Christ; He said: “I am the Light of the world; he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the Light of Life.”3
And Christ is also represented in a planet: the planet Venus, which is the morning star, which we see in the morning; when the rest of the stars have already disappeared, we can still see the planet Venus in the early morning, very early in the morning, it is still visible when the sun has risen; and especially at dawn before we can see the sun, we can still see that planet Venus, which is the morning star.
And it is the same Christ who said in Revelation chapter 22, verse 16:
“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.”
And now, notice how Christ says that He is the Bright and Morning Star; but He is not the literal star, He is not Venus, it’s because Venus represents, typifies Christ.
And now, we find that He also says that to him that overcomes He will give the Morning Star. Revelation chapter 2, verse 28.
And now, this is, therefore, spiritual astronomy, which is more important than physical astronomy.
And now, let’s look at a place here in the Bible: Genesis (in chapter 15) tells us about human beings typified, represented, in stars. Genesis chapter 15, verse 1 and on, says:
“After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.
And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus?
And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.
And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.
And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.
And he said unto him, I am the Lord that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.”
And now, notice how God tells Abraham on a starry night, He brings him out to the field and tells him: “Now look at the stars, and number them, if you can count them,” they cannot be counted, one galaxy has millions of stars; even more so all those galaxies that we can see (the ones we can see, because there are many that cannot be seen). “So shall thy seed be.”
There we see how the children or descendants of Abraham are represented in stars; and that is why the Scripture in chapter 24, verse 17, of Numbers, says that there shall come a Star out of Jacob, that is the Messiah; because the Messiah is that Star, typified in the morning star, also typified in the sun, and so forth.
The people of God are represented in the stars of heaven. That is why in the spiritual world and the spiritual Heaven we are stars of God, which must keep our orbit in the Divine Program, stay in the Divine Program; that is what it means to stay in the orbit that we must revolve around: everyone revolving around Christ.
And now, the signs in the literal sun, moon, and stars are important; whenever something great is going to happen on Earth: it is shown in the sky. In other words, whenever something great is going to happen in the spiritual Heaven, first it is shown in the literal heaven.
And when it happens in the spiritual Heaven in the midst of the people of God, that is a spiritual sign for the spiritual world; a sign that cannot be understood by those who are not awake in the spiritual world to see the things that are shown in Heaven being carried out, materialized, in the spiritual world.
And now, we have the case of Jesus’ birth, for which a Star was seen in the sky, the wise men saw that Star, the wise men, there in the East, in the land of Babylon, of Ur of the Chaldeans, over there, they saw that sign in the sky; they studied the stars and they knew that whenever God is going to do something on Earth, He shows it in the stars, He shows it in heaven, and therefore they knew that sign in heaven was none other than the Star, the sign of the Messiah, the sign that the Messiah was born.
They were very wise to see that Star, that sign in heaven, looking from where they were, looking towards Jerusalem; that is, looking from East to West; because they were in the land of Babylon, of Ur of the Chaldeans, in that whole territory there, and Jerusalem was this way; they were in the East and Jerusalem is West of where they were.
Therefore, they saw the Star in the East; and that is why, since they were looking from East to West, they say: “For we have seen His Star,” (where?) “in the East, and we have come to worship Him.”
Let’s verify it here in Saint Matthew, around chapter 3, let’s see if we find it around there… Chapter 2 of Saint Matthew, says:
“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.”
In other words, they were there in the East… The place where they were, over in Babylon, is East of Israel; looking from the East to the West, to the land of Israel, they saw the Star.
The First Coming of Christ was looking—for the wise men, it was looking from the East, where they were, to the East; but when we come to examine the Scripture carefully, the land of Israel also pertains to the East: the Middle East.
Now, for the Second Coming of Christ it will also be looking from East to West, looking to the West which pertains to the continent of the Americas, where the Coming of the Lord is being awaited for the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of us who are alive. As simple as that.
Now, in order for that sign to be seen in the sky, the planets Jupiter and Venus aligned; and that is a planetary alignment. That alignment takes place every certain amount of time. It is a sign in heaven of a promise being fulfilled on Earth, a Divine promise: the Coming of the Messiah. That sign has been repeated again in the past century.
And now, we are living in a very, very important time; because when something happens in the sky, we have to search on Earth for the fulfillment of a Divine promise, of something that God said He would be carrying out on Earth; that is the reason there are signs in the sky: in the moon, in the sun, and in the stars.
And then there are also signs on Earth: earthquakes, tidal waves, tsunamis, volcanoes, the melting of polar ice due to global warming… all those things are signs to the believers in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
For this reason, Christ said that when we see all these things come to pass, to lift up our heads, to where? To Heaven; to lift up our heads, for our redemption—that is, our transformation, the redemption of the body—is near.
We have already seen all those signs in Heaven, and we will still continue to see more things happen in heaven. And therefore, we will continue to have our mind and our heart lifted up to God, to Heaven, to the heavenly things, to the things of God, waiting for our redemption, the redemption of the body, which is our transformation.
In a planetary alignment, we find the following: If you put a light bulb of a certain wattage, let’s say 100 watts, at night; and you are sitting over there and everything is dark, and I put on a 100-watt light bulb here: it all looks very bright; and if I then put a 500-watt light bulb behind it, then it looks much brighter, and it looks as if they were one; and after that I put on a 1000-watt light source behind it, and then it looks bigger and it looks like one giant one.
That is how it is when a planetary alignment takes place: at a certain moment they are all aligned, and the planet that is first in relation to the Earth looks bigger; but it’s because the others are also shining, so a greater light is seen.
Now, when the stars… Remember that Christ in Revelation chapter 2 and chapter 3, as well as in chapter 1, appears in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; and then He also appears in the Book of Revelation with seven stars in His hand, and the seven stars are the seven angels of the seven Church ages or seven messengers.
And now, notice how stars also represent messengers of God; and Christ, well, the Bright and Morning Star, a star that shines brighter, that has more light than the rest of the stars in relation to Earth.
All the members of the mystical Body of Christ are stars in God’s spiritual Heaven, they are seed of Abraham, descendants of Abraham; for all the believers in Christ (all those who are of faith in Christ) are children of Abraham, Saint Paul says in Galatians chapter 3.
And now, when the ministries of the Two Olive Trees align with the ministry of Christ, that will bring a great Light to the people of God: The ministry of Elijah, and the ministry of Moses there too (a greater Light), and the ministry of Jesus (a greater Light); and the greatest sign will be seen there in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ: three ministries, three stars, three planets aligned, of the spiritual world.
And that will be the greatest sign in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, enlightening our understanding with the Light of God, opening our understanding in order to understand the time in which we have been given to live; and that will be the greatest sign in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Remember that the greatest sign from God has always been a prophet.
A prophet appearing in Egypt with a rod, Moses, was the sign of deliverance for the Hebrew people; because God, the Pillar of Fire, the Angel of the Covenant, was in him and with him, to carry out the fulfillment of the promise of the deliverance of the Hebrew people.
When Christ appeared on Earth, the Bright and Morning Star, that was the greatest sign for the deliverance of all God’s sons and daughters from the kingdom of darkness; just as the Hebrew people were delivered from bondage there in Egypt, from Pharaoh’s kingdom, which was a type and figure of the kingdom of the wicked one.
And at the Last Day, the deliverance will be physical: with the resurrection of the dead in Christ and the transformation of us who are alive; and thus, we will be delivered from the earthly kingdom, the Gentile kingdom, which is in the stage of the feet of iron and clay, and we will be passed to the Kingdom of God in the literal.
And the problems of this Earth won’t affect us anymore; because they affect us in the physical body, but in the glorified body they won’t affect us; and soon that promise will be fulfilled.
That is why Christ says that when we see these things happen: to lift up our heads because our redemption is near; that is, the redemption of the body, the glorification: our transformation, for us who are alive, and for the dead in Christ the resurrection in eternal bodies.
And all of that will take place where? In the Age of the Cornerstone, among the mystical Body of Christ our Savior.
“THE SUN, THE MOON, AND THE STARS INDICATING THE TIME AND GIVING US THE SIGNS OF THE END.”
Another very important sign that Christ gave in Saint Matthew chapter 24, verse 14, is: “And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
The preaching of the Gospel of Grace revolves around the First Coming of Christ for the Dispensation of Grace; and the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom revolves around the Second Coming of Christ for the Dispensation of the Kingdom.
In Revelation chapter 14, verses 6 to 7, it says there will be an Angel (and angel means a ‘messenger’):
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”
And now, this Messenger who comes with the Everlasting Gospel, the Gospel of the Kingdom, to preach It to them that dwell on the Earth… for this reason, where does he have to be? On Earth, and remember that angel means ‘messenger,’ with the Everlasting Gospel, the Gospel of the Kingdom, which revolves around the Second Coming of Christ and His Claiming Work.
Therefore, under the ministry of this Messenger who will be preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom and announcing to mankind that the hour of judgment has come… because It contains the Divine Revelation of what will happen on Earth at this end time.
And what Christ didn’t read there in chapter 4 of Saint Luke, when He took the reading to read the Book of the Prophet Isaiah in chapter 61, where it says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me.” And He started to list all the things He had been anointed for, and to finalize He says: “And to preach the Acceptable Year of the Lord.” And He closed the Book, and He gave it again to the minister.
If He continued reading, what it said next was: “And the Day of Vengeance of our God,” but God’s Day of Vengeance would be preached at this end time, and not at that time of the First Coming of the Lord.
And here we see the Angel with the Everlasting Gospel to preach It to them that dwell on the Earth; and that Messenger announces that the hour of the Divine Judgment has come: “For the hour of his judgment is come.”
In other words, he is the Messenger who will come preaching the Day of Vengeance of our God in his Message: the Gospel of the Kingdom.
But he will also be speaking and preaching about the resurrection, about the transformation of the living, about the rapture or catching away of the Church; because that is the part he will be given.
In plain words, through him God will be blowing or sounding the Great Voice of Trumpet, the Last Trumpet, God’s Last Message which is the Gospel of the Kingdom, it is the Last Message, and it is for the last dispensation, the Dispensation of the Kingdom; that is why it is the Last Trumpet, the Last Message of God.
A Trumpet is the Message of God, the Voice of God speaking to His people.
Therefore, we have been seeing these signs both in the literal heaven and in the spiritual Heaven; both in the sky of the literal stars and suns and moons, as well as in the spiritual world. We have been seeing all these things in the midst of Christianity.
Therefore, let’s keep our heads lifted up to God, to Heaven, to Christ, to the spiritual things, conscious that we are seeing the signs of the end. We can’t deny that we are seeing the signs of the end.
“And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached, for a witness unto all nations;” (meaning, all the Gentiles, and the Hebrew people are also included); “and then shall the end come.” In other words, the sign that the end is coming will be the preaching of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
Therefore, it will be speaking of, in that Message of the Gospel of the Kingdom, it will be speaking of the end of time, the end of the world, the end of the Gentile kingdom and the ushering in of the Kingdom of the Messiah, the ushering in of the Millennium, seventh millennium, and all these things.
Therefore, let’s be alert, waiting for what God has promised for the believers in Christ of the Last Day, of the end of the world.
We are already very far along in the Divine Program, we have been seeing all these signs.
And to conclude, let’s read in Saint Matthew, chapter 16:
“The Pharisees also with the Sadducees came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.
He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.
And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowering. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?
A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.”
The sign of the Prophet Jonah would be the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ.
And now, the signs of the times, the signs in heaven and on Earth, which indicate the time in which the human being is living, the prophetic time, God’s time, appointed by God for the Divine Program to be carried out in that time…
What was promised for that time? Well, the Coming of the Messiah; and the signs of the times were being fulfilled at that time: it was the visit of the Star of Bethlehem, which was the sign that the Messiah had come, had been born on Earth; and other additional signs were seen in the sky; and not only in the literal heaven, but in the spiritual Heaven, among the Hebrew people, as the Coming of the Lord was being fulfilled.
Let’s be alert, let’s be prepared, and have our spiritual eyes wide open, to see the spiritual signs that are being carried out, being fulfilled, in the midst of Christianity, and also the signs that are being fulfilled in the midst of the nations.
We have the sign of the fig tree; it says: “And He spoke to them another parable…” and He began to speak about the fig tree, and the fig tree typifies Israel; and the other trees, well, the other nations. Israel being established as a free and sovereign nation, and other nations also being established as free and sovereign nations.
Those are signs in the world: in the Gentile kingdom and also in the midst of the Hebrew people; things that would happen at this time in which we are living.
It has been a great privilege and blessing for me to be with you on this occasion, testifying to you about the signs of the end: the signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars, indicating the time, that is, indicating the end time.
