Good evening, beloved friends and brethren present, and those who are connected through the Amazonas satellite or the internet in different nations; on this occasion, where on Fridays in this auditorium you almost always have a half vigil: you come unhurried and hungry to hear the Word of God, and also to sing and glorify God, unhurried.
For this occasion, let’s read Revelation chapter 19, verses 11 to 16, and it says:
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”
May God bless our souls with His Word and allow us to understand It.
Our subject is: “THE SWORD OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
It’s strange for a sharp sword to come out of a person’s mouth; but notice what that sword is: in Hebrews chapter 4, it gives us a clear idea of what that sword is; and It is the Sword of the King, of the Messiah, in whom God is in all His fullness. Hebrews, chapter 4, verse 12, says:
“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
There we can see that the Word of God is like a two-edged sword. And in Isaiah chapter 49, verse 2, it says:
“And he hath made my mouth like a sharp sword.”
And now, the sword that He puts in his mouth, notice what It is: It is the Word of God. In Jeremiah chapter 1, verse 4 to 10, it says:
“Then the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Then said I, Ah, Lord God! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.
But the Lord said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord.
Then the Lord put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.”
And now, here God has put His Word in His prophet’s mouth, and He tells him: “I have set you for – over all the nations, over nations and over kingdoms, to root out, to destroy, to pull down, and to throw down;” meaning, to bring judgment, to speak judgment with that Word of God that was put in Jeremiah’s mouth.
Because that is God’s creative Word, that is the two-edged Sword that comes out of God’s mouth; and therefore, where God is: in His prophet-messenger, He puts It there, and that creative Word is coming out of the mouth of God manifested through a man; It comes forth, and what happens? What is spoken takes place.
And now, we have seen what the Sword of the King of kings is: It is the Word of God, the creative Word of God, with which He created the universe and with which He has cut out the stones, living stones, to form His spiritual Temple.
With that Word, with that two-edged Sword, from age to age It has come out of the mouth of God through the messenger He has had for each stage, for each age. Christ said: “I didn’t come to send peace to Earth, but to put a sword – but a sword.” That is in Saint Matthew, in chapter 10, verse 34.
And therefore, when He spoke the Word of judgment upon Jerusalem, upon the temple and the buildings that were there, then it was fulfilled in the time of Titus Vespasianus, in the year 70, when he entered Jerusalem and destroyed the temple and the rest of the buildings; and there was not left one stone upon another; the same thing that Jesus said: “There shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”1 He put the Sword in there, the Word, and what happened? Later on what had been said was fulfilled.
And now, knowing that the King’s Sword that comes out of His mouth, is the Word… just like it also appears here in chapter 1, verse 12 and on, of Revelation, where the Son of Man appears with a garment from the neck down to the foot. Chapter 1, verse 12 and on says:
“And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks…”
That pertains to the seven stages or ages of the Church. He turned to see the Voice that was speaking in the midst of the Church during the seven stages or ages.
“… and being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks,” (there we have the seven ages),
“And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, (…).” (That is Christ, the Angel of the Covenant in the midst of His Church in Holy Spirit.)
“His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
And he had in his right hand seven stars.”
Those are the seven messengers of the seven ages; in other words, they have been under His power from age to age, it has been the power of Christ manifested in them.
“… and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword…”
That is the Word of God through Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, in the midst of His Church, who has been in the midst of His Church from age to age manifested through the Messenger pertaining to each age.
“… and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”
And now, here in this passage, since Christ, the Angel of the Covenant, is girded around the paps with a golden girdle: He stands as Judge. To stand as High Priest, He would have the girdle around His waist. Now He is there as Judge, that is why His hairs are white like wool; just like English judges and those from other countries used to (and some still do) put on a white wig, which represents experience and authority as well.
And here the Messiah, the Son of Man, Christ, we see Him here with a white wig on; it’s not that He is an elderly man, He is there as Judge, which was represented in ancient judges, who wore a white wig.
That white wig, which speaks to us of experience, of maturity, also represents, along with His beard, it represents the messengers of each age, and the one on the top part represents the Angel who was different from the rest, in His appearing in that cloud formed by seven angels that appeared in the year 1963, in the Arizona skies, and caught away Reverend William Branham and took him to be with them in that cloud formed by angels;2 and the Angel who is different from the rest was there with a Sword as well.
And now, we find Him here with a sharp two-edged Sword: It is the Word. In Revelation 19 we read… let’s see what the Sword is for:
“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God,” (of the wrath of the Almighty God).
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.”
Now He has changed from High Priest to Judge, and consequently, to King. Therefore, in His Claiming Work, He makes His claim —the way it is done in a court— He does it in the Divine Court, where He claims everything that belongs to Him, which He died for on Calvary’s Cross: the original Creation; and therefore, to redeem all of God’s elect written in Heaven in the Lamb’s Book of Life.
And now, in Heaven He is given the Title Deed.
Like in a court, when the title deed is given to an heir and that case was on trial, litigated, for him to claim what belonged to him; and when the judge’s ruling or sentence is given, he is granted the title deed, and therefore, everything belongs to him.
When He is given the Deed, everything belongs to Him; therefore, He will inherit what belongs to Him, which He died for on Calvary’s Cross.
And therefore, He is going to judge. He is the Judge who will judge the living and the dead, and He will also judge all the nations; and therefore, He has the two-edged Sword to bring judgment upon nations, peoples, and tongues, as well as individuals.
Everything that He will be doing will be transmitted to the human race through the words that the Holy Spirit will be speaking through the ministries of the Two Olive Trees.
God will place His Word in the mouth of these Two Olive Trees, which are the ministries of Moses and Elijah being repeated at the Last Day.
And therefore, the two-edged Sword, the Word of God, which has been in the mouth of the Lord, using It and speaking through His different messengers…
Notice, in the messenger of the seventh age, on different occasions we find that two-edged Sword discerning the thoughts of people’s hearts, and also speaking things into existence, and also speaking diseases and many other things out of existence.
We find on occasions when it was said to Reverend William Branham: “Whatever you say will happen;”3 the Sword was put in his mouth.
• We find that he spoke squirrels into existence on different occasions; they were created by that creative Word.
• He also spoke to resurrect a little fish that had died and was floating in the waters of the river where he was fishing; and the little fish resurrected.
Anyone may think: “But such a great power of creation being used for the resurrection of a little fish?” And didn’t Christ use it to multiply the little fish too (the fish) and to multiply the loaves of bread?4
Nothing is too small for God. Everything that God created is great before God, whether it is a little fish or something smaller than a little fish.
• And now, we find him also speaking to nature, speaking to a snowstorm that was coming and was going to cover the whole place where he was hunting, the entire forest; he and those who were with him would die if that storm hit the place where he was. But the Holy Spirit told him: “Speak to it and it will go away.”
God put His Word in the mouth of that man of God, of that prophet: he spoke It and the storm went away.
Sometimes it is more difficult to tell a person to go away, and for the person to go away, than to tell the storm to go away.
• And now, we also find him speaking out of existence the tumor that was in one of the ovaries of his wife; who was in Tucson, Arizona, and he was in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
There is no distance for the creative Word of God.
Do you remember the soldier – the Roman officer, who came to Jesus to tell Him that his servant was sick? And Jesus said: “I am coming and I will heal him.” And the Roman officer said to Him: “You don’t need to go! I am a man of authority, and if I tell such-and-such a soldier to go, he goes and does what I say. Just say the Word and my servant will be healed.” And Jesus says that He had not found such great faith in Israel as He found in him. He spoke the Word and then the servant was healed.5
We find many cases like this as well, repeated, in the life of Reverend William Branham; as we also saw in the apostle Peter and the apostle Saint Paul, and other apostles as well.
• He also spoke salvation to the children of a Christian woman; and they came crying to the Feet of Christ the moment he spoke that Word. Because the request of the mother of those young men was the salvation of her children.
Because salvation is for all eternity.
To ask for anything material is something temporary, for some time, but to ask for salvation for one’s relatives or for oneself, that is for all eternity; it is the best thing that one can ask for oneself or for one’s relatives.
And now, we have seen that that creative Word of God has been manifested in different messengers in which Christ has been, the Angel of the Covenant, who is the One that has the Sword, the Word; but He puts It in the mouth of His messengers, and the Holy Spirit Himself speaks through them; and that is the Sword coming out of the mouth of Christ, of the Messiah, of the Holy Spirit, that Word coming forth through a man. And what that man is speaking is fulfilled. Why? Because that is the Word of God.
On one occasion6 Reverend William Branham was on a mountain praying, and something fell into his hand; and when he looked, it was a sword (a sword); and he says that he was afraid of bladed weapons (most Americans are afraid of bladed weapons).
And he says: “A sword.”
And the Voice of the Holy Spirit says to him: “It’s the Sword of the King.”
And he says: “The sword of a king?”
And he was told: “No, the Sword of the King.”
That is, the Sword of God, which is the Word of God.
And now, that Sword is the Word that God put in the heart and mouth of that man that God sent for the seventh stage of the Church; a man with both consciouses together.
Therefore, while being in the subconscious… because he could pass from the conscious to the subconscious while being awake; when passing to the subconscious he sees the Sword.
And now, when he is already preaching on the Seventh Seal in the year 1963, when he is praying, about to conclude that night’s preaching, notice what he says: page 479 of the book of The Seals in Spanish, of this version, says [p. 558 in Eng.]:
“[373] And I pray that You’ll help me, to let me be true, Lord, and honest and sincere, that I might be able to bear the Message as far as it’s ordained for me to bear. And when it comes to the time that I must lay down, and I get down to the River, and the waves begin to come in, O God, may I be able to hand this old Sword over to somebody else that’ll be honest with It, Lord, and will pack the Truth.”
The Word, the Message of God through His Holy Spirit, has been passing from one messenger to another throughout the different stages of the Church.
And now, after Reverend William Branham, in whom was the Word, the two-edged Sword, now he prays so that he can hand over that Sword to someone else, who is honest with It, who bears the Message as far as he must bear It; and therefore:
“[373] … to somebody else that’ll be honest with It, Lord, and will pack the Truth.”
And now, after Reverend William Branham the question is… since we already know that he had the King’s Sword; that’s why he was able to speak, because the King’s Sword is the creative Word of God, he was able to speak things into existence and also speak things out of existence; in other words, he declared things out of existence and they disappeared.
And now, to whom would he or did he pass on the Sword, the creative Word of God? At this end time, the question is: And who has the Sword of the King of kings and Lord of lords? Remember that what we saw in Reverend William Branham will be seen when the One who has inherited the King’s Sword appears.
Notice what will be happening, and let’s see who will have the King’s Sword. Page 362 says, let’s see here, including a bit of 361 [p. 415 in Eng.]: “Now, we know, the ‘fire.’ In the 19th chapter…” First he reads Revelation chapter 11, regarding the Two Olive Trees, he says:
“[285] …if any man…hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth,…” (then he makes a comparison here, he says):
“286 Remember, out of the mouth of Christ come the sword, Word.
…devour their enemies: and if any man shall hurt them,” (he says), “he must in this manner be killed.
287 Now, we know, the ‘fire.’ In the 19th chapter, of the Coming of Christ, ‘proceeded His sword from His mouth,’ which was the Word.” (He says), “Is that right? The Word! Oh, if you’ll get this material now, for that Seal tomorrow night! See, the Word is the thing that God slays His enemy by. See?
288 Now look here. When these prophets are prophesying there, they…If any man mistreats them, harms them: ‘fire proceeds from their mouth,’ Holy Ghost Fire, the Word. The Word is God. Word is Fire. Word is the Spirit. See? ‘Proceeds from their mouth.’
289 Look at Moses. Let’s see what come from his mouth. They, Israel, got to, way they were doing there, the—the…I mean, Egypt, they were mistreating these Jews. Moses…Well, they wouldn’t let them go. Pharaoh wouldn’t. God put the Words in Moses’ mouth, see, it’s God’s thoughts going into Moses’ heart, he goes over now to express it, then it becomes the Word. Stretched his hand forth, said, ‘Let there be flies,’ and here come flies. Look here.
And if any man hurts them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemy:…
290 See? There it is. They can speak what they want to, and there it happens. Amen!
…and if any man…hurt them, they must in this manner be killed.
291 Brother, God rides on the scene here!
They have power to—power to shut the heavens, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy:…
292 Elijah, he knows how to do it; he’s done it before. Amen! Moses knows how to do it; he’s done it before. That’s the reason they was kept back. Now…Amen!
293 I could say something awful good right here, but I better—better hold it until tomorrow night,” (he is speaking in ‘The Sixth Seal,’ and he says that he better hold it until ‘The Seventh Seal,’ until the day when he is going to preach on the Seventh Seal). “See? All right.
…and have power over the waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with…plagues, as oft as they will.
294 What is it? What can bring these things but the Word? They can do nature any way they want to. Here it is. They’re the one who brings on this Sixth Seal. They uncover and open it up. It’s the Power of God, to interrupt nature. See, the Sixth Seal is completely an interruption of nature. Do you get it now? [Congregation says, ‘Amen.’—Ed.] There is your Seal. Who does it? It’s the prophets, the other side of the Rapture. With the Power of God, the Word of God, they just condemn nature. They can send earthquakes, turn the moon into blood, the sun can go down, or anything, at their command.”
Who has or will have the King’s Sword? It is the Two Olive Trees, Moses and Elijah.
And now, let’s see another place. I have a very important place here where it tells us about this. This is on page 136, paragraph 1208, of the book of Quotations; and it is a passage that comes from “Questions and Answers” from the year 1964,7 preached by Reverend William Branham. He is asked:
1208 – “[186] [Question 253] Will the Bride—will the Bride before Jesus comes, will She have all power of Holy Ghost to perform miracles, raise dead, and so on as in the latter rain—or is this the latter rain for the hundred and forty-four thousand Jews? Will all ministers have this, are we, or, are we just waiting for the coming? (…)” Now the answer:
“197 Now, latter rain, a hundred and forty-four thousand Jews, no, that isn’t… that… they won’t… that’s—that’s when Elijah and Moses…There’s where the miracles take place. The things that the people’s been looking for, the Pentecostals, for miracles, that’s where that’ll take place in that, under them. See, that’s Elijah’s and Moses.”
And now, according to these words and the ones we read before, who will have the Divine power? The Two Olive Trees, Moses and Elijah, will have the creative Word in their mouth to speak and for things to happen, by the creative power of the creative Word of God.
To whom would he hand over the two-edged Sword? To the Two Olive Trees. There is no dispute about that. The book of Revelation, in chapter 11, states that they will have the power to shut heaven, they will have the power to speak the apocalyptic plagues into existence; therefore, they will have the creative Word in their mouth, and, therefore the two-edged Sword, the King’s Sword, coming out of his mouth.
Tonight we have seen our subject: “THE SWORD OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
And now, throughout the history of the Old Testament and the New Testament we have seen in whom the King’s Sword, the Word of God, the creative Word has been: It has been in the mouth of the different messengers, of the different prophets that God has sent; the Holy Spirit has been in them; and therefore, the creative Word has been in the Holy Spirit, being spoken through His messengers.
Having that knowledge is important, but we can’t stop there. We have to see where the King’s Sword is promised to be. According to what we have seen, the prophecies say that the Two Olive Trees will have the power to shut the heavens, to speak plagues into existence, or whatever they want to speak.
Therefore, the creative Word of God will be in his mouth, in the mouth of Moses and Elijah; and therefore, the King’s Sword will be there at the Last Day.
To find the King’s Sword, well, we look to find where the Word of God for this time will be; and therefore, we will be looking where it was promised.
Therefore, we will be looking for the ministries of Moses and Elijah, the ministries of the Two Olive Trees, to find the creative Word of God, the two-edged sword being spoken at this end time to bring into existence both the blessings as well as the Divine judgments; to make known, to speak, the things that must shortly come to pass, both the judgments as well as the blessings.
And then, when we see that two-edged Sword, the creative Word of God being spoken, we will say: “We are seeing the ministries of the Two Olive Trees working.” But they will need to have a veil of flesh, a veil of flesh through which to work.
May God allow us to see the Sword of the King of kings and Lord of lords at the Last Day in which we live; and therefore, to see who was the one who inherited the blessing of receiving the King’s Sword that was in Reverend William Branham.
In whomever we see it: That will be the one whom he passed It on to; and the one to whom he – or of whom he asked God to let him hand It over to somebody else who was faithful and who was (let’s see how he says it here): “Honest.”
Therefore, we will again see and hear the same One who said: “Let there be light,” and there was light;8 who has been speaking through His different messengers throughout the different times; and which spoke through Jesus, spoke through the apostles, spoke through the different messengers of every age, spoke through Reverend William Branham; and we will be seeing Him manifested, veiled and revealed, at the Last Day, in whomever He places the ministries of the Two Olive Trees, of Moses and Elijah; and therefore, we will see the Anointed One of God, anointed with the Holy Spirit, with the two-edged Sword coming out of his mouth.
There will be a man; there will always be an instrument, a veil of flesh through whom God through His Holy Spirit, through the Angel of the Covenant, will veil and reveal Himself, and speak His Word (and therefore: His creative Word), and open the Scriptures to us at this end time; and the blessings promised for our time will come into existence, which will be spoken and fulfilled.
Watch that Word, that two-edged Sword.
We are living in a very, very important time. Israel will spiritually awaken at any moment, it will hear and see the two-edged Sword, it will hear the Word of God relevant to this end time; and that will be through the ministries of Elijah and Moses.
“THE SWORD OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
Who will have the two-edged Sword, the King’s Sword, at the Last Day? We have already seen that it’s the Two Olive Trees.
But the question then arises: And who will be Elijah and who will be Moses at the Last Day?
That is a very good question. Find out for yourself when you see the two-edged Sword, the creative Word of God; and then you will be able to say: “It is coming out of a veil of flesh.”
And find out what his name is, and then you will know who is the heir of the King’s Sword at the Last Day; for the King of kings, the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One, to speak that creative Word through that veil of flesh.
We will see all of that in the fulfillment of the Third Pull, which will culminate, will have its climax, in a Tent that was seen by Reverend William Branham.
The King’s Sword in the hand of a prophet, of a man, that is the Third Pull.
The Seventh Seal and Its work for the Last Day, that is the Third Pull.
The fulfillment of the Tent Vision, that is the Third Pull; manifested in the midst of Christianity, in the midst of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
And that will come through the Sword of the King of kings and Lord of lords coming out of the mouth of the Two Olive Trees.
It comes forth from God through the Angel of the Covenant, the Holy Spirit, to the one who is anointed with the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit operating the ministry of Elijah and the ministry of Moses; those are the ministries promised to be manifested with the King’s Sword. And then we will see the Messiah, the Christ, the Anointed One.
First we will see Elijah, and we will see the Sword coming out of Elijah’s mouth; that is what will identify him.
It was in the mouth of Elijah (Elijah the Tishbite); in the mouth of the second Elijah, which was Elisha; in the mouth of the third Elijah, which was John the Baptist; It was in the mouth of the fourth Elijah, which was Reverend William Branham; and It will be in the mouth of the fifth Elijah as well; and also in the mouth of Moses. Those ministries being repeated at the Last Day will have the King’s Sword, but they will need a veil of flesh through whom those ministries will be manifested, which will be operated by the Holy Spirit; and the Word of God through the Holy Spirit placed in the heart and the mouth of the Two Olive Trees, will come forth being spoken and being heard. As simple as that.
The Sword of the King. Of which King? Of the King of kings and Lord of lords.
Notice that the One who has the King’s Sword also has a name written that says: “King of kings and Lord of lords.” And in His manifestation He has always been putting It in a man’s mouth; that’s how it was in the Old Testament and that’s also how it has been in the New Testament, and it will continue to be that way at this end time.
We must necessarily locate the veil of flesh, in order to locate the ministries of the Two Olive Trees and also to locate the King’s Sword, the Word of God relevant to this end time being spoken.
That is what Israel is waiting for, and the elect of Christianity of the Last Day are also waiting for the same thing.
May God help us all to see the Sword of the King, of the King of kings and Lord of lords, in the ministries of the Two Olive Trees promised for the Last Day! May He allow us to see the veil of flesh and see those ministries working, and to see that Word coming out of His mouth, to see that two-edged Sword coming out of his mouth.
That will give us faith to be transformed and taken with Christ to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb; and also faith for Divine healing, because in the Tent Vision there was Divine healing by the creative Word of God being spoken, by the two-edged Sword.
May God bless us and keep us, and allow us the blessing of seeing the Sword of the King of kings and Lord of lords at the Last Day; and may It enter the very depths of our heart with blessings in abundance. In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
“THE SWORD OF THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.”
